This was the perfect spot for our big family vacation. The AC in the unit was amazing!!! The place was VERY Clean, spacious, and came with everything you could need. In the garage there was everything you’d need for the beach including: 2 really nice Tommy Bahamas chairs, 2 other beach chairs, sand mats, a beach tent, HUGE plastic igloo cooler on wheels, towels, Tommy Bahamas umbrella. That made our beach day GREAT! Our only problem was that communication with the owners was very difficult as this is owned by a vacation home service not a homeowner so they never really replied to VRBO messages. There was a phone number to call which always had a 10-15 min hold to get to an employee who didn’t know much about the actual unit. For example before our stay i had messaged on Vrbo to ask about coffee maker and i never received a message back and on our stay it didn’t have any extra garbage bags in the unit. I had to call the number and was told they put in a request. An actual person did text me the next day and brought some trash bags for the unit but, the 3rd party aspect of this stay was a bit cumbersome. Overall I would definitely book again and recommend to anyone staying on the island

The communication for staying at this property was great. We had all the details we needed before we arrived. The location is great for staying near the southern shore of the island. The space for my family was perfect and everything we could have needed was available. We will definitely be staying here on our next trip!

Even though this place is not sitting right on the beach, it is only the quickest drive (maybe 3 mins!) to one of the nicest beaches on the entire island! This place was so nice, extremely clean and had everything our family of 4 needed plus way more. The community is nice and quiet and inviting. Great location! Shopping center with food options (and Starbucks) 1 minute away. Other great restaurants less than 5 minutes away. Highly recommend!

This unit was spacious, well-stocked, comfortable, and a great location in Poipu. We enjoyed every minute.

Of all the short-term home rentals I've stayed at over the past few years, this was my best experience in so many regards. Beautiful location, good interior layout, nice kitchen, well-kept, spacious, and amazing patio that is open to grounds. Almost all the little things were taken care of here! Maybe it's Kauai talking, but I do believe staying here greatly enhanced the experience. A couple things that could be improved though: - The wifi kept going out in the middle of the night and had to be rebooted every morning. - The guest bathroom toilet paper could have used the nicer toilet paper that was in the bedrooms. Overall, magnificent stay; highly recommended!

Very clean house, nice community pool area and gym, no roaches inside house (that we saw at least) came with little details that we didn’t expect. Thank you!

We were initially unable to find our unit and parking spot in the dark. The unit numbers are only visible by going up to each front door individually to trigger its motion light. Same for the painted parking spot numbers, but you have to provide your own light. We were looking for spot "12" but all the spots we could find were labeled "1D", "1E", "1F" etc. We had to call Vacasa for help, but they were unable to provide it. Finally we figured out that unit 1A was around the side, along with its parking spot, which was actually "12" like they said, unlike all the rest which were a number and a letter. Maybe we're just dumb, but ultimately it took nearly an hour of fumbling around blindly in the dark just to find the front door and parking spot. Inside was spotless and way more than we actually needed. We did have to go looking for the breaker box, as none of the outlets were hot. Luckily we were able to and one breaker was tripped. Last thing -- there are three TVs in the place. When we came back on the second night, all three of them were turned on and playing contemporary Hawaiian music. This one is still a mystery. Turned on remotely in a misguided attempt to make us feel welcome? A housekeeping service that we were unaware of but didn't leave evidence of anything having been cleaned? A prank? Paranormal activity? No idea, but coming back to that is somewhat unsettling.

The space is larger than what the pictures represent. The ceilings are nice and high and the master bedroom is on the opposite side of the unit from the second bedroom so there's a good sense of privacy. The unit was super clean, beds were comfortable, and beach gear was such a nice bonus. Usually beach gear in these rentals is pretty beat up but not here! Everything seemed almost new and there was even a full size cooler to use. Only downside, and it's no fault of the unit or owners, is the upstairs neighbors were always up through the night and footsteps, music, and closing and opening doors could be heard pretty easily.

Originally rented a 2 bedroom but due to water damage, we were upgraded to a 3 bedroom. Very spacious and wonderful views.

This apartment is beautifully designed, with lots of nice touches. It was clean and had everything we needed. Our family of five was comfortable. The pool is lovely. Nice modern property with good amenities - pool and gym, outdoor grills. Short walk to shops, golf, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed our Athletic Club membership as well for casual dining and activities. Our rental also included a car which was excellent. My only negative is that being in a ground floor unit you do hear the people above you.

This was our first family vacation to Kauai and we were grateful to have this condo!!! The unit was ground floor, clean, modern and very comfortable. The thoughtful details management provides to welcome you to their property appreciated. Not only did the condo have a full kitchen with basic appliances and oils and spices but they also provided beach accessories needed to keep our two kids engaged and happy; beach toys, boogie boards, travel cooler, beach towels, beach umbrella and beach chairs! It was gorgeous to wake up to the sunrise, have breakfast on the lanai and listen and watch the resident roosters and chickens, which really was most pleasant. The pool is a half block from the house and completely kid friendly! We BBQ'd every night here while the kids swam. The only annoyance started midweek when the neighbors upstairs arrived and you could hear them walking. Other than that, the condo had ceiling fans throughout, air-conditioning, washer and drier, onsite recycling and beautiful interior amenities. Getting to the beach is a 4 minute drive and super convenient to park and explore the shoreline. Koala Town is 6 minutes away and has a reasonable grocery store, cute shops, and delicious dining options. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully very soon. Mahalo.

Our group (4 adults) really enjoyed our stay at Great Vacation Retreat’s. Everything went very smoothly from picking up our rental car that was included with our stay to checking into the condo. Everything was sparkling cleaning and it was a very spacious and stylish condo. It was very nice having 2 masters suits. They provided everything we could ask for from beach gear, beach towels, welcome treats on the counter, and plenty of extra towels and bedding. Parking was right in front of the condo and the pool was a short walk away. We really enjoyed staying here and I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kaua’i. Great new ground floor unit in Pili Mai, a new development near Poipu beach. Convenience and close proximity to shops and restaurants at the south end of the island. Great unit with high end appliances and amenities. Everything was well thought out and well equipped. Enjoyed the stay fully. Please keep in mind that this is a ground floor unit and there are other tenants upstairs. Depending on circumstances, heavy children foot steps can occasionally be transmitted to your unit. But lovely otherwise.
