Everything was as advertised. The owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

Great location and great people to deal with!!

We stayed 5 nights and enjoyed our stay at this cabin and the pictures are accurate. The boathouse and use of the lift was very handy and an important factor in our selecting this place. For the price, we were very pleased. The weather was great and fishing was good! It is a downstairs unit but no one is staying upstairs. So we had the place to ourselves. A couple of things to note, the two single beds are in the main living area. The sink is a laundry sink around the corner from the stove. We ate out once a day with only breakfast in the unit. It has some cooking items - like small frying pans but it doesn't have lots of kitchen appliances (like a toaster) if you plan on a lot of cooking. Treats/Snacks are left for your use - a very nice touch! The floor is painted cement with rugs on it. The walls are painted cement blocks. The chairs are well used but comfortable. We weren't expecting posh accommodations and enjoyed the place. It has fabulous views and good parking. The new dock is great. The owner was very easy to work with and we were happy. We enjoyed the new City Harbor just across the lake with boat parking.

This was such a nice cabin and just the right size for my family of four . We had the perfect view of the water and the location of the property was within just a few miles of all the local restaurants and attractions. The nicest part about this cabin is the owner goes the extra mile to ensure you have a nice stay and ensure you are comfortable with all the essentials you may need for your stay. I would definitely stay here again .

We checked in on a Friday and checked out on Sunday. House was clean and all we needed it to be. Boat dock was great for us. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful cabin and enjoyed every minute. Comfy beds, fully stocked kitchen and gorgeous views. Very accommodating and friendly host. We will definitely stay here again for a peaceful retreat ❤️

It's not fancy, but it is peaceful and quiet - and very convenient to Sand Mountain amphitheater. The two of us and our pup had a great weekend. Russ was very responsive before we booked and when we had a question once we were there. Looking forward to planning another weekend at the Dacha.

Wonderful property right on the lake. We enjoyed being away from it all and relaxing with family. Secluded, but still in easy reach of good grocery stores and restaurants. Perfect match for us.

Great getaway! Stayed there with family to celebrate a birthday/wedding and it was beautiful! Great fishing right off the doc and very close and convenient to the heart of guntersville! I’d highly recommend this place!

Great property for a guys fishing trip. Nothing fancy, just what the guys need. Kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with the necessities. The boathouse is an amazing amenity that allowed us to store our boat and our fishing gear safely. Russ was great to work with and very accommodating! We hope to return soon!

As you'll see from other reviews, I have stayed at this location multiple times. I return because I love it so much -- It's my happy place. On this trip, I saw several eagles, a fox and lots of beautiful other birds. Such a special place!

This authentic lake house brings me such peace and joy. Amazing views of the sunrise and sunset with wonderful wildlife (including eagles). The kitchen has everything you need to cook a full meal (very important to me). House is always warm and cozy. Winter on the lake is so special. I'm a repeat customer!

The location of this place is absolutely beautiful. The host provided detailed information about the history of the home, and locations for entertainment, food, and shopping. I loved that I could bring my German shepherd and Yorkie here. There was bottled water in the refrigerator (I thought that was nice). I was given updates on the weather conditions. I felt like the host was easily accessible. Plus, the positive reviews made me feel like this would be a great vacation spot. We stayed downstairs in the converted basement. The two twin beds are in the kitchen/ living room area. From the photos, you can see multiple windows in the kitchen/ living room. These windows don’t have curtains (something to keep in mind). Now, with that being said. One of the biggest drawbacks of my stay was the cleanest. This place had multiple areas of dead and living spiders, ants, and gnats. Cobwebs are all over the ceiling, fans, furniture, and light fixtures. There was dog hair in the master bed ( I didn’t check the two twin beds). The shower curtain was covered with mold. The bathroom sink wasn’t draining properly. Russ was notified and photos were sent as proof. A cleaning crew couldn’t come out because it was the day before Thanksgiving. There were replacement sheets under the bed (we ended up buying our own). He stated, “if the cabin is not satisfactory I can offer you a discount.” The fact that I had to complain and send photos of these issues implies that the condition of the cabin was not satisfactory. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The location is magnificent and the views are amazing. Well stocked with everything you need to get started on a great vacation. Russ is very easy to work with. You will NOT be disappointed.

Very clean and really the best-appointed property I have ever stayed at! Everything from Soap to Coffee is already stocked in this site! Really enjoyed to non-stop windows overviewing the harbor. Nice sized TV with access to just about every Movie channel! Plenty of linens, Washer & Dryer, paper plates and glass .... plenty of comfortable seating as well! Great dock with covered access for my Bass Boat and charging cord supplied. Location is great for fishing Brown's Creek and numerous Coves across the 431 Bridge. Across the Lake from the Guntersville State Park. Quiet and peaceful area. Lots of paved parking.

The yard and view was amazing! Nice swing, pomegranate tree, dock in the water! I was amazed! Cozy place inside. Very clean and comfy. We absolutely loved it and the owners were amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate us! Thank you for everything!

We rented this property for our sons spring break and it was perfect. The views were incredible and the convenience of the boat house and access to the lake were ideal. Our son caught his personal best a 6lb 9oz bass! I would highly recommend this property for a fishing trip or just a getaway. The owner was so resourceful and gave us so many recommendations for places to ship, eat and explore! We can’t wait to go back!

The drawback to giving a vacation spot a great review is that everyone will flock to it! So be it... this is a fabulous little spot for a family vacation -- long or short. I wish we had more time for our Thanksgiving visit to take in all this spot had to offer. The windows and view of the lake was a driving factor for our decision in the twin beds in the open living area and put the teen in the bedroom! A great idea! The property is fantastic ... house was very, very clean. We just loved it. Communication with the owner was terrific. Thank you, Russ, for a great offering!

Russ was very accommodating. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy. The yard, water and sunsets are beautiful.

Russ was so helpful even before we got there. We brought our boat down and was able to use the boathouse and dock right at the house. So peaceful and lake Guntersville is awesome!

The lake location was fantastic but the cabin was sub-par. Though we knew it was a small, simple cabin, we didn't expect terrible mustiness, a wet rug and mold in the shower. When we communicated concerns to the host, we got explanations rather than apology.
