we checked into our room to find brown stains all over the back wall under the bed as well as hair from the past tenant on the work station

Star was very welcoming and outgoing at check in! Property & rooms were clean and fresh-feeling. Decent stay for the price. The shower was more spacious than I expected, with lots of shelving. We appreciated the feeling of being more secure with the lobby doors (to get from the lobby into the main building) being locked at all times.

Walls are THIN; can be very noisy. There are no curtains over the windows, only basic blinds. I woke up at 430am thinking it was later in the morning because of how much light came through the blinds. The rooms are VERY basic. Simple metal bed frame (very noisy). No decor/lacks cozy feel. Only 1 night stand. Shower water pressure was nearly nonexistent.

everything else. I rented the room for a family member. i reported that I had a relative coming and their name was added to the room and I was told she would have to show her ID to get the room keys. When my relative got there, the front desk was completely closed (which it wasn’t listed anywhere that the front desk closes at a certain time). There is a phone where you can call for assistance which my relative did. She explained the situation (that her name was added to the room and she had her ID to verify her identity for the room keys). the employee told her it was “double booked” instead of verifying the information my sister provided. she then called me and I had to drive to the location to sort everything out. I was NOT happy and there were huge water bugs in the room. Also, the TV did not work so thwy had to watch tv on a laptop. At $200 for one night, this was a very crappy hotel and resulted in a ton of unnecessary inconvenience. Also, my card was billed twice. one of the charges is supposed to fall off but that means $220 dollars is in limbo until it does. Thank goodness I wasn’t relying on that money for food or anything. It was an overpriced mess. the staff did seem eager to resolve the issues when I spoke to them. Do note that ANY of the typical amenities such as a hir dryer or iron have to be retrieved at the front desk even though it closes at a certain time. There are no kitchen appliances (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) in the room and have to be purchased separately. I will not return nor would I ever recommend this place. it is likely only up and running because the staff does work to fix problems. Had the room of been as updated as the lobby, maybe it would have been worth it. But to pay that much for an old motel room with a cheap kitchenette, it just isn’t worth the headache or risk of infestation.

Room was exceptionally clean and beds were quite comfortable.

Barebones amenities in rooms. No coffee pot, no blow dryer, no tissue. Bath towels and wash clothes provided, but no hand towels. Two small bars of soap and two very small bottles of shampoo.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!!!!! RUN!!!! I booked two rooms on January 10th and I was notified on January 14th while I was already in Jacksonville that the hotel was overbooked and they could not accommodate our family. The manager was unprofessional, not helpful and horrible. He told us that he was book us a room with a neighboring hotel and we were informed after 4:00pm from booking that he LIED! He never contacted us, never tried to accommodate us, did not try to find another hotel and refuse to call/ speak with me personally. All the surrounding hotels are booked as well. So now we have to drive almost a hour away for another hotel. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had with a hotel. My family drove from Alabama only to be told, we overbooked our rooms and we can’t help you. By far the worst experience. I’ll be filing an official complaint with corporate and BBB.
