The location is fabulous. It is a short walk to the beach. The pool is very nice. The layout of the building made our group's stay very comfortable.

We had a great view of the ocean for at least this year because another house is being built right in front. Great size pool for a great game of volleyball. Need to upgrade the VB net. House is older so there could be more upgrades. Overall the beach access is the key to this house.

Grew up in VB and came back to see friends after 37 years. We didn't use half of the house/bedrooms since many still live in the area. Off season super quiet and dark not many ppl around - nice size house/property. As a property owner who also rents through a private agency, I would recommend having someone come in and evaluate what you could do to bring the property to the level it COULD be and command the $ asked. Personally, I would recommend cutting down the bushes covering the address / mailbox on the street everyone kept driving past esp at night. House definitely needs upgrades and minor things like paint/decor/fixing minor things that are broken or just look like they need to be upgraded. A great place to crash and right across the street from the beach great location.... My advice is do your grocery shopping before you get to the house if possible esp if you don't want to have to drive or go out to eat and are just wanting to relax. In November there's not much around and most places don't deliver out there except pizza/salads/sandwiches. Not sure if thats the same in the summer? It would have been great to have a binder of local points of interest, events for the month/year (if we came back), local dining and just maybe overall details about the area and what's around. be prepared - you'll need a car to get anywhere.... and TRUE Va Beach is about 30 minutes drive despite 7 miles away. If you look at the distance your planning to drive multiply it by 3 or 4 and thats how long it generally takes to get there. wish we had the opportunity to use the pool and go to the beach but summer rates are super expensive.

Did not have any screens in our doors. House had a musty odor. Dishwasher was broken. Wi-Fi was trouble. And worse tge weather was horrible

Overall we enjoyed our stay. The location is great, the layout worked well for our group and there were updates that were nice. General maintenance is needed: exterminator for ants and spiders, power wash the outside, repair/replace window & door screens & handles/locks, t.p. holder. We’ve been vacationing together for a decade, so we know that rental homes are not pristine. This one needs more general maintenance than we’ve encountered before.

What a great and quiet location.

The location was perfect. We just walked out the front door crossed the quiet street and we were at the entrance to the beach. We all enjoyed the pool. The dining room table was large enough for all of us to sit down together The management was quick to respond to any of our requests

"By The Beach" more than met our expectations. With Gram & Grampa, their four children, their four children's spouses and ten grandchildren, the house fit our needs perfectly. The easy access to the beach, the relaxing pool, and the perfectly furnished, spread out bedrooms made for the perfect stay. Since it was the first time all twenty of us had been together for a vacation, we went in with some minor concern about how things would go. Bottom line, it went great. The home was expertly furnished to be appropriate for the various age groups. Practical furniture that we did not have to worry about with the kids, but no so minimalist that the adults felt cheated. The week went by in a flash without a single squabble or disagreement by anyone. Pretty amazing! We will definitely consider "By The Beach" for future reunions.

Perfect house and location....

The house was nice. There were minor things that needed updated and fixed. The kitchen was nice and spacious. The AC was great in the main living area. The upstairs needed more air. It was a great location and slept 9 of us comfortably. We would use this house again.
