Worst rental experience ever....! The first night we arrived on 5/5/2023 someone broke into the home while we were sleeping and stole all of my cash out of my wallet. Over Two Thousand. Later that day after the cleaning people left my sisters' purse and jewelry were gone. I called the cleaning lady and notified her right away of the stolen cash. Her response was if I went to the police it would be “the worst two days of your life and they may keep you on the island.” The nightmare got worse... I immediately reached out to the host Nalini Mohan in an emergency state asking for help. I tried to call her, she would only work through email. I explained to her that the home was broken into and my cash was stolen. I let her know about the purse and jewelry as well. Nalini offered zero compassion and her response was to reach out to authorities. Which I did, I filed a police report with the Harbor Island Police who were very kind and helpful. But Nalini was zero help. Since her cleaning people had keys to the house I was extremely concerned for the safety of myself and my family. I reached out to her again asking her to call me. Her response again was to contact authorities... We ended up getting a hotel room on the island for the remainder of our vacation. I honestly cannot believe that we were treated this way. Nalini the host finally responded and in so many words suggested that my daughter could have stolen the money. This was one of the worst vacation renta

This house is amazing! Right beside the Pigly Wigly and literally in the best location! The interiors are beautiful and the beds are all so comfortable! This is one of the best houses on Harbour Island!

Me and my family stayed here while in town for my son’s wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The location was perfect as we could walk to the grocery store, liquor store, shops, restaurants and government dock. We did rent a golf cart which was fun to drive to the beach and explore the island!! We had 5 adults in our group with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms which was nice. There was an awesome private outdoor space which is where we enjoyed breakfast and cocktails. The kitchen was well stocked and Juanita was very helpful at acquiring anything we needed!! Other family members stayed in the house across the street called the Chatterbox and their house was so charming as well!! I would definitely rent one of these two houses again!!

We were looking forward to our first stay on Harbour Island and thought we had found the perfect property. We were granted an early check-in, which was nice, but the property was absolutely not ready. Workman were cleaning the porch ceiling in the backyard and there were maintenance issues that were being tended to all day. We quickly discovered the air conditioners were not working in the main living area of the house or in the outside bedroom. To summarize a long story, we had no AC for three days. The homeowner will say it was our fault for not allowing them to install them starting at 5:00pm on the second day however, they did not even have the correct parts to install them on the second day. Moving on from that issue, the home is VERY dark. Light bulbs are burnt out everywhere and although some were replaced, they blew out within a day so clearly the house has electrical issues. There is super limited seating in the living area. One sofa and two chairs. Everything looks tired. The beach towel have holes in them and they are incredibly worn. There are no beach chairs to use since the ones on property are rusted and not usable. There were TWO mismatched stemmed wine glasses to use in the whole house. Note: There is no dishwasher either. There is no direct access to the washer or dryer. The lovely and attentive housekeeper, will do laundry but you can't wash anything on your own which is frustrating. The grill is falling apart and you would never trust cooking on it. The pool light, which will heat the pool, is broken and does not work. The TV did not work and we had to watch football on our computers. Finally, while the property is in the center of town this also means it is VERY noisy and not relaxing at all. Roosters will wake you up starting at 3:30 am and go almost till 9:00 am. The hardware/lumber yard is across the street and they start their forklift at 7:30 am. Oh, and the one nightclub, Daddy's D's , is behind the house and has music till 2:00 am. If visiting HI, I suggest not staying in town and also consider one of the several resorts where you will likely have better amenities.

Jewelbox is perfectly located in Dunmore Town, just a couple of minutes walk from a grocery store, bakery, deli, boutiques, and restaurants. The house is well-maintained and communication with the the host was terrific!

The Jewel Box was a gem with a perfect location right next to the grocery store and central to everything else we needed on the island. It is beautifully decorated with an island vibe and the space fit our party of 5 perfectly. The kitchen was appointed with everything we needed as well. We definitely recommend this property!

What a wonderful vacation spot! We absolutely loved Jewelbox. The decor was beautiful, the rooms were comfortable, and everything was so convenient. The kitchen was especially well-equipped. We will be back!

The house is decorated as seen in the photos and such a cute place. Very conveniently located next to the Piggly Wiggly and Bristol Liquor store so you don’t have to go far to stock up for your stay. Housekeeping did a great job and comes once a day. Pool was maintained and clean. Overall a great rental!

Jewelbox was a charming and a great property for my family on our recent trip to Harbour Island! We loved the home, the amenities and the location. Truly felt immersed to the bohemian vibe. The home is a “jewel” as it served as a great destination in between our adventures around the island ~ beach, harbor, etc. The property was well maintained, clean and taken care of with TLC. The property manager, Nalini, was extremely attentive and made sure all our questions were answered about the property. Bottom-line: Jewelbox is an AMAZING place to stay on Harbour Island as it has a great combination of a charming home and a property manager that make being on vacation, especially with family, truly relaxing. My family loved our stay and the Jewelbox played a key role in making this a memorable trip!

Jewel Box could not be more well located! It is steps from the Pigly Wigly, a bakery, sandwich shop, shopping and everything else you will want and need while you are enjoying the Island. It is also minutes from the beach. Nalini, Neka and Clint are the BEST! You must have Neka and Clint cook for you while you are staying at Jewel Box. They catered a party for us for 22 people. It was beyond professional and delicious; one of the best meals we had on the island. Thank you Nalini, Neka and Clint! Hope to see you soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Jewel Box! We had the master bedroom on the second floor and our two children were on the main floor in a room with twin beds. My mom stayed in the adjoining part of the house. We loved that everyone had their own bathroom and that there was lots of outdoor space to hang out - we dined outside for every meal and it was heavenly. The decor is perfect and the house has lots of useful appliances and accessories - espresso machine, blender, state-of-the-art TV and sound system, sunscreen, towels, great glassware, toiletries... the list goes on! The location is wonderful - it was literally two minutes in the golf cart to the beach and the harbor. Nothing is more than five minutes away and the house is surrounded by wonderful shops. We felt so relaxed in the house and wish we were still there! The property manager is extremely responsive, kind and helpful, as are the housekeepers. We loved having that as a vacation bonus - light pickup every day. Overall 10/10!

(They made dinner for us 3 times and delivered it to our home. It was so easy and wonderful!) The home is exactly as pictured, and the pool was a great way to cool down!

Neka and Clint were great! The communication was quick and easy and they cooked fkr is one night which was wonderful! The house was as shown on line, everything worked well. The only thing I would suggest is that the outside Needs freshening up with new pillows, candles and new/more beach towels! 6 isn’t enough for 6 people really, unless washed frequently. Could use another chair in the LR, not enough seating for 6 people. Other than that we absolutely adored everything and had a ball. Would rent it again for sure! Ellie Proctor
