This house is great for a weekend away with the family. Separate rooms for everyone and a living room that overlooks the ocean. Lovely.

The location is great, the view amazing. Although the furniture needs updating, the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the view, the fire pit and sound of waves. The property is bigger than anticipated. The only downside was the upper unit occupants. First morning, they were dragging furniture and luggage non stop up and down stairs starting at 6:30am. Very disruptive. We thought our second morning would be peaceful since they left, but nope, another family arrived with little ones running and banging on top of our heads since 6am!! Definitely not the peaceful weekend we were looking for. Maybe upper unit should have a clause to be more respectful and mindful of lower unit tenants! That’s the only reason we might not go back or recommend to friends.

First off, we stayed here in March of 2024, and yes, there is a new retaining wall and there are no steps down to the beach, yet. From the look of things, there probably will be fairly soon. This didn't stop my kids and us parents from just climbing down the retaining wall to the beach. If you're between the ages of 8 and 58, you can probably just do that. If you have a hard time with that, you can literally walk down the street two houses down to another beach access point, then walk back to be right by the house. So easy. Regarding the upstairs renters, yes their balcony overlooks the back yard, so if you're out by the awesome fire pit, or sunning yourself in the great beach chairs, they'll be able to see you. If the blinds are closed, they won't see you in the house. But gimme a break, if you're in the backyard, literally ANYONE walking by on the beach, or anyone in any of the adjacent houses can see you. Also, yes, the upstairs renters' access to the beach goes through "your" back yard. You might actually have to smile and say "hi" or "Great day for the beach!" and then continue ignoring them after that. We never had to. If you want your own private beach with no one else around, you might just have to rent your own private island! For me and my family, this place was great!

We stayed Nov 9-12 to play golf at a couple local courses & celebrate the Marine Corps Birthday. The check-in process was smooth, place was clean, view was tremendous, and location is perfect. Waves crashing against the sea wall 15' beneath your feet with an ocean view is the perfect setting. Only complaint is, we tried to get a guest in by leaving his name at the front gate. Security wouldn't take it and told us to call the property manager we dealt with. I called the only number I had in connection with this reservation, and she seemed confused but took the name and told me she added it to the list. The gate security said they still showed nothing about it. There is an obvious communication gap there, so we were forced to drive up to the gate, out of the property to pick up our guest, and again to return him to his vehicle parked off property later that evening when he left. The Gate Security was rude and uncooperative, which apparently they're known for. Other than that, great place to stay!

The patio and view were wonderful.

This house is lovely and I would very much recommend it. There are three issues though that I think people should know. Number one the gated access to the house can be a bit of an inconvenience. You are only allowed two cars in the complex and they don’t allow for people to come in and unload unless they are on the list. While it is very, nice to have a gated guard, this lead to juggling around for groceries and packing and unpacking. Number two, we’ve stayed at this house before, and there were stairs leading down to the beach. We did not know that there was no access to the beach this time. While it wasn’t a big disappointment, as we could easily walk two houses down and get access to the beach, it was kind of a surprise. Lastly, there is not enough pots, pans, cups or plates in the house. Again very overcome-able but still a bit of a disappointment. Otherwise this house was lovely and I would highly recommend it.

No beach access like in photo. 6ft retaining wall now cuts off beach. Unnecessarily strict gate guards do not let deliveries in. House has 5 beds and a couch.

The patio was unusable sadly. Need: hot pads, napkins, Kleenex,

No access to beach and when we complained they stayed they would bring steps but never did false advertising

The home was situated right on the ocean which was so wonderful. The home was clean and the description of the home was very accurate.

The house layout and view is amazing. You feel like you are part of the ocean sitting out back with the firepit and high tide crashing in, sometimes up several steps. Amazing. The sound at night lulled us to sleep. The rooms were well appointed for comfort. Loved the carport and felt very safe! A few suggestions: 1. I know time caused this one, but the kitchen needs to be stocked better for a large group. We had 5 ladies celebrating a milestone birthday and didn't have enough coffee cups in the morning. We also needed baking pans, cookie sheets, etc. We wanted to use the oven but didn't have what was needed. I recommend stocking the kitchen to accommodate your maximum capacity. 2. I'm sure with salt air this is hard to manage. The counter tops and sinks in the bathrooms were a bit gritty. Easy to clean! The floor got sandy quickly (understandable with needing to open windows and leaving doors open with no air conditioning). 3. Be sure to tell customers that the house has two customers, upstairs and downstairs. We were not aware and first went upstairs as that was the first entrance from carport. Ooops... :-)

Great location right on the beach! Seven of us fit comfortably. We had no issues with getting through security and getting in the unit itself. Even had some food delivered with no issues. Overall the house was clean and comfortable but could use a little tlc. The photos of the backyard need to be updated as the furniture is a bit different and there is a fence along the back edge of the yard. It was hard to tell if the fence was a work in progress or not (if not, then it could really use some paint to make it more esthetically pleasing). There were plenty of beach towels. There were also some boogie boards, beach chairs, and lots of sand toys for the little ones.

This home has construction in the back yard. If you want a view of the ocean be ready to have it ruined by this sight. Construction has been going on for months. Vacasa falsely advertised the space and said construction was complete. Also note furniture might be switched around and won't match pictures. The house didn't have enough amenities (soap, toilet paper) for our two night stay. Paying top dollar for a run down place - if you're okay with that stay here. Last, Vacasa customer service is probably the worst.

Great location, views, beach access.

Best thing about this property was the view at sunset. There was a loft upstairs above the property that was never mentioned and was occupied. The people staying there can walk through the backyard & it was really strange and awkward having random people walk through our area while we were having dinner. Also the people at the property above can see down into the living room, so if you enjoy your privacy, this is not the place for you. The parking situation is terrible for a 4 bedroom property. The lights in the house are confusing, some switches worked some did not. A lot of light bulbs were either missing or simply not working. Including the stringer outside. The patio furniture in the back was rusted and disgusting. Would be better if they have vinyl or plastic furniture in the back so the salt water doesn’t corrode it. It seems like this place is just need more maintenance. I expected a much nicer place for how much we paid.

We had a family wedding in San Clemente. This was a perfect spot for us. Relaxing and close to restaurants in Dana Point and in San Clemente

We loved the proximity to the surf. The sound of the waves is magical for us. The home accommodated our family very well.

We had 5 girls for a long weekend. What a perfect place - great accommodations, comfortable furniture, beautiful location. Highly recommend! Beware, you really are limited for 2 cars, so make sure you aren’t all driving there for the weekend :)

Comfortable, well stocked and ready home on the sand. 2 master bedrooms and 2 guest rooms that share a large restroom with dual sinks and dual shower with extra shower on the side that is accessible for you when you come from the beach so you can go directly in the shower rinse off and take a few steps into the large shower. Open kitchen living room plenty of seating and tables, big windows for a beautiful view. They finished the construction of the seawall and new stairs. We were very comfortable and look forward to our next stay.

It would have been helpful to know construction was going on. Plywood for fencing, stairs to beach are gone, and no privacy in the back yard while workers present.

Great stay

The Good: Location is beautiful with ocean front immediate access out the back door. Management company was responsive to questions we had usually immediately or very quickly. Property is in a gated community and therefore very safe from folks wandering in. Interior of the property was very nice, appliances were all updated, and it was exceptionally clean. The Rest: - Severe beach erosion makes beach access essentially impossible and waves coming directly up to the back of the property - There is significant permanent structural damage to the back porch and patio area from the beach erosion, which was taped off by yellow caution tape, but someone could have very easily fallen in - The structural damage to back patio was pervasive and not disclosed in the property description when we rented, nor the fact that the beach was essentially unusable Overall: - In hindsight the moderate rental pricing for the unit probably "bakes in" the issues with patio area and beach access but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time - People / management Company were excellent, property was clean and safe

We arrived to see caution tape and a sink hole in the backyard. Photos do not depict the current erosion situation behind the home. There is no direct beach access - you have to walk down to a vacant lot to access the beach. Otherwise the house was cute and clean. Backyard was a huge bummer.

Vacasa property manager did not disclose that the whole back of the property was washed away, after booking Vacasa sent email about work being done on the north side of the property, we get there and the work is being done on the west side of the property and the beach front home has No beach access ? would not have booked a beach front home without beach access as advertised.
