Nothing, it was perfect. Walk to town is 10 minutes if you’re slow and 6 if you walk at a good pace. easy walk!

Situated at a perfect location, just next to the main road (still, quiet enough), with dedicated garage parking space, apartment Gavan is a perfect base for exploring not only town of Cres, but also whole Cres-Losinj archipelago. Apartment is located on a top floor of a smaller residential building, so quiet nights are guaranteed. Apartment is excellently, stylishly decorated and furbished with all you can think of (and it looks even better and cozier in person than in photos). Views on the old town and Cres bay are magnificent during day, as well as in the night time. We were a family of four, kids loved the attic/gallery room and lounge area. Taller adults might find the headspace too low for normal walking, but otherwise gallery is perfectly fine even as a bedroom/chill zone for adults, as long as you mind your head. View from the roof windows makes it up for a bit tighter head space. There are two grocery shops in 300-400m distance (Cresanka and Konzum), while biggest supermarket on island, Plodine, is less than 1 km away. Riva and mandrać (small port for boats) with all restaurants, cafes, etc. are just a light 10 min stroll away and main bus station is even closer. Local beaches are also within a walking distance if you don't want to go far, but it's worth going for a short drive to reach natural pebble beaches in Martinscica or just beneath Lubenice if you don't mind hiking uphill. Overall, we highly recommend apartment Gavan and can testify it's definitely one of the best accommodations you can find on the whole island!

A minor flaw in otherwise impeccable accommodation is slight noise you might hear from the hallway which apartment shares with another room for rent (same owners) when someone's checking in/out during night hours, while everything else is extremely quiet. Most people won't notice it, but I'm quite sensitive to night-time noises, so a bit more soundproofing under the door would be a welcome addition and making Gavan apartment 10/10 in everything you can think of.

A fantastic place to stay to visit the island!

Mirna was one of the most friendly hosts i‘ve ever met! She was supportive from the beginning and made sure we had everything we needed! The appartment was brandnew, very comfy and beautiful. Also our dog was treated with love at any time. The hosts have an eye for details. Coffee maker, waffle maker and a lot more. I could ask anything at any time - for example restaurant recommendations and i got even help with the reservation. We felt like staying at a friends house but with all the privacy you would ask for. I would also recommend this place for LGBT People! Thank you Mirna for everything! See you next year!

The room is awesome, cozy, modern. We had everything what we need. However the fridge is quite small (as you are at sea, the fresh cold water is a need :) ) but as it is just a room, we cannot complain at all :) Mirna is very kind and helpful :)
