We hade an amazing week in Exuma. The house was beautiful and in an ideal location. The concierge service was amazing and RJ was so helpful with everything we needed. We had a few issues with water and power. We lost water three time and the power went out overnight, but RJ came as soon as we had a problem and handled everything. Overall, the house and location was perfect for us and we will definitely visit again.

Very happy with our stay. The house is even better in person. I plan on returning next year. RJ was excellent and went above and beyond for our stay.

Our stay was amazing! We loved everything! They provide Boat Transportation to the house at arrival and at departure, the house is beautiful! Our kids loved the Kayaks and the Water Swing. What we also loved very much is the Gazebo, where we spent most of our nights watching sunset with the family! Priceless! There were plenty of activities, on our second day we booked a private chef to come and cook dinner for us at the house, the food was delicious! And on our 3rd day we went exploring and booked the excursion to swim with the pigs and sharks! For the other days we mainly stayed at the house, relaxing on the beach and enjoying the beautiful waters and the ocean. We loved that we could use the shuttle ferry for Restaurant Reservations. The team is always there if you need anything, they also bought groceries for us prior to arrival! We had a great time and we will definitely be back! Thank you for everything!

Most beautiful beach in Exuma

Loved our trip. Amazing location and adequate facilities for our family and friends. Perfect location for our adventure. Caramel did an admirable job helping us. Lots of knowledge gained from this first experience which we hope will make our return trip even better. The boat which was associated with the house broke down on day one which forced us to rent a boat on short notice. Lucky to have made a friend in town who was able to help there. I would highly suggest having a good rental company connection aligned with this house to help as this to us was very important in getting around and experiencing the area. Our communication with the concierge was spotty due to the lack of stable internet service at the house. The Peace and Plenty shuttle was a big help for the first couple of days as Caramel was not able to help get us around. They did an admirable job as well helping us out. A couple of the air conditioning units didn’t work which could have been offset by some extra fans to use at night to keep things cooler in the rooms. Wonderful amenities for use such as the snorkel gear (we used this every day) and paddle boards. Beach chairs and umbrellas. Just a great place which I can understand how difficult it is to manage being on the island. For us personally having a 26-28’ center console boat with ample power and a canopy to use every day for our adventures is a must. We will book this proactively next time. I recently celebrated my birthday with a group of family and friends, and the Barrier Island House and its team were the perfect hosts. We were in constant communication leading up to our stay. I was a little concerned with the logistics of taking a rather large group away from the mainland, but everything from a private chef and groceries to massage therapists were all perfectly accommodated. Special kudos to Captain Caramel who was the absolute BEST boat captain and on-island support!!! The property was well appointed, very island chic, and true to the pictures. Lots of amenities and the non-motorized water sports were super fun. We enjoyed the most breathtaking view of the Atlantic. It’s proximity to The Snappy Turtle and Chat n Chill made food runs very easy. We are already making plans to return to Barrier Island. This place made my birthday a most memorable one!

We just got back from a quick escapade with friends to Stocking Island in Exuma and it was AMAZING!. It really gave us that “private island” feel. The home was perfect: new, modern and with all the conveniences you would want. The view from the private hilltop deck was outstanding, especially as the homeowners have equipped it with a cooler, blankets, cushions and working wi-fi up there. Just a perfect spot to enjoy the Bahamas sunsets! The water on both sides of the house was fantastic, crystal clear and just as we had seen in the listing pictures. There were plenty of spaces to hang out together as a group as well as for each couple to hang on their own. The team was responsive and great to interact with. We did not do much regarding tours and dining out as the trip was quite short but the team on the island (Renato and Azya) were amazing to work with (attentive, responsive, and always a pleasure to strike a conversation too) and offered up some great suggestions for our next visit. Fantastic trip, even if it was just a 2-day getaway. We are already planning to return for a longer stay!
