Breakfast was fine but no more than that

The breakfast was beautifully cooked and presented as were the meals we had in the restaurant at dinner.
The dining room was nice on two levels with a well stocked bar.
Staff were friendly and informative. One young member helped us upstairs with our luggage.
The view from the bedroom was superb over the Firth to Fife.
We were surprised that there was no lift to the upper floors but it gave us exercise.

Lovely hotel, spacious rooms, very clean, helpful friendly staff, lovely breakfast. Nice touches include sitting the group of us together for breakfast despite desperate bookings, left water sweets and breakfast bars out in reception for customers to bring up to the room. Delicious cocktails! Dog friendly.
Was waiting quite a while for breakfast to come out the first morning. Was timely second morning, Otherwise simply perfect!

staff were outstanding, recognised me and my partner when we arrived back from dinner and invited us in to the bar for a drink on them to celebrate our anniversary. brilliant service and made to feel really welcome.
should consider a overnight stay with dinner and bed & breakfast, didn’t really know there was a restaurant until we arrived.

The busy atmosphere of an Easter Weekend was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 1 hour wait after ordering our dinner for any food to appear was not great. I also fancied a mojito from the cocktail menu to be told there was no mint....basics!!

I think they should explain the breakfast pre order sheet when you check in. we were eating at 1 then going to the New Year’s Day bash the hotel has, so we brought our bags in mid meal once we could access our room , so didn’t see the form. I saw it when we were going to bed but thought it was for room service. we felt as if we got slightly scolded at breakfast when they realised we hadn’t filled it in. On another note, the window ledge begins the sink in the bathroom was very dirty and obviously doesn’t get cleaned.
