Not at all what I was expecting but it surpassed any expectations I had

Just spent 4 days in this great place that was so enjoyable. Far enough away from the touristy spots of Keystone and Custer but within a 20 minute drive to Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, and Crazy Horse. The room has a bunk house feel to it with all amenities you need. The place was very clean, the bed comfortable and looked out onto farmland pastures with horses, cattle, and even deer on most mornings. Gas grills and a Blackstone grill are provided for grilling meals. There is also a very nice patio with a fire pit to enjoy the evening if you wanted. We selected this place because we wanted some peace and quiet after a long day of driving to see all the sights around Rushmore. You do have to drive down a gravel/clay road for about 5 miles to get to this place after leaving the main road, but the road is very well maintained and not a problem at all. Matt and Jen are wonderful hosts who live on the property and available for any questions or issues you might have. We would definitely stay here again!

What a gorgeous setting off the beaten path! The cabin was perfect for our one-night stay on the way to the Fairburn agate beds. We loved the cleanliness, great directions, and the solitude in a place that felt sacred. Would definitely recommend.

Matt and Jen were exceptional hosts. If you are looking for quiet beautiful scenery is the place to go! In the middle of many attractions. Very cozy, welcoming, we were able to relax 😊 after our excursions. Bed was super comfy. If you have any sort of disability they will be able to accommodate! Highly recommended!

It was a quiet get away, we were only there for a few hours as we were heading to the Buffalo Round Up but wish we had another day/night there.

We loved our stay at Ghost Canyon Getaway. The facilities are the best, location is perfect and Matt and Jen really know how to make you feel welcomed and appreciated, they are the best.

Such a cute little spot in an amazing setting. The room was nice and clean and the outdoor area was so nice. My kids couldn’t believe how many outdoor games/equipment there was. Could have stayed a lot longer than a day, but we were just passing through. My 5 year old told me, “mom, I want to live here.” :)

If you're looking for a rural property with lots of peace and quiet, this is the rental for you. The property offers a kitchenette, sofa, TV, air conditioning and a shared outdoor space. The outdoor space provides access to a grill and firepit.

This is such a cute little property away from all of the chaos. We would stay again.

The unit was very clean and well equipped. The property was beautiful and in a great location. We loved visits from the animals and peaceful nights by the fire pit under the stars.

The setting was beautiful, and it was convenient to Custer. Very clean. The pullout bed was not comfortable (probably to be expected) but the main bed was good. Great communication too. Thank you for a great stay!

Very clean and nice secluded area. Only 20-30 minutes from all the scenic attractions on the area. Owners were nice there is a little farm with cows and horses in the back yard. Saw a couple of deer too! Grill and fire pit outside. The only downfall were the mattresses. Our bed mattress was horrible and so was the couch bed mattress my daughter used. She wound up just sleeping on the actual couch. I did ask about mattress being replaced on bed before booking. I was told it was replaced. It didn’t seem like a newer mattress.

The cabin was exactly as advertised. It was very clean and had everything we needed. The quiet secluded location was perfect after a long day of sightseeing. The property owners were friendly and helpful during our stay. Will definitely return.
