Being able to walk out on the dock was so fun- beautiful sunsets every night. The cottage had so much character and everything we needed! Loved our stay!

Perfect cottage and location for a Chautauqua vacation

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage and the views. Excellent location for everything around to do. We will be back to stay again.

We love this place , perfect size for 3 or 4 , reasonable price for lakeside vacationing ,owner has provided just about every amenity you could think of! Close enough to Bemus to walk, but away from the weekend busyness .

My wife and I had a great stay for annual fishing trip to Chautauqua. Laurie was attentive host and communication was excellent. We enjoyed setting on the deck and chatting with the neighbors when we were not on the water.

The property met our needs except there were no tv stations. I guess you have to know how to do streaming and apps which we do not do. We were there to visit our son and daughter in law who live outside Jamestown and it was a great location, about a 15 minute drive to their house. We had a great time.

Everything is stocked well and organized. Tons of little touches as well as basic supplies.Would absolutely recommend.

Pretty house overlooking the lake. Small , but convenient town especially during the rain. Nice brewery. Catholic Church was nearby.

Second time staying here. Great location, just minutes away from Bemus Point. Laurie is a great host, providing great communication leading up to the stay. Very accommodating! House is stocked well for your stay.

The camp had everything we needed for a relaxing catch up weekend. We visited some local attractions, took a ride around the lake and had a campfire next to the water. The camp is stocked with dishes , pots and pans, a full kitchen( minus a dishwasher.) We visited in September and the neighborhood was quiet and well taken care off. All in all a nice time away.

This house was so cozy. We enjoyed the view of the lake but disappointed in the poor upkeep of cottages across the street. Some are just beautiful. Others should be torn down. We grew up in Chautauqua County and found this the perfect base for going off to visit all of our friends. Also many good restaurants near by. The. Fire pit was a great end to our day and the communication with the property manager was outstanding. I’ve stayed in many VRbO’s and experienced none better

The cottage is really well located, out of the main town of Bemus Point, but just a few minutes to everything. We especially loved sitting out on the deck at the end of the day, watching the very peaceful lake scene.

WOW , we loved Laura's place! We literally did not need to take anything for our stay other than our personal items! Everything you need plus so much extra was provided. Games, puzzles, books we really felt at home and loved our stay! This is a beautiful cottage with great lake access and views! We will definitely come back again and recommend to our friends!

Enjoyed the cottage and dock for a family getaway! We didn’t need anything during our stay but the host was available and communicative in case we did.

The cottage is much bigger than we expected from the pictures. The house sits on a nice size lot with a view of the lake and a long dock. We built a fire in the large firepit and there was even a bundle of wood to get us started! There are small cafe tables and chairs and four outdoor chairs on the deck and a picnic table in the yard, so plenty of seating for guests. The two sliding glass doors off the deck bring in refreshing lake breezes to cool the whole house. Since there’s only one air conditioner (in the primary bedroom), on warmer days, there are many fans in the house including ceiling fans. I run warm, and I had no issues with the heat;) The bedrooms are small but fine for the two of us. The primary bedroom has a full size bed and a large dresser and a very big closet. The second bedroom has a day bed (trundle). We didn’t open it. We used that room for our luggage. There’s also a cabinet with a TV inside. There’s a nice table that made a good charging station. The bathroom is a nice size with a huge walk-in shower and a stackable washer and dryer, which is super convenientl. Now the kitchen!! I have stayed in a lot of rental homes, and never have I been lucky enough to enjoy such a fully stocked kitchen. Well, at times, it’s stocked, but the stuff is gross and I don’t want to use it! Not the case here! We felt like we were staying at a friend’s home! Our hostess couldn’t have been kinder. She even left us some food and a welcome basket!

Not only is this location on the lake just right, but the house itself has just the right combination of space and amenities to make your time there wonderful. The dock and deck are great for enjoying views of the sunset. There are plenty of dishes and kitchenware, and many nice touches. The host, Laurie, is a great communicator and is gracious across the board. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely. Just the right combination for a week on the lake. Thank you for a great visit!!

Perfect Bemus pt location. Within walking distance ( one mile) to all the amenities yet quiet and natural setting away from the summer crowds . The owner thought of everything and then some to supply the home .

Great back deck with a nice view. We enjoyed watching the mother duck and her ducklings, the squirrels and the jumping bass while reading or hanging out with our family. I also loved the knobs on the kitchen cabinets. They looked like blue eyes looking back at us. The owners made sure we had things that we needed, including beach towels and lighters. They were very communicative and their caretaker stopped by to make sure everything was well. This is one of the best VRBO owners we have dealt with. The house is pretty much as advertised, however the bed in the master bedroom is a double, not a queen. My wife and I are larger individuals and we had to sleep in separate beds. Not a huge deal, but would have liked to have known that. Again, thanks for a great weekend.

Great experience every time we stay there. Owner is very responsive. If you want a place to just relax and unwind. Fish, take your water toys with you, sit by the fire or just watch the sunset on the other side of the lake. Take a deep breath, sit back and enjoy!

A little extra cleaning would go a long way. A few cobwebs and clean the windows and bathroom mirror. Also mirrors in the bedrooms would help get 4 women ready in the morning ready a little easier. Overall, everything else was perfect.

This was perfect. Description was accurate. The cottage was clean. It was an excellent weekend.

It seems the people who rented right before us had some problems with the property. These had been corrected by the time we arrived. There is still no air conditioning, but there is a breeze off the lake and plenty of fans. Then again, it wasn't terribly hot on our weekend. The property is right on the lake, but a short drive from the town and nearby attractions. Nothing is within walking distance. If you are looking for a location with many things to do, perhaps this is not a perfect rental. But if you are looking for a quiet weekend or more sitting by the water and occasionally going out to the nearby attractions, this is a perfectly fine rental.
