Good rooms let down by a lack of reception and a rather hostile check in procedure.

Very friendly, flexible and helpful staff. Although I arrived very late, outside the official office hours, the hotel responded immediately to my mail and made special arrangement so that I could get the key around midnight. Special thanks again to the friendly staff.

Nearly perfect place in a small town, with lovely staff, a nice restaurant on-site with quality food for a fair price and pleasant & attentive service, and centrally located near the main train station and a full-size supermarket. Rooms were spectacularly clean, beds comfy, bathroom recently reconstructed with good tile and excellent shower water pressure. Very quiet, pleasant environment, and with all necessary amenities for good lighting and comfort. I would stay here again anytime if I was in the area, and it's only a 20 min. drive / 40 min. train ride from Brno if you must travel there, but providing a much safer, cheaper, far more pleasant stay than Brno itself.

One terribly annoying issue: it was hard to pay for the room. For anything, in fact. I tried paying the evening before after dinner, but was told I'd have to pay for the room at breakfast in the upstairs breakfast area. I also could not pay for dinner - I'd have to pay for that, with the room, at breakfast. Fine. However, I returned from an event at 3 a.m. and decided to skip breakfast and simply pay for everything (including my skipped breakfast) when I checked out at 10 a.m., and settled in for some much needed sleep. I was awakened early by the breakfast staff, who came to my door very frustrated and said they were waiting for me to come and eat breakfast. I informed them (in my underwear) that I was skipping breakfast because I'd had a late night and needed to get back to sleep. Rather than leaving, the staff proceeded to then explain to me that if I wasn't going to have breakfast, then it created a problem because they'd have to move the bill back downstairs for me to pay, blah blah blah, and I should come for breakfast. I refused and shut the door, but by that point I couldn't get back to sleep. Not cool. My suggestion to other customers is to demand to pay when you check in, and skip breakfast if you don't plan to be woken up early.
