The apartment was as expected, in a very beautiful position form where you can appreciate the landscape and the stunning coastline beauty. Place was quiet (you are definitely away from the crowds) and, above all, full of scents of flowers around. When you step out of the car you get literally overwhelmed. Ischia is in many places like this, but the gardens around the apartment show it in full. A really wonderful experience of its own. The fruits of the gardens where free for us to pick: grapefruits, oranges and herbs. The room was very comfortable with a terrace over the sea (from the hill where the apartment is located). Unforgettable breakfasts in the terrace! Shower was good and all appliances where working fine. TV displays Italian terrestrial channels. Internet was reasonably fast. Not lightning fast, but more that enough for work purposes. You are on an island, you cannot expect miracles from connections. The place was not easy easy to find. This happens easily since you get smack bang from the "continent", where roads are more or less wide and rational. Ischia is in general not like this. Roads are winding and narrow. Even with a good navigator, you miss a turn and your back to square 1! So, it is a general problem. If you only like 18 lanes highways, do not come to Ischia or hire a driver! ;-) The really friendly owner has helped us in many many ways with advices to organise our stay and visits. It definitely made our stay much more pleasant, easier and also time effective. I am surely missing something. The bottom line is that we really enjoyed the place and will come back any time.

Oh, well, my very personal small crusade! ;-) I never find a microwave oven in such places. Very useful for breakfast to avoid the additional pan for the milk. Life is soooo hard! ;-)

Stanis, the manager, was super friendly and helpful, and gave us good information and advice about what to see and do on the island. We had a fantastic time there relaxing after the intensity of Napoli, and at a very reasonable price (even cheap for the standards of the island) - excellent value for money. The property has many cats that kept us entertained. Best: We could use the swimming pool of the hotel 50m away which was great, with fantastic views, and a very nice restaurant and bar. I can only recommend it! it was our second visit to Ischia, and our second time at Appartamenti Ischia la Sentinella. Would never choose any other place to stay on Ischia!

It's not a negative thing, but it is located quite uphill so you need either a car or (better) to take the local bus (line 4) from the Casamicciola port, which drops you conveniently 50m from the entrance.

The location is quiet and the scenery is very beautiful overlooking hills and the sea. The apartment had very nice outdoor space with sunloungers, table and chairs. The property has many cats that kept us entertained. The Owner is very kind and gave us good information and advice about what to see and do on the island. The towels were nice quality.

The pool was not available since it belongs to another property which had already closed for winter. Would have been great if there was some basics in the kitchen like salt, pepper or oil, now everything had to be bought even for a short stay. Overall the amenities were quite basic. You need a car since there are not many shops or restaurants nearby.

Everything you needed there, beautiful view nice outdoor space and lots of room for 5 people. The hotel pool which we had access to was gorgeous, such a peaceful beautiful area!

Be prepared for the steep hill walk up to the property if you don’t want to spend lots on taxis from the local town, so worth it for the view and serenity though! Would like if reception sold water as we struggled to find a local shop To buy it last minute!
