On the outside the cabins look a little dated and shabby but once inside they are very cosy and comfortable. We had Cabin 15 and the views all around were of the forest and so peaceful. For the visiting birder Sachatamia is an excellent choice with plenty of action going on around the fruit and hummingbird feeders. It’s possible to get some wonderful photographs. There are plenty of trails to walk around for those that want some extra exercise. The food was probably the best we experienced in our 10 days in the Mindo area. Needless to say all the staff were warm and friendly.

We didn’t like the poor weather we had with some extremely heavy rain but that was hardly the lodges fault and at least we had comfy places to sit while waiting for the rain to pass.

Great blind for attracting birds with a night light! Lots of birds to see, nice feeding station next to the restaurant and hummingbird station.

Pool needed chlorine, food is good but prices are a little steep for Ecuador.

The place itself is lovely and well maintained. Specially the pool.

Breakfast is quite basic for the price we paid. We were in sachatamia a year ago and the quality was better.

good food at restaurant. staff is very helpful. accommodated our early breakfast and late checkout without problems.

Great location in the middle of nature, the lodge caters to nature lovers providing a nice walking trail, a bird hide and a bird feeding station, attracting all kids of animals nice well appointed rooms with great views great restaurant

its a bit farther from mindo centre (10 minute drive)

It is a beautiful fascility Well thought out e.g. motion sensors light the paths as you walk The birding was spectacular there I reccomend highly
