The room was magnificent! It speaks of opulence. We love the grand space and the view from our upgraded room. The simple yet so impactful gesture of surprising my husband with a birthday note and mini cake was just so sweet and thoughtful. The staff, from the porter, the receptionist, cleaners and the restaurant staff - all were very friendly, helpful and professional.

Excellent service from the moment we arrived with complimentary valet, drink on arrival, drink vouchers at their beautiful bar, and upgraded the room. Building is stunning and the location is perfect so close to the harbour We went with the included breakfast and the buffet is unreal with everything you could want would highly recommend!!

The staff at The Tasman were exceptional, making our stay memorable at every chance they could. The room was a great size and extremely comfortable. The breakfast offering, room/turndown service was a great touch and well done. If you’re using a car to get around Hobart and surrounds, the valet service was excellent and efficient.

I enjoyed the entire experience

Good breakfast, fantastic location, beautiful hotel and excellent service. Dining at 'Peppina's' onsite was a highlight.

The bed was too firm but I requested an overlay and the staff responded immediately; this made all the difference.

The hotel is perfectly located and supple with friendly helpful staff with spotless rooms and facilities. The continental breakfast served at Peppina was very elevated and scrumptious. There was a wide selection of options, fresh honey from the comb and options of eggs made fresh to your table. Fantastic breakfast if not one of the best 'continental' breakfasts I've ever had.

There was really nothing to be disliked at this location. If I had to nitpick it would be that there may be occasional drunk tourists who you can hear outside the hotel. My room was street facing so if the room you stay in was not it may have been much more quiet.

The reception was utterly fantastic. Hats off to Daniel who made us feel really welcome. Also the concierge having brought fresh water to cool us down.

The evening receptionist We arrived late driving down from Devonport after disembarking off the Spirit of Tasmania ferry. She made us pay a $400.00 advance and then advised us that the parking was not included We told her that it was suppose to be included in our booking with Booking.com However she refused to look into it but was very abrupt with me . I think the $45.00 charge is highway robbery and it should be included in your rate .I would not stay at your hotel again and will be advising my friends not to go there unless they want to get ripped off

The Tasman is definitely a five-star hotel. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is extremely classy. The selection of the breakfast buffet is huge and the staff service is fantastic! I will definitely be booking there again.

Most comfortable bed and pillows in Hobart, fabulous staff, beautiful food ( especially the oysters!)

The Tasman is a beautiful property, refined and fresh. The heritage elements are very special.

You could hear other guests entering and exiting their rooms and the doors slamming. The soundproofing of this could be improved.

Lovely luxury accomodation in Hobart. Staff were lovely and they had a thoughtful note and little plate of choccies for my partner’s 40th. Great views and the breakfast was so yummy
