Our two week stay was wonderful! Dana and Frank keep the property updated, attractive, and cared for; and Lynne does an exceptional job tending to any request!

There was not one thing about this house that we did not absolutely love. The layout was perfect for eight adults and three young children. We loved the location of the home, the big swimming, pool with attached, hot tub, and distance to the beach. The property manager was so helpful and kind. The week of our stay went by way too quickly.

My family has vacationed on Sunset Beach for decades. We love the island and now we have found the perfect house. We appreciated the easy contact with property manager. The house is immaculate and met our every need.

This is our 5th year staying here and we love it! Lots of upgrades this year and they provide so many things that you hardly have to bring anything other than your clothes. Already booked for next year.

This beach house was an absolute gift to our family!! When we checked in, the property was the cleanest house we have ever stayed in and was stocked with everything we needed for the week. The location and views were breath taking, from the front of the house with the sound and the back with the pool and ocean. This house is truly a hidden gem. We could not have wanted anything more. Extremely private property, we relaxed at the beach, pool and decks. We had fun fishing off the pier in the gated community. And all the little touches were the cherry on top - from the appetizer tray left by the property manager, to the furniture being in great condition, to the pool and beach toys and chairs left so we could use. We immediately asked for availability for next summer!!!

We have never stayed at a more wonderful home. We felt privileged to stay at this beautiful and immaculate home. The owners and property manager are amazing. We truly feel we were guests in the home of friends vs staying at a rental property. The location and amenities are perfect. This was our second consecutive year at the home and will continue to be annual guests Lird willing!

The house is better than ever.

This home was spectacular. It was such a great week with family and the home lived up to the pictures online. Our kids were blown away with the game room upstairs and it was well used on a couple of days when the weather wasn't great. Property Manager Lynne was so helpful and responsive...even in the evening hours. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We took our first full family vacation and chose Sunset Beach as our destination. I found this home and knew instantly it was “the one.” After reading a few reviews, it turns out I knew a family that stayed here as well. Communication up to and including the time of our stay was outstanding. There were just a few small issues, but Lynne immediately responded and had them taken care of within minutes. This house has EVERYTHING. There is truly no detail spared. The location is amazing. Sunrises can be seen from the back of the house and sunsets (which were truly awe inspiring) can be seen from the front of the house. The wildlife was spectacular from so many bird varieties to rabbits to even a fox sighting. It was so hard to leave!

Everything was perfect. 11 of us stayed here for a week. Prompt communication from the host. Great house in perfect condition. Numerous appliances with nugget ice machine, multiple coffee options, substantial kitchen with lots of extras not found in other properties. Fast Wifi. Multiple living spaces to separate adults and kids (teens). The location is private with ample area to spread out on the property and on the beach, which is a short 100 ft walk. Putting green was an awesome extra. Turf area also good for yoga, meditation, or stretching. Would stay here again.

What an awesome home! There is not one single negative or bad thing to say about this property, the location, the amenities, the response from property manager or the beautiful town and beach. We were excited to book this property once we found it on VRBO and saw our week was available so we grabbed it up. We stayed for 7 days and there were 6 adults and 3 kids under the age of 6. There tends to always be standard positive stuff in reviews that people say and believe me we totally agree with everything the previous reviewers have said but there is so much more to this amazing home and property than we could have imagined and should be added. The only thing our family had issue with was who was sleeping in which of the master suites! LOL! But seriously, any questions we had, like us not being familiar with pool equipment at the house or the elevator operation, were IMMEDIATELY responded to. There was even one day that a plumber came by to fix one of the outdoor showers which we didn't know or even ask to be taken care of. I previously managed 111 rental homes in my career and I can attest with no uncertainty that these folks are top notch and have 100% customer care and service in mind. We never had to want for anything in this house. They really have thought of everything for all ages and even though we went into town for groceries, we never had to leave. The seclusion and privacy were perfect and appreciated and so welcomed. It was such a serene location and comfortable home. We had the whole beach to ourselves and even though we had a bit of the cold weather come through, we ended our week on a perfect note with warmer days to enjoy the sun, water and sand that never seemed to end to the waters edge. WOW!!! We even got to see a little fox out behind the house by the beach. If you are looking for the best location and home with amazing people that will take care of your every need, you can bet this is the place to book. We will be back. I can honestly say this was one of the BEST vacations our family has ever taken together, hands down! And thanks for the little welcome charcuterie board!! After a long day of travel, it was a nice little snack for us till we got settled in and were able to get to town for groceries. Truly the best all the way around!!!!

We 5 couples have been meeting every two years for a Labor Day Week vacation between Ocean Isle Beach and Sunset Beach. This year we found a property that is second to none. We had a couple of early hiccups with all the high tech gadgets but the property manager handled everything as well as could be expected. We generally bring plenty of peripherals to the beach with us, we could have left everything home. From linens to beach towels to fully equipped kitchen to beach chairs to an awesome pool and steps to the beach. We decided not to wait for another two years and we will be staying at Fleur de Mare again in 2023. Thank you Frank, Dana and Lynn, best week ever in Sunset Beacch.

We love this house and we love Sunset Beach! We have been visiting SB for over 30 years and have stayed at quite a number of the oceanfront homes. Fleur de Mer, where we have stayed for three years in a row, is--by far--the best for a number of reasons. The location is second to none, as the eastern-most house on the island, with a stunning water view on three sides. The swimming pool is a major bonus, especially when traveling with kids, since they can swim late in the day without having to drag everyone and everything down to the beach (and without dragging back late-day sand). The house is spacious, clean, and well appointed. Not only does it have the usual kitchen appliances and cooking tools, it offers a Pac-Man machine, a ping pong table, beach towels, two outdoor showers, beach chairs, up-to-date electronics and a five-hole putting green. Unlike many homes we have rented, there is sufficient space, dishwater and cutlery to support full occupancy (what's worse than ten people in a house with only six seats at the dining table or eight coffee mugs?). The house was sold in the last year and the new owners have really done a great job upgrading what we already thought was a great home. We HIGHLY recommend!

Everything about this property is fantastic. The upgrades that have been made since last summer made a great house even better. Communication with the property manager was the best I've ever had for a rental property. A five star experience!

House and grounds have been recently, and beautifully, renovated. Upscale quality throughout. Plenty of room, attention to details such as new indoor furnishings, dual work area, comfortable game space and new outdoor furniture and lounge areas. Wonderful new landscaping, beach shower and built-in BBQ. BEST addition to the rental was the property manager Lynne, who answered every inquiry and issue with immediate concern and resolution. All requests were treated with professional courtesy and care by Lynne and she made the 2-week vacation hassle free, and it measurably elevated our experience of renting on Sunset Beach. We can't compliment Lynne enough, and thank Dana and Frank for their foresight in hiring her.

The home was perfect! We have been renting homes through the two large rental companies serving Sunset Beach for approximately 30 years. It is always evident which owners take pride in their homes and which see their homes as nothing more than a profit center. The VRBO process was amazing and only exceeded by the owners of this home. The owners clearly see this home as something special that they want to share with others who will appreciate all they have done to make their home the perfect home for a family vacation! The decorations, layout, amenities, cleanliness, etc. etc. far surpassed any previous experiences. The pride of ownership and desire to share their home with others was amazing. I hesitated writing this review because we selfishly wanted to keep this our little secret. However, the owners have done such an amazing job, it is only fair to share with others who will truly appreciate all their hard work.

My family has been going to sunset beach for over 30 years. The house has a beautiful location. Views were gorgeous. We did have a problem with doors locking and we could not turn timer off. Everything else was perfect

Used to vacation at Sunset Beach in 1980's. Decided last fall to find a large beach-front home that could accommodate all 15 in family. This house was perfect. Perfect location (east/sunrise) end of island. Easy access to "cross the Atlantic" at low tide to Ocean Isle. Beautiful beach. Latest TV, stereo system. Recently remodeled. Wonderful layout. Very helpful, responsive agent and owners to our questions. Sadly, my wife passed a month before our visit, having fought breast cancer for 6 years. We made our stay an extended celebration of her life. She was there in spirit. Highly recommend this house, stay.

Beautiful home in a stunning location. The amenities far exceeded our expectations, the attention to detail surpassed any of our previous family rentals. Lynne, the concierge, went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The beach was pure perfection. There were attractions and shopping nearby, but we spent most of our time enjoying the pool and beach. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with our family.

Amazing location for this luxury rental; back covered deck affording wonderful sunrises over the ocean, front porch with rocking chairs for intercoastal sunsets.
