If you prefer to be in the middle of the action (even on drama-free SGI), this is a perfect house. It’s adjacent to the park and lighthouse, so easily walkable to all the island’s food and drink. This house has everything you need, but there were a few quirks: the slider in the main room requires quite a bit of muscle to open and close and we could never get it to lock; the dishwasher’s capability is questionable; there was mildew in my shower that some tilex would likely have eliminated; and there is no spigot outside for foot-washing (just a shower that sprays uncontrollably). But the good far outweighs these smallish negatives. As mentioned, location is unbeatable, beds are clean and comfy, and when the upstairs AC wasn’t performing as it should, Heather was incredibly responsive and the problem was resolved within 24 hours. The kitchen is nicely stocked and the house provided the perfect home for our weeklong stay with grandparents, teenagers and a dog!

It was the perfect location right on the beach. The home's balconies are extended more than most of the homes which is such a nice feature. It is the first house next to the lighthouse so everything is within walking distance. The island is so nice with no high rises and a very peaceful friendly atmosphere. Every question we had Heather responded right away.

Great location for walking to everything and the views are fantastic. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking all of your meals.

We love this house. This is the third time we have stayed a week in this home. Wonderful vacation with family! The only negative would be one of the bedrooms was not usable as the bed was broken. Looks like it had been repaired before as there was two by fours nailed together under the bed to help keep it together. When I contacted the manager she said I will fix it for the next renters as I can't antisapate these things. Didn't make me feel like I got what I paid for. I would still stay here again, just disappointed. I would sleep on the floor in this home as I love st George so much!

The property was in a wonderful location a short walk to the beach very clean very well equipped. Only thing we were disappointed in was the advertised recreational items under the house. Pool table foosball really we’re in bad shape. Great restaurants within walking distance we really had a fun time.

It was great being right near town on the beach and on the bike path. Views were outstanding. Improvements needed: pool cues have no tips, so playing pool wasn't possible. One master downstairs was spacious and remodeled; the other needs a chest of drawers and updated bathroom.

Perfect beach front location, walking distance to many of the businesses on the island. Awesome vacation and we will certainly consider renting this one for future trips to the island.

Great house, great location and the best sunrises I've seen! Everything was great! We liked having the vacant public access lot next to us due to the other houses on the street where so close to each other. A plus-You can see the lighthouse from the primary shower. My only complaint. There was not enough bath, hand or kitchen towels. Bathroom off kitchen did not have hand towels. The kitchen only had one towel and if a person used a towel for their body and one for their hair, someone did not get a towel. Bring your own.

This is such a beautiful place. The morning sunrises and the sounds of the beach from the deck are breaktaking. Everything is within walking distance. Everything is so peaceful and laid back. The only thing we would improve is having more supplies like toilet paper and trash bags. There was one roll in each bathroom and one trash bag in each can. But that didn't diminish in anyway how wonderful this place is!

Everything was as described and in working order. Had no issues whatsoever. Walking distance to everything. The teenage girls enjoyed biking and the convenience to ice cream, donuts, cookies, and all.

We enjoyed the house very much & all it had to offer. We had everything we needed & such a beautiful view & short walk to the beach. Fireworks were amazing!

The property was amazing! I was worried about being in the middle of everything, but it was perfect! Not too noisy, crowded, or anything negative. And we were right there at everything and could thoroughly enjoy the island. Heather was SUPER nice and helpful. Our bed had been broken by a previous guest and she had someone show up and build us a whole new frame, while we enjoyed the beach. Super responsive! I would definitely go back! And we saw dolphins!! Perfect!

This property had the best location in SGI! It was steps from the beach and walking distance to grocery, restaurants and shopping! The house was perfect for our group and had everything we needed. It needs a little TLC but you are willing to overlook it for the price and location. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends and family!

The Great - This house is located right on the beach and in that regard we loved the quick and easy walk to the beach as well as the almost constant breeze. The bedrooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with most of the appliances and amenities you'd expect. The home served its purpose and we all had a great week at the beach... Heather (Management) was phenomenal throughout our interaction with her, both before arrival, during our stay and afterwards. The Good - The house is in the heart of what Franklin County refers to as the Business District. We learned some lessons along the way that need to be stated... The public beach access, lighthouse, basketball courts, bars, ice cream shops, donut shop, fresh seafood trucks, gas stations & grocery stores are all within walking distance, which can be great! But it can also be noisy at times. In fact one bar, Harry A's can get very loud on Thursday & Friday nights during the summer months. In fact, according to Franklin County there is a Noise Ordinance (I asked), but the "Business District" is excluded from this and Harry A's is allowed to pump the music until they close at 2am. This is not something the homeowner or management can change. This is not a knock on them, it's simply a fact and something that needs to be known. If this is not your cup of tea, then go East or West into the Plantation. Additional Comments - To Chelsea (previous review) It is not mold on the vents! How do I know this? Because I checked. It was a small amount of dust coming out of the vents. Know your facts before you go off the reservation and start slinging untruths at management. Treat people as you want to be treated. Is this home immaculate? No, but neither is any Beachfront rental property.

Checking in it was not ready and we had to leave for a few hours until the cleaning crew was finished. Not the cleanest place (saw a few roaches) and it was poorly stocked with towels, bed linens, kitchen utensils, coffee pot was super slow, grill is not useable, the kids bike is rusted out so we had to rent one and you are only given 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom and 1 trash bag for the house so make sure you bring extras for the week! The location is PERFECT. Grocery store, souvenir shops, food, ice cream etc.. right across the street. We didn’t get in our vehicles to go anywhere except the short drive we took to Apalachicola for a day. The beach is right there and we were able to have a spot right in front of our boardwalk every single day . Overall it was an awesome trip and I would definitely visit again but maybe in a neighboring unit as this one was a bit under kept and unclean.

The condo was not well cleaned. There was mold on the cover of the hot tub and on the vents inside the house. We planned to use the bikes but the seats were not on well enough to ride. We reached out but never received a response. The door leading on the balcony was very difficult to open and the door track was nasty. Every room of the condo needs a deep clean including the furniture. Location is nice but being closest to the basketball court can get loud and we felt uncomfortable a few times.

We chose St George to avoid the big crowds we had to fight the previous year further up the coast. We loved our stay and this house! Extremely close to the beach. We had plenty of entertainment with the hot tub and games at the house for the rainy day or two we had. Walking distance from anywhere you want to visit. Property manager was very easy to get ahold of and communicated quickly and was very nice and professional. Would definitely book this house again! Only con at all was being right beside the public access and them camping right in front of our house, but it was only 1 or 2 families at most!

The location is great. The house is just steps from the water. There were six adults on this trip, so it was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.

The location of this property is excellent if you are interested in being in walking distance to restaurants, shops and grocery stores on St. George Island. The property was clean, but it was a little cluttered (in the kitchen), making some items a little hard to find.

We had a wonderful vacation of three generations totaling seven people and a dog. The accommodation was perfect for our pet and our people :-). Right on the beach, everything convenient, all the beach extras that made it more enjoyable!

Loved the location and view from the house. You could walk everywhere. Being right on the beach is amazing. It rained one day so the game room was a nice alternative to the beach. The last day I woke up early and watched the sunrise over the ocean AMAZING. The lighthouse was really neat. You should also go to the donut place delicious. The location of this property is great! Right on the beach and within walking distance to everything in town. The house was perfect sized and spacious for our family of 5. The kitchen is stocked well with pots, pans, glasses, utensils, coffee makers, etc. We had a wonderful time during our 6 night stay! In regard to cleanliness, I would say it was just clean enough. It was surface clean, but is due a more thorough cleaning...all the corners, cracks, fans, vents, showers, were all in need of more attention. The outside could use more attention as well. There is a broken old outdoor gate leaning up against the deck stairs, a bench with a broken leg next to the grill, the used charcoal can has a big hole rusted through the side and is filled with garbage. There is also a pile of old lumber next to the house and other lumber just laying around outside. Kind of takes a way from the beautiful views off the deck. Clumps of hair and other debris kept showing up in the hot tub, but this was resolved after the owner reached out to the hot tub guy to clean the filters...I would expect this to be done before each new guest. Hot tub was great after that!! We had planned to use the bikes, but the child sized bikes were so rusted they were not usable. The beach cruiser bikes were in good shape. Half of the beach chairs are rusted beyond use and should probably be thrown away. We found 4 that were in great shape and used them everyday! My kids loved using the boogie boards and skim board as well! The patio doors on the living room level need adjustment. These took significant effort to open and close. The hot water handle on the outside shower is broken and what is left is very sharp. A few more rugs (indoor/outdoor) would definitely help keep from tracking sand everywhere...this is a challenge at any beachside property. A thorough cleanup of the property and taking care of a couple small issues, and it would be easy to rate this place a 5!!

The house was amazing. It had everything you could ask for for a family getaway at the beach. The game room and hot tub were great, the kitchen was well stocked, and the location is incredible. There’s a playground 20 feet from the house, the light house is 100 feet away, and the beach is 100 feet the other way. Plus, the grocery store, seafood shop, restaurants, and Weber’s Doughnuts are just a few steps away. the house also has two awesome decks, and amazing views from the living room and master bedroom. The beach is beautiful, with soft white sand. The kids played for hours, and we found a few sharks teeth. As a bonus, the surf fishing right behind the house was good. We caught a few nice bluefish, a couple of whiting, and two sharks. Management responded very quickly and was very helpful. The whole experience was perfect! Book this house. You won’t be disappointed.

Wonderful location immediately adjacent to the St George Lighthouse. Close to everything, but still very, very quiet.
