This property was perfect for our large family gathering. The home was very well appointed, and the host was very responsive. The sunsets were breathtaking every night!

Don't pause nor even think twice:) Part spa - part resort & definitely a little slice of Heaven. Our extended family had not gathered all together in years. This occasion was to celebrate my Mom's 98th birthday - yep, no typo here - lol. Every single thing about Sunset Point was glorious. Mother Nature reminded us that she was in control our first night there & Jason could not have responded quicker nor have been a better communicator! Funny thing, the sunset that particular night was like something one sees on a canvas in an art studio . . . oh.my.gosh! We kayaked early morning & late afternoon until dusk - then we went swimming well after dark. How fun it was to see the fellas target their lure for the underwater fishing lights! The Tritoon rental was a wonderful bonus & allowed us to explore all over Lake Murray! I recall the ping-pong tournaments barely trumped the billiard games - but there was a lot of trash-talking for both (wink wink). Thinking back, I'm not sure we even turned on a TV but maybe during our first night there to watch the weather??!! Decorated with impeccable taste, this home lacks nothing. And, the kitchen . . .just wow. They have thought of every single imaginable culinary tool known to the modern chef! Plan your menus in advance & buy your groceries on the way to check-in. You'll seriously never leave until it comes time that you have to & then you'll find yourself earnestly pondering how to barter for just one more "Mind Blowing Sunset'.

We stayed 5 families of 4 and it was a perfect size with plenty of room and space for all. The pictures don’t do the property justice it is an absolutely stunning piece of property with water views from all around you. Jason was extremely attentive throughout. The amenities they provide are great with plenty of beach towels, floats, kayaks and games for all the family to enjoy. We will definitely be renting this little slice of paradise again.

Where to start: I’ll start from good and get to great. We bought paper plates, cutlery and things we thought we would need. And guess what? It was all there. Our entire group said the pictures did not convey the amazing views and the beach. The beach was absolutely one of our highlights. Ping pong was a close second. I’m guessing 30 + games (games to 7 so no one waited) of ping pong per day or in the early am before going to bed. Super fun. Speaking of the beach. The Maui Mat - 20 foot off the shore - hosted us many hours. What a great place to just relax in the water and enjoy our company. Suggestion: Rent the boat. Do not haggle. Rent it. Super fun. And the boat comes to you. No work on our part. At the risk of swelling Jason’s ego, he was/is the most engaged host we have ever had. I never felt like a bother even when I had a silly question. Hint. The gas station for the board is to the left of the bridge - 5 minutes from shore. And Jason even arranged a ride to the airport with a local soon to be college student. Well I can’t say enough. This is sure to be a great stay. We did it for our 60th birthday with 15 friends and family. Kids had a ball and we were all homesick when we left.

We stayed for our company retreat for the weekend with about 20 people with a wide range of ages and this property was perfect. Literally all we had to do was show up. Everything else was already there. Games, boat, fire pit, beach chairs, floats, kayaks, paddle boards, fishing rods, tackle, pool table, ping pong table, coolers, lowcountry boil pot, propane and burner. You name it it’s there. Just bring food, snacks, ice, and drinks and you’ll never have to leave the property. Just sit back and relax.

Kitchen is very well stocked, plenty of towels and beach towels. Lots of room to spread out.

Stayed at this wonderful house with 8 women to celebrate a birthday. The home was more amazing than I expected and fully stocked with everyone one might need. The kitchen was a delight to cook in with so much space and beautiful garden views. There is a second refrigerator we kept drinks in and an ice maker. We were never bored because there were so many things to do! We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, cooked, read, and relaxed. Even though it was the weekend before the 4th of July the lake remained peaceful. The owner was so helpful and spent time answering all our questions to make sure our stay was great. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. It was almost like staying at a high-end resort! There

Sunset Point was perfect for our family vacation. The house was beautiful and was fully stocked with everything we needed. The owner, was very responsive to any questions we had. Our whole family enjoyed the many amenities - the sandy beach, kayaks, stand up paddleboard, corn hole, fire pit, ping pong, pool, and a water mat. The view of Lake Murray from the porch and beach was spectacular. We also enjoyed cruising and tubing on the tri toon boat which we rented from the owner. We would highly recommend Sunset Point.

Beautiful house and property. There were 17 of us including 8 children. The house was fully supplied with anything you needed. Beach area was a wonderful bonus. Tritoon rental added to the fun.

Enjoyed everything about the place. Plenty of room in the house with a huge yard. Everything you need at the lake. Nice beach. Caught many fish of all sizes. We love to stay again.

We were a group of 16 and had a fantastic time at this wonderful house on Lake Murray. The hosts have literally thought of everything you could possibly need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. It’s named Sunset Point for a reason, the sunsets were beautiful to watch from the lakeside firepit. If you have a large group for USC graduation I would highly recommend this house, it’s about 40 minutes from the Colonial Life Center and we rented a 15 passenger van to haul everyone to and back from the ceremony. The host (Jason) was super accommodating and lightning fast with communication. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Our family enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this beautiful home. The view of the lake was my favorite thing. You can see the lake from almost every room in the house. They provided everything we needed and more. Lovely, spacious and comfortable !!

This house had it all and was perfect. We were a group 14 (parent and girls). The house is surrounded by the lake and you can see it from almost everywhere! There was plenty of space in the kitchen, living room and bedrooms for the girls to hang out. This home is beautiful and I would love to see it in the summer/spring when you can take full advantage of the beautiful beach front. Would definitely want to rent this place again and the communication between the owner was top notch and very accommodating.

This was the perfect location to gather family and friends for my husband’s 65th birthday weekend! This spacious, beautiful home had everything we could have needed or wanted! The well appointed kitchen with more then enough cooking and serving ware plus spices and cooking supplies, a large ice making machine and second refrigerator is perfect for the large number the house accommodates. Comfortable beds with all the linens and towels needed and bathrooms stocked with everything from shampoo to face wipes. Kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, fishing and boating from the property’s personal beach was amazing! Plus a fire pit , corn hole, ping pong, pool and household games! There was never a lack of activities to enjoy and everyone took full advantage of all this amazing home and property had to offer. Jason was an attentive and reachable host making sure everything was just right for our stay. I can not say enough about how much we enjoyed our weekend and can not put into words the beauty of the sunset every night!!! We look forward to enjoying Sunset Point again soon!!!

This was a terrific spot for our law firm retreat. Jason and one of the owners, Whitt could not have been kinder. We hope to book again next year.

The house was great, spacious and was equipped with everything we needed to have a good time. Jason was a great host and was communicative leading up to and throughout our stay. We also rented a boat from Jason, which made our trip even better!

Unbelievable property with amazing views. All the amenities you would like for a great lake vacation!

It's been just a fantastic week for our family of 17, Grandparents, children, and grandchildren. In the last 20 years, this is clearly the most relaxing vacation arrangement yet, like having your own resort, with beach, water toys, and inside activities provided. We also rented the Pontoon boat (capacity 18) from the owner, (delivered at our private beach) complete with on-board bar, and grill, and pulled it on-shore at the beach overnight. The kitchen includes so many utensils, kitchen ware, wide selection of glasses, and everything you are likely to have at your home for food preparation. What a surprise it was for bathroom amenities to be better than some 1st class hotels, including and luxury provided for towels and generous beach towels. One refrigerator/freezer for the kitchen, and one for an assortment of drinks and frozen treats, plus a commercial ice maker. What else could you want? We would love to stay here again in 2024. The relationship with owner Jason was very responsive and bent over backwards gto be sure our stasy was exceptional.

My family rented the house because it was in close proximity to relatives that live in Chapin. We were in town for a family reunion and hosted relatives for dinner on multiple occasions. The owner was in constant communication prior to and throughout our stay. We were blown away with the house and property. The house was very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to host guests for dinner, drinks and entertainment. The wet bar and icemaker came in very handy. The adults enjoyed sitting on the beautiful porch with a view of the lake and sunset. The screened in ping pong area was a big hit. The private beach was absolutely magnificent, with seating and hammocks galore. The kids had a great time on the floating mat in the water. We were able to shore a boat on the beach. Lake Murray is a wonderful, large lake with very little boat traffic. The owner had everything that we could possibly need for our vacation - towels, beach towels, laundry items, some toiletries, extra coolers, water rafts, fishing stuff, etc. Jason even welcomed our dogs with custom dog treats. This was a great experience for a family of 12 and we are already talking about booking this home for another trip. Thank you for a great vacation!

Spectacular experience! The house was beautiful and had everything. Get off the plane and show up with only your luggage. The grocery store is only 10 min away. It had everything from q-tips and make up remover, to life jackets and an ice maker! The 2 fridges were great for so many people being there. Extra towels for everyone, beach furniture, plenty of coolers and the floating water pad (which was perfectly placed) made the beach exceptionally fun. Many hours were spent on the kayaks all day long. And in the evening we would watch the sun set over the water. We loved the St. Francis garden as well. Everyone relaxed in the beanbag chairs and played plenty of corn hole too. Nobody was crammed in the house or while sleeping either. One of the kids used an air mattress provided, just so they could be in the same room as all the other kids. We all felt very at home. The ping pong and pool table were also awesome because it gave everyone something to do when it rained or when they were done in the sun. The many high end extras and amenities made it like a resort. Thank you!!! The only thing I would change is to make our vacation longer next time. We will be coming back.

Sunset Point was voted the best vacation we’ve had in years. The views were incredible and the historic home was beautiful! The kids from 5-17 (and the adults) had a blast swimming, kayaking, tubing, and boating. Plenty for room for all 14 of us, and a puppy. The beds were great, the kitchen fully furnished, and we had everything we needed for grilling. Lots of attention to little things like floats and water toys, to cotton swabs and makeup wipes, added so much to the experience. There were even welcome treats for our puppy! Jason was very helpful during our stay. We highly recommend Sunset Point! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

This was one of the most amazing rental properties we have stayed in! Jason and his family have done an incredible job and the property was even more beautiful than the pictures. Every room was thoughtfully stocked above and beyond with anything a guest could need. Little things like q-tips, makeup wipes, coffee supplies…I could go on and on. The beach was a highlight for all of us as well. We loved the floating mat, fishing supplies and hammocks. We rented a boat for a few days and had an easy time pulling in and out to rotate kids. We were very lucky to have booked for July 4th with 50 yard line seats to the amazing fireworks show across the lake! Above all, Jason was so helpful and very easy to communicate with. Would recommend this to anyone!

We spent a last minute Father’s Day weekend here with another young family and our dog. They had a little welcome basket for the dog upon arrival which we all found very thoughtful, but that was just the beginning. The private beach and toys were 5x better than expected, each room was loaded with the biggest, softest beach and bath towels, the kitchen was STACKED, the rooms were large and comfortable, and I couldn’t believe the sunsets from this amazing property. The property owner was very communicative and easy to reach as well. We were all blown away. I can’t wait to go back

One of the most enjoyable vacations we’ve experienced! The grand lake Murray estate has the most INCREDIBLE views from everywhere. The sunsets are simply MAGICAL. Jason was a delight to work with. We had 11 kids and 9 adults and everyone had a BLAST! The home is very spacious and had everything we needed. We have rented on the coast for decades but this place won us over because of the clean, deep water and fishing was plentiful. We caught catfish, bass, bream, crappie. The beach was perfect for the younger kids. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ONE! The views will not disappoint! We can’t wait to return as the owner says they are updating and replacing some furnishings over the next few weeks.
