This rental is even better than it looks online. Every space is big, fresh, clean, cozy, not cluttered. Attention to detail is given for cleanliness. Clear, prompt and accurate communication by host. Excellent location for touring North Shore. About 15 minutes to Gooseberry Falls State Park. Thirty minutes into Duluth, but an easy and scenic drive. Comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water. Caution if you have mobility issues in your group because the stairs up to the bedrooms are a little steep and curvy and the step into the jacuzzi size bathtubs could be a stretch for some individuals. We had no problem (60 somethings). No AC upstairs if you are staying in the summer, but fans are provided and kept us comfortable. Great kitchen, modern, well equipped. We didn’t use the coop, but it looks great. Outdoor furniture is high quality, comfy cushions, clean. Two Harbors is a fun little town: good selection and variety of places to eat in town, or within 10-15 minute drive. Nice big super market less than 5 minutes from rental. We enjoyed exploring the waterfront park at the historic Two Harbors lighthouse. We highly recommend this rental and challenge all guests to find the many hidden gnomes!

Stayed a couple nights while visiting the north shore. House was clean, and as stated. Comfy, had everything we needed. Nice touch was a fun kids room under the stairs with colored lights, kept the kids busy after a long day of site seeing. Would visit again.

My husband and I along with our 2 young adult daughters spent Memorial Day weekend at the Polished Pebble Cottage. As other reviews have mentioned, the photos are true to the physical attributes of the rental. All of the bedrooms are on the second level. There was a very, very sufficient number of towels provided in each of the bedrooms for individuals to use. There was also small sized shampoo, conditioner, body wash/soap, and lotion available in the bathrooms. The kitchen dishes, glasses, pots/pans, etc. were of high quality and met/exceeded our needs as we did "cook in" a couple times. We used the propane grill twice and again appreciated the quality of the grill and utensils provided in the basket by the back door. We took advantage of the jacuzzi tubs and there was sufficient hot water for a couple baths each day/night for individual family member's baths. It was still cool in the evenings at the end of May and we appreciated the "blankets" in the coop while using that area a couple of evenings. As far as local places, we enjoyed the coffee from White Pine Market and Cedar Coffee Company. In regards to communication, we received the check-in, Wi-Fi, check-out, etc. information ahead which was clear. Everything worked smoothly. Overall, we really enjoyed having a house to ourselves and while there are neighbors next door, they didn't appear to "be around" during our stay. Thanks for creating a welcoming home!

We had a wonderful girls weekend! The weather may not have cooperated, but we found the cottage to be very comfortable, clean, and gave us a beautiful place to hang out, talk and catch up with one another.

Everything was exactly as described. Very cute well appointed home. Bathrooms were enormous! Located very close to downtown Two Harbors. Easy drive up along the North Shore. Would stay again in a minute.

This was a very well maintained and clean property. It was as the owner suggested a good spot for exploring the North Shore! The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and cookware. We could have used paper towel, and another set of dish towels. The beds were comfortable and towels and bed linens were in good supply and very nice. The supplied toilet articles were rather luxurious. All the decorating touches made the home feel cozy. The main issue was that all four of us are in our 70's and the staircase was narrow and steep- pretty scary especially where it turns. Also the step into the tub-shower combo is very high, a good two feet. The need to step into the tub is mentioned, but the height it was still a surprise for us. If you are older or have mobility issues please take these issues into consideration. I think this would be a perfect place for younger couples and families!

We only stayed here to sleep as our trip there was to visit a family member on an acreage but this little house was perfect little setup and close to the main road going through Two Harbors which you can find plenty of shops and restaurants to try out. We never got around to use the fire pit or enclosed patio attached to the garage; neighbors kept to themselves and very quiet neighborhood.

This was our first trip north of Duluth. Two Harbors was a good place to go with kids. We could drive to several natural locations and eat in town. The house was very cute character and clean. Communication was excellent with host. Definitely would recommend :)

Everything at the cottage was wonderful! The place was very clean and so well decorated. We really enjoyed the outside area in the back yard. We were able to enjoy the outdoors at night without any bugs. Definitely would recommend this location to our friends in the future!

We were in town for a soccer tournament in Duluth. Awesome location to both Duluth and two harbors. We couldn't of been happier with the property. It had everything we needed and more. My children LOVED the fun room under the stairs. The hosts were wonderful to work with and there whenever you needed them. I would recommend this property and stay again in a heart beat. The cottage is so well kept and has beautiful furnishings. Thank you John and Kerry we will be back!

We had alot of fun exploring Two Harbors. The owners had a list of places to see/visit which was extremely useful! We loved the outdoor Coop! Everything was in walking distance & the people were very nice! Our son Loved sleeping under the stairs! Lol

This is located in the heart of Two Harbors, getting to Duluth or Gooseberry Falls is a short drive. My husband and I stayed for our 10-year Wedding Anniversary. It was perfectly romantic with a slice of charm. The local bar is within walking distance and the views are breathtaking. Lots of hiking and delicious food. Highly recommended and can't wait to go back.
