The property was effectively as advertised. Great location right on the water making for very nice sunsets received a text from management from what was said to be a neighbor reminding us about noise when our children were effectively napping, and there was no noise going on. This was a drawback. Sent a message about a minor light fixture repair and did not hear back for two days after we had already checked out everyone had a great time.Bring foil and saran wrap if you are traveling and cooking, because these were not there

We stayed at this property for three nights. Our arrival was super easy. The property itself is fantastic. You can’t get any closer to the beach. We lucked out and had incredible weather in February and got to sit in the Jacuzzi every day and chat with people walking by. The best part about this place is you literally pack up your bags and leave they don’t expect you to do anything for cleaning which is fantastic when you’ve had a fun weekend and you’re ready to hit the road.

Perfect size for a family of four to have room to stretch out. Steps to the beach. Adequately stocked and cleaned. Thank you! Would stay here again. Especially as it had a private front patio. We would have preferred NO hot tub, so there would be more room on the front patio for lounge chairs.And we loved the fact that we could bring our dog…that was a real treat.

The Life's a Beach Unit is a wonderful unit to accommodate a family. Wonderful beds, well designed bathrooms and a fantastic location on the beach front. The Hot Tub was an enjoyable treat for all after long days of walking and hiking.

The stay was great. Had a problem with the propane running out during me bbqing stakes the first night, luckily I found a extra tank in the garage. I think it should have been check and full when i arrived.

It is everything it is cracked up to be.

This was a great house! The location and the view were phenomenal! They provided shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, nice towels, and cleaning products. We spent the majority of our time sitting outside enjoying the view. We saw wild dolphins and watched the sunset every night. Watching all the different people walking, biking, and skating was also very enjoyable. I would definitely hook this property again.

We had a great time! Perfect location, it worked well for our two dogs. Great walks and people watching on the boardwalk. The house was well equipped and as described, although I did not realize it was a duplex! Lots of storage space for any long term stayers. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the evening, very nice!

Great stay with our two adult children and two babies. Everything was wonderful except the trash cabinet door won’t shut so you bumped into it all the time. The washing machine is very old and was broken the entire stay. They came to fix it 3 times and order parts etc. I wouldn’t stay again unless they installed a new one. It was hard with babies and they packed assuming there was a washer.

We loved staying here! Hot tub was sooo relaxing, the patio and views are a must see, everything was clean and nice inside, and the Surf Style managers were quick to respond to a propane question. Nice job team, well earned 5 STARS

We particularly enjoyed having a hot tub on the patio to warm up after being in the ocean. The house was nice and the proximity to the beach was great. On arrival, there was a note on the freezer that the ice maker was broken. Ice trays were supplied but we would have purchased bags of ice when we stopped at the local Ralph’s on our way to the rental. We noticed standing water on the downstairs bathroom floor which we reported the following morning. A plumber was supplied and fixed the toilet problem which had obviously been addressed prior to our arrival with caulk. The kitchen faucet was loose and the plumber also fixed that issue. On our first night, we tried to dry bathing suits and towels in the dryer. It ran all night because there was no heat. This was also reported on our second day and basically ignored by the management representative for 4 days. The day before our departure, the6 finally sent a maintenance man to look at the dryer which had a burned out coil and 2 fuses. It would take 3-5 days to get parts which didn’t do us any good. We felt the management was very neglectful in the maintenance and repair of this property. The online listing said beach towels and chairs were supplied. Not true! There are only 2 beach chairs to be shared for the 2 unit property, and we had only 4 beach towels for our party which they thought was 7. They did deliver 2 more towels on day 2.

Property was great for our family. Three bedrooms each with its own bathroom worked for 6 adults and 4 small children.

My families favorite part of the house was the hot tub. One of the few on the boardwalk that’s great for people watching. My favorites part was waking up in the master with the view of the ocean & sleeping while listening to the waves, it was fabulous. We are a family of 9, 3 generations, we had a great time. The house had enough space for us to feel comfortable. It was a short trip, but we did it all. Boogie boarded, walked the boardwalk, rented bikes, played in the waves, built sand castles, watches the sunset, relaxed & more.

We go to Mission Beach to vacation at least 2 or 3 times a year, and this house without a doubt, was our favorite. It was super clean, had everything we needed (and more) in the kitchen, and the patio and hot tub were amazing. From the very beginning (making reservations) to the very end of our stay, our experience renting this house was absolutely perfect!

The hosts were super friendly and made for a smooth stay. We appreciate the access instructions and dining recommendations, and the house was just as advertised...updated, 3 levels, ocean front. Couldn't have asked for much more, thank you! - Carter & Robin

Overall, location location location - about 1mile walk to PB and drives to La Jolla and Little Italy were less than 15min.

We chose this place for the patio and hot tub, and it did not disappoint!!! Easy access to and from the beach, and sunsets in the hot tub were priceless. The inside was very nice, you can tell it was recently updated. Nice bonus having each bedroom on a different level, and each had its own tv. Management was quick to respond to our question about trash and extra parking. Very nice job, two thumbs up

This house was in a great location BUT don't let the amazing pictures fool you. This home needs lots of work. Especially with the cleaning. The sheets and towels were not clean and it smelled like wet dog. When we sat on the couch and beds we had dog hair all over us. Also the middle floor which looks like its part of your rental..... I was in love with the middle floor that we could sit and watch the sunset....NOPE that is the where people actually live. They were very loud and have a dog that barked and a young child that screamed a lot. We were told by the surrounding neighbors that they were the actual owners. It states in the rental ad three levels. My main issue was the home not being clean including linens.
