Overall we had a wonderful stay! The floors downstairs were very dirty when we arrived so we did have to sweep/mop upon arrival. The owner did offer to send someone over to clean them once I reached out, but that wasn't necessary. Other than that the place was great! The house was well-stocked and was a perfect location for our family. Really just about everything we needed was within walking distance - the beach, downtown, and the harbor. It was also really nice that the owner provided beach things for us to use, especially the beach chairs and the beach wagon! That was a lifesaver with two infants. Having two pack n plays and two highchairs (one regular, one restaurant style) was a helpful touch too.

The property was just outstanding, Justin was always available for questions and suggestions. Our family was so pleased we vacationed here. We plan to return.

Received a welcome text from owner upon arrival ensuring access if we needed anything. Never had to call. Great location! House has everything, very clean and plenty of space. Teens loved that all 6 of them could share a room and the 3rd floor was perfect for our small dance party of 12. Highly recommend!

House was clean and spacious, perfect for our group of 7 people. Bedrooms are large and everyone mentioned how comfortable the beds are. Justin was very responsive and flexible with our check in and check out times.

We had a great stay in South Haven at Big Blue! The house is spacious and well maintained and in a great location for those wanting quick beach access. Other sights (maritime museum, downtown, coffee shop) were a short to medium walk away. The owner/manager was quick to respond to any questions by text.

We had an excellent vacation. We had perfect summer Michigan weather (sunny and 80’s but a nice cool breeze in the evenings) and the town of South Haven is the perfect family getaway, especially with young kids. Big Blue had one of the nice sand wagons we used daily, the kitchen had everything you would need, the beds, linens, and couches are all comfortable. The high chair with tray was so nice to have as this is something that is impossible to travel with but necessary for a 1 year old. The pack n play was also a nice touch to not need to bring ours. The wifi worked very well. The TV’s all worked well and had the cable, streaming devices we have at home. We had bikes with us and did lots of biking to town, Kal haven trail, to church on south beach, etc. perfect biking town. The large dispenser shampoo/conditioner/body wash was a nice touch. The bath towels could be a little larger and softer. The location is very nice. However, we spent our beach days further north where there was less people. So we did usually drive down to park just past dyckman and have our beach days there. We recommend staying here and consider this a more high end rental.

Property was amazing and exactly as described. House was walking distance from beach and was big enough so the 3 couples never felt like we were stepping on each other. It had everything we needed and even a few toys for the kids to play with. 10/10 would recommend.

Great place for groups or families in North Beach area of South Haven. Walkable to everything including beach, town, and marina. Highly recommend and will stay again.

The description of the property was as close to reality as any I have read. The arrangement of the home is excellent for a multi-generational group. The furnishings were very comfortable, the appliances modern and fully functional, and the kitchen was well supplied with sufficient table settings and cookware for our group of 9. The location is within a 3-5 minute walk of the beach, where you will also find an ice cream stand, playground, etc. It is also within two blocks of an excellent pastry and coffee shop. The manager, Justin, was very accommodating, from the reservation request through check-out and very prompt in responding to all questions. Of the three VRBOs I have rented in South Haven, this is the most modern, well-appointed and accommodating rental. Prior to departing, the family vote for returning to this property was 9 in favor and 0 opposed.

We stayed with our 3 young children (5, 2.5, 9mos), my mom, my sister and her fiance. There was plenty of room in the common areas, as well as separate spaces for anyone tired of being around the babies! The bedrooms were all large, clean, and had king beds. The bunk room had all queens and was so solid I never worried about my kids. The hosts were wonderful as well. This is the first home we've been to with pack and plays, highchairs, and baby gates available if we needed. So many thoughtful touches that made it family-friendly. We used the available wagon to walk to the beach, which was so close and so easy to access. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a great time at Big Blue. The location was great as we were able to just walk to the beach and a short walk to the town. Everything was clean and there was plenty of space for the 7 of us.

This beautiful place will not disappoint! Tons of room, for a large group. Everything you need in the kitchen and more! Top notch! You can’t beat the location, a Lake Michigan view from the top floor bar area! Hosts were outstanding, and we would definitely stay here again!

I have used VRBO for a lot of our family trips and this home was by far the nicest we’ve stayed in!! Clean, beautiful, new, comfortable! We were so impressed with just how big and spacious it was. And the location is so ideal. Just a few minutes walk to the big beach and less than a mile to town! We walked everywhere the entire weekend we stayed with our friends! Justin and Meg were SO friendly and helpful. They were always available but not too overbearing. They had amazing recommendations for places to eat and things to do! We even rented a boat based on their connections to the rental place! Thank you Justin and Meg for an amazing Labor Day weekend!! We’d love to come back again!

The house is spacious, airy, sparkling clean with plenty of comfortable couches and amenities. Hosts were great and kept in touch to make sure our stay was excellent. Mattresses and pillows were very comfortable. Our party of 6 adults were comfortable and happy - and everyone had their own updated bathroom! We would definitely return and highly recommend!

We've stayed in multiple properties yearly over 15 years in South Haven. This house was the best appointed with a fantastic location and extremely responsive owners. Of note was the attention paid to the details. Frequently, the properties we've stayed at were well kept and attractive but the appliances/decor/etc are cheap 'rental' fare. I did not get that impression at all at Big Blue and was so impressed by some of the items in the house that I went home and promptly ordered them for myself on Amazon (not a fan of Amazon but that's not the point). Whenever I contacted the host family, no matter how inane the question was, I received a very prompt reply. Would definitely stay here again.
