Beer could be cheaper, fairly expensive
In all honesty that is my only complaint

Only thing I could say was no soap in bathroom supplied

Location only
Breakfast was terrible . Charged £8.95 for a child that could only have cornflakes as an option and didn't have anything apart from a glass of Apple juice. We had toast and apple juice .No self service to collect anything from a table. We all left hungry.
Our room was meant to be overlooking the front garden and beach, but it was at the back overlooking the cars and car park . Maybe it meant the neighbours garden was our view ? It stated in our booking it was a front view but the receptionist said she wasn't moving us or we would have to pay more but she didn't have a room anyway .
The service was terrible at check in .
The room was run down, shower was only warm
Would never stay there again
Left shattered after getting woken up 3 times by people entering the hotel until 1 am and floors creaking above us . Beds and pillows were really hard.
Nothing like the photos .
Also car park is tiny . Over flow car park ... well expect to walk through mud in the dark.
Which I did and all my toes were muddy.
Furniture from the 1980's .old tired and worn
Avoid !

Location was excellent. Walk out the front of the hotel & onto esplanade. Stunning views.
Hotel is v dated. Family room right beside the back door & car park so everyone that comes into the hotel with bags walked past our door with suitcase wheels rattling off the floor, talking, etc. They could also see right into our room so we had to have the blinds down & lights on.
Equipment in the room & decor feels like something from 20yrs ago. Its like a time warp.
Lots of workies staying so lots of noise from around 7am. Also lots of other noises, sounded like a washing machine above us at 7.30am.
V narrow main corridor used to navigate from front to back of hotel, staff, guests, workies all using this one narrow thoroughfare.
We didn't eat at hotel so can't comment.
We also felt a bit misled by the photos of the hotel which make it look better than it is.
£119 for a bed & poor sleep. Sorry, won't be going back.

Location is excellent.
Breakfast was disappointing - fried egg inedible on two days - had to be sent back to the kitchen. Arriving for breakfast after the coach party had left - uncleared and partly set tables - leftover from previous users.

Location , views and staff
Room decor could be modernised

breakfast was nice. big enough portion of a Scottish breakfast.
The location is excellent, right on the front with lovely views if you pay extra for a sea view.
The room was freezing! Thank goodness for a plug in radiator. The room was not made up on the Sunday and when I questioned it in the afternoon I was told that it had been cleaned. When I again said it hadn't, I got a few excuses as to why not which did not make any sense! However I eventually got an apology and clean towels but made the bed up myself.

Poor hotel for the money paid.

The staff were super friendly and accommodated requests without complaint.
The location was perfect, right on the beach. Food was lovely too.

Sorry but everything hotel food was rotten couldn't even make toast never again

The room was very clean.
Heating didn’t work. Room was old and very shoddy with ripped carpets. The headboard fell off. The pipes made the most awful noise when running water.

Staff were so friendly and eager to help. Had an issue with the shower and it was sorted within minutes. Beds were so comfy!
The shower was quite weak and even once it was fixed it wasn't wasn't the strongest.

Very comfortable room.
Noisey guests in the evening.outside my room alot of guests loudly chatting and banging doors.

Didn’t have breakfast to expensive
Lack communication with staff didn’t tell you about parking out back hotel that’s way you access after 11pm instead front door which be easier safer

Beautiful location overlooking the sea.
Staff were fabulous, breakfast was lovely.
Sorry, the beds were not overly comfortable however I am basing this on an expensive mattress at home.
3.8
Considering how cheap this place was my room wasn’t too bad
This place has seen better days , but is being renovated externally whilst being run on a shoestring

The curtains were excellent and of good quality. The en-suite toilet/shower was well appointed, clean and worked well. The water took a while to run out of the basin so the drain may need cleaning
The hotel promised a Scottish experience but failed to make any effort at breakfast other than to offer porridge. The cooked breakfast contained no ingredients that could be special to Scotland. The bedroom carpet was dirty and felt gritty under bare feet. It had a squared pattern so it was easy to see that the colour of the pattern my the bed was dirty compared with the colour at the edges and under the dressing table. The single divan bed had a broken castor which was not a problem as I was not moving the bed but indicates neglect of detail. The literature said that the bar was open until 11.00 with last orders at 10.30. It was closed and locked up at 9.45. The Receptionists chair in Reception was threadbare which creates a significant first impression that is not positive. A corridor fire door was propped open with a fire extinguisher. The place looks tired
