We loved the location, very close to beach access on foot and via 4-wheel drive vehicle on Ramp 38. The house was clean, beds were comfy, bath towels nice and fluffy, and good water pressure in shower. Only a minor snafu with the check-in code, but the owner responded within 10 minutes to correct the typo. She was also very helpful with recommending places to dine nearby. We would stay here again in a heartbeat and look forward to our next trip to the OBX. It was a fantastic vacation!

My husband and I, along with a friend and her family, very much enjoyed our stay in Avon, NC. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was nicely provisioned and the beach is just a short walk away from the house. We would very much recommend staying here.

We had a nice stay at the Outer Banks from 6/11-6/17. The house was clean and ready when we arrived. Very helpful to have a check out list of the things that we needed to do prior to our departure. The owner of the house was very helpful and always responded quickly to our emails regarding questions about our stay.

We had a great week. The house had everything we needed and we found the location to be perfect. Close to all the things we planned to do and a very short walk to the beach. Little things like flashlights for finding ghost crabs at night were nice touches for my kids. Owners were helpful and prompt to respond.

Highly recommend! Loved Park Place’s coastal decor, ceiling fans throughout, well equipped kitchen, porches, & picnic table! On a nice, quiet street with other beach houses, but only 2-5 min from Food Lion, pharmacy, fishing pier, & playground. Visit nearby Ketch 55 for delicious fried/broiled seafood. Beautiful, wide, uncrowded Avon beach is across the street. Our 4yo managed the wooden stairs and sandy path over the dunes just fine, & we carried our toddler in a hiking backpack so our arms were free for chairs/toys. FYI, there’s a great selection under the house. While enjoyed by the adults, Avon Beach was a little intimidating for our young kids with its steep slope down to the ocean & rough surf. We found south-facing Frisco Beach (which has a parking lot, bathrooms, showers, & ramp) to be flatter with warmer, calmer water, though still uncrowded! We enjoyed the scenic 18 min drive there- get an Apple Ugly from Orange Blossom Bakery (trust us!) on the way, checkout the lighthouse, pickup sandwiches from Pamlico Deli for the beach, & grab ice cream from Happy Belly before heading home. Our kids also liked the small sound beach at the Haulover Day Use Area 3 min from the house where they could watch kite boarders & windsurfers (& we loved how easy of an outing it was). Park Place is a comfortable & conveniently located home base for exploring the area, & Stacy is very communicative & ready with recommendations!

This cute beach house is in a great location and is just as shown in the listing pictures. It was a perfect fit for our family! It is a quick walk to the beach, and we enjoyed the area a lot - we liked that restaurants that were close by or an easy drive away and it was central to everything we wanted to do! And the kids really liked that there is a basketball hoop in the driveway too. :) The hosts made sure we had everything we needed and we hope to be back again soon!

We really enjoyed the house and the area. Close to Avon and just a short walk to the beach. The house worked out well for our needs. It was a little cold at night with the winds and drafts, but the heat did the job of keeping us comfortable. We appreciated all the labels on lights, etc. letting you find things easily.

This is a very nice and extremely well equipped home in perfect condition on a quiet side street steps from the beach. The owner was very responsive and instructions were clear. Would stay there again.

Came here for a week in early September. Liked it so much, we returned within two months! Loved the Fall here because no one is on the beach! Will return next year.

This property was away from the commercial side of the OBX, yet convenient to get to every site we wanted to see and across the street from the beach access. Tavern on 12 and Munchies in Buxton are great eating locals. Want to go back soon.

The owner allowed us to check in early due to our circumstances, which was unexpected and very much appreciated. She was very nice to work with throughout the booking and stay. Very dog friendly and open and airy home. We were disappointed that there were no views of the beach from the upper deck as stated in the listing. There was a tiny spot that was possibly a view of the sound, but not what was expected due to the listing. Overall a great home. Would recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Park Place! We loved the location and the closeness to the beach! Avon is a lovely town to stay in- not too crowded or busy. We had a great time fishing at the Avon pier, shopping at the local farmer's market and Food Lion, renting bikes, and enjoying the beach! The house worked for us. Stacy was a helpful host. We highly recommend Park Place!

This was the perfect location for our family trip. We were close to everything that we wanted to visit, but we were not right in the middle of town. That way we had a quieter place to relax when we didn't want to be on the go. It was a nice walk to the beach and a very short drive to many other beaches in Avon. The house was clean and comfortable. It fit 5 adults, 1 child and 2 dogs comfortably with plenty of space. We loved drinking coffee and hot cocoa every morning on the porch. We definitely can't wait to vacation in Avon again!

This place was spotless, the location was amazing, and the home had everything we needed from baby gates, booster chairs, a rocking chair, bed rails for kids, a picnic table, chalk, basketball hoop, and fantastic suggestions for eating and activities. One of the best we've stayed in. We will 100% come here again!

Great house for a trip with family friends - well stocked kitchen, big table, great deck area, close to the beach, and in a wonderful town. Had a great vacation. Stacy was very helpful and responsive, helping quickly rectify a mix-up in bed sheets by cleaning staff.

Great location, close to store, restaurant and beach. Exactly what we needed for a last minute mothers day getaway with family and pets. Host extremely responsive and accommodating, highly recommend!!

We stayed here for a month for a change of pace. We worked remotely and the wifi was great. Even though it was off season and a bit chilly, we were able to make the short walk to the beach several times a day and saw dolphins frequently. The house was clean and well maintained and had lots of natural light. The kitchen had everything we needed for an extended stay. Hosts were quick to respond to the few requests we had. We would definitely recommend.

We were 3 senior citizens going fishing. Bad weather but we had a great time and the property was just right for for group.

Close to beach. Good overall location.

We stayed here for 3 days. It was clean and nice, but did have some issues. The people before us left 2 trash cans full of trash which attracted a large number of flies. The trash company only took one can so we had so many flies out front that we couldn't enter or leave without leaving 4-5 flies in. The lower level porch was unusable because there were so many flies. Beds and sofa were comfortable overall and the downstairs set up was nice. Contacted the company several times with decent response times. The use of the Hatteras club pool was great and we really enjoyed that. The views and location of the rental were okay. No real view of sound or ocean even from top porch. Very hard to get to beach with 2 small children and a dog due to needing to bring a lot of stuff and not being able to use a wagon up the stairs through the beach access. Overall nice place but not perfect for our needs.

The house was okay the bed sucked and it definitely could have been cleaned a lot better I would not say covid standards. The house itself was good great location and my family did have fun

We came in 2020 during COVID for a short stay (3-4 nights), and decided we loved the location and wanted to extend our stay this year. Upgrades had also been done! Looking forward to returning again!
