Our stay was wonderful. The only glitch was the first night when the smoke detector kept beeping. Someone came out late that night and fixed the problem. Thanks for the help. the rest of the stay was amazing, and we have many happy memories. I recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and make memories.

This was our second stay at the Salty Mermaid. It’s a great house for our group. Spacious and bright. Has a well stocked kitchen with all the basics. The main room is spacious and bright has a nice view of ocean. Plenty of space to hang out. Big dining table so all can eat together or play games. Will definitely book again.

This house had everything we needed, and the location was perfect!

We were looking for a different Christmas experience this year and the property was perfect. It was just as advertised and was a great fit for our family.

We are a group of six (3 retirees) who are traveling through Oregon, Washington, and Vancouver Island. The house was very clean and the layout worked well for us. It was well equipped. The only real complaint is that the property is fenced all around and connects with navy property so the access to the beach was down the road a ways and was fairly steep (a problem for my husband who has hearty issues). The parking is also very hard to maneuver but otherwise it worked out ok for us.

This property was extremely clean and had everything we needed for our family. With my husband and I, two teens and a 5 year old there was plenty of stuff to keep them entertained during the rain when the beach wasn’t really an option. Plenty of beds for a large group, and enough for a small group to be choosy on where to sleep. Loved the hot tub after a long day at the beach. Was very accommodating for our Labrador, and even had food and water bowls for the dog. I’d recommend to bring your own laundry detergent if you are wanting to make sure all your laundry is done for a trip home, but other than that they had everything we needed. Had a ton of kitchen gadgets and dinner ware to accommodate cooking at the house. Would visit again!

Loved the house! Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, great layout, nice hot tub and wonderful view! One drawback was that there was no direct beach access. Worked out well though because we just drove our cars down and parked for the day.

We enjoyed our stay here so much. It was quiet, peaceful and oh so beautiful! Don't expect to have much cell reception or internet connectivity. That is not necessarily a bad thing, just something to be prepared for. We enjoyed disconnecting for a few days and reconnecting as a family!

Lovely house. Great views. Comfortable beds. A bit disappointed that there was no access to the garage (in order to plug in my electric vehicle over night).

We had a great time. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. the weekend was relaxing all the way through.

Nice place! Clean!! Only bad thing was the hot tub was cold, so we weren’t able to get in it but we still have to pay for a cleaning fee:(

The home is in a small development in Pacific Beach. Everything was as advertised. Nice hot tub. Be sure to visit the town just up the road—Seabrook—which is very upscale and has several restaurants and a nice market.

The Salty Mermaid was a perfect place for our family to beat the Winter blues and relax by the ocean. The home has a wonderful view of the ocean from the front room. A beachy mermaid theme is throughout the house. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need for cooking. The large table was an excellent place for family games. We appreciate that there was plenty of room for our three families, the dog, and a toddler. Beach access is very close to the home. Seabrook is a short drive. Bedrooms were excellent. The hot tub was nice to use and warm up in after windy, rainy ocean walks. We look forward to staying again when it is sunny and warm. The ample deck would be great to watch sunsets from in the evenings. Parking is a bit tight, but manageable. Check in and check out was great. Thanks to By the Sea rentals.

We stayed here for our yearly family trip to the coast. It was a great location, relaxing and easy to check in. I would stay here again.

We loved our stay at this rental property! It had everything we needed, our kids we thrilled about the board games provided, it was decorated so cute, the master suite had tons of room for us to set up the pack n play. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend!

Stayed at the house with my kids and family from abroad. Wonderful space and we really enjoyed the house. The location is great for access for the beach and the rest of the Olympic peninsula.

We spent memorial weekend at the Salty Mermaid. It is a very nice well appointed spacious house and the 6 of us and two dogs had plenty of room. The view is very nice although slightly obstructed. Its a short 1/4 mile walk to the beach and you can also drive your car there along the same road. It was nice to get back from a cold wet walk on the beach and sit in the hot tub. Nice large table for all to eat or play games at. Kitchen was nice with enough basics to feed your crew along with a decent gas bbq on the deck. Internet is DSL so don't plan on lots of people streaming all at once but its good for watching a movie together checking email etc. About the Area Beaches are great to walk and some you can drive onto. There are no decent grocery stores close by. A couple of small ones for forgotten basics. Nearest true grocery store is about 30-40 min aways. Cellular service. There is no mobile pretty much in the whole area. ATT had a couple of bars. Not sure about Verizon or others. Make sure and get entry directions before you get there. Mine went to junk email so check that before you leave as cell service in the area is bad to non existent. I had been looking for mail from vrbo but the instructions come from another company. Parking is a little tight we managed to get 3 medium sized vehicles squeezed together in the driveway. Any more than that you are out of luck. If you need a place for 6-8 people that takes pets I highly recommend it.

The skies broke open to four sunny days! Great home for our family vacation and early Easter celebration.

I wanted a hot tub, The owner knew I wanted a hot tub.. They serviced it the day before maybe because of the previous renter. We were unable to use the hot tub until the second night and it still wasn't hot enough. Very disappointed. its a beautiful rental. but I expect what I pay for and so not really happy about that unit.

We had four teenagers and four adults and we all had enough room and a great time!
