Great place to stay with very responsive host/manager! Everything was clean, well stocked with towels and pretty much everything you would need in the kitchen was available and well organized! Having the washer and dryer with detergent and dryer sheets was also so helpful! Any questions I had were responded to promptly! No complaints at all about this place and would recommend!

Thank you for our stay, and for accommodating my travel schedule. It meant a lot!!! We loved the orchids; it’s obvious that many years of tlc have gone into growing them. Spending lazy hours on the lanai was delightful. Much of the house has been updated: bathrooms, beds, kitchen, living room furniture, etc. This home has the potential to be a complete stunner if some of redundant and outdated clutter were removed and a few maintenance issues were attended to.

We enjoyed staying at this home. Great location and really enjoyed being on the canal! Loved all the wild life!

We had 5 adults sharing the house. The screen porch breeze way was exceptional. Kitchen is well stocked. The TP ran out. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable for 20’s who had just gotten engaged. I think the house is better for 4 but children would probably manage the sofa bed well. The hot tub worked well. We did not use the pool, preferring the Cabana Club. Very close to the Tesla Supercharger.

We enjoyed our stay. I was working from home this week and it was nice sitting on the porch overlooking the canal while getting some work done. The property management was very responsive to all of our needs and so was maintenance. I loved the way the house was decorated and the Kitchenaid appliances. The porch was awesome. The beds were comfortable. We had plenty of towels (with new ones dropped off the first day), cookware and even bicycles were provided for us to ride. The bottled water in the fridge was a nice touch. The hot tub was an absolute hit! We were in the hot tub almost every evening. There were a few things that needed to be fixed during our stay and overall the property needs to be updated, however it was still a nice stay. I think if they correct those small things it could be dynamite place if you love KCB. We rented a boat from Captain Pips and the house was easy to find on the canal. The dock is functional but honestly, it should just be replaced. The boat lift is basically a coral reef. One of the deck boards on the dock holding the cleat our boat was tied to completely pulled off of the dock during the night and the deck board was just hanging off of the side of the boat the next morning. Luckily nothing happened and maintenance was there quickly to fix it that day. Our boat was a 19' and the way the dock is situated we had to tie the back of it to the boat lift that juts out a couple of feet farther than the rest of the dock, and the front to a pylon bc we didn't trust the cleats on the dock. So I wouldn't recommend trying to tie up anything much bigger because you have to tie it at a weird angle. The maintenance man also fixed the dishwasher that wasn't attached to the cabinets. He replaced the shredded grill cover and we were told that the dry rotted hot tub cover that kept ripping would be replaced and was on order. The first shower is weird with only 1/2 of a long pane of glass as a curtain so you soak the bathroom when you shower. The second shower does have a full door so it's better suited for helping kiddos rinse off. The house is concrete block which helps keep it quiet inside even if there's an all night Latin rager going on next door and you have a 7 year old. The internet was great up until Friday early morning where it apparently wanted me to stop working. LOL But honestly, I was fine with that. :) Despite the minor issues it was a nice stay and everyone was so attentive and responsive!

This place was so relaxing from the time we stepped out of our car. You walk into a screened in porch that is like another living room with a breeze blowing through it, they had relaxing music playing as you walk in the door and throughout the house. This house had everything that you could possibly think of to be on vacation in the keys, bait freezer, kayaks, fish cleaning station, completely furnished kitchen and plenty of counter space. Michelle was awesome communicating with us. Thanks for a great family vacation we enjoyed it very much and will plan on staying here again!

House had All amenities and dock was great and enjoyed the pool. Wonderful experience.

I loved everything about the house, except that the BOATLIFT DOES NOT work. With that said, I would stay again.

Great location to get out in the ocean or gulf for great times on the water. The property has everything you need even including a bait freezer and hot tub.

We visited Key Colony in August. This was our 3rd time renting a house there . The location was perfect to have our boat , plenty of parking for the trailer. The house was very clean and well stocked . We really enjoyed the screened porch and being so close to Sunset Park . The check in was the best yet.

What a beautiful place to vacation. The KCB area is so nice. This home is simply beautiful and I felt right at home as soon as we pulled in. The patio is so welcoming and the back sandy area is a bonus

First time to Florida and we hit a homerun with Orchid House and the keys! Spent a very memorable week and loved the peace, hot tub,views and excellent location!! We will be back!!

Since our trip was a 2 you will enjoy your stay as a 4 since what was wrong during our stay was fixed with daily persistent effort on our part. The home is exactly as pictured and described. Our family travels and works from different places with internet being critical as we work until noon and enjoy the remainder of each day. The internet issues her caused our days to go until 9:00 p.m. This listing shows internet access as all listing we have stayed in the past five years have. The issue with this internet is it had a speed of .87 Mbps; our phone hot spot provided a speed of 24.2 Mbps. Through numerous texts to Michelle and six days in to our trip, the internet was upgraded to 300 Mbps that had been available for a year at the same monthly cost. We communicated with Michelle and she assured us we had high speed internet and never offered a solution until we sent her a screenshot of the .87 Mbps. During this time she kept saying she did not understand why we did not already have high speed and no one else complained. We then sent Michelle a former Vrbo review screenshot "The thing that needs attention is the Wi-Fi. Very very slow.” Michelle said she never saw this. Something productive like a phone or hot spot would have been helpful or since nothing helpful was done offer us some day or a refund would have been nice. Also the grill was not working and was replaced within a day with a new one. Therefore, a good rental but I suggest that you read all reviews as thing seem to happen here that should be taken care of proactively given the KCB premium price charged.

The place was great and even though there was a mishap while visiting the owners were there immediately to fix it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars both beds were not comfortable and difficult to get a good night's sleep.

Wonderful location, home is well equipped and clean. The thing that needs attention is the WiFi. Very very slow. Otherwise a sold 5 star.

The property was perfect for our purposes. We brought our boat and kept it right out back in the canal, the trailer fit easily in the carport. Property manager was easy to reach and friendly. KCB is a quiet residential area, which suited us fine :)

So often pictures don’t reflect the actual property, HOWEVER, in the case of Orchid House, they were perfect. Our most favorite thing was the porch. We spent most days and evenings in the comfy chairs reading, then having a romantic dinner at the generously sized dining area. The kitchen was well stocked with all you’d need to prepare meals. The house was clean and well stocked with linens. And then there was the hot tub! So nice to relax with a view of the canal. Michelle was so easy to work with! The wind was really blowing during our visit (which made the porch even more enjoyable). So much so that it blew out a couple of screens. We called Michelle and she sent the handy man over to repair them the same day. Love Key Colony Beach community, and this is absolutely the best property we’ve stayed in the Marathon area. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you Michelle for a grand vacation!

Always enjoy our trips to Marathon area and fell in love with Key Colony because of its great location and amenities several years back. The house was exactly as described with more start-up amenities than I have ever had on previous HomeAway/VRBO stays and we have been using them for over 15 years. So nice to walk into a place with full air conditioning running, fans swirling in every room, TVs playing nstrumental music throughout, and a large picture of ice water after a long drive. After unpacking, we noticed the internet wouldn’t connect but Michelle, the manager, was quick respond and ascertain that it was down all over and she stayed with it until all was back in service. The conveniences of the house were great and Michelle was very responsive to any question or need. The only negative would be the landscaping and the lanai screens are beginning to tear away from the framing slightly in several areas and we had a problem with both mosquitos and tiny biting flies on the lanai. It definitely didn’t run a glorious week, we just bought a can of bug spray and sprayed it every morning and late afternoons. The lanai with all the comfortable seating and constant breeze was just too wonderful not to enjoy full time!
