Beautiful modern property in a great location. Staff were very helpful as we arrived after the check in time but were still accommodated.

Had a lovely weekend stay here. The whole building is newly renovated and done up really nicely. Very close to the lake and very peaceful surroundings. Sabine was super friendly and even offered to pick us up after our train was canceled due to a landslide. Will definitely be returning.

The place is simply beautiful, excellently maintained, beautifully decorated. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been. Everything is in place. Very pleasant hostess. I highly recommend booking Picobello Lago , it's worth every penny

Perfect location, beautifully restored building with fully equipped, clean rooms. Parking right next to the building, only the access might be complicated due to narrow streets around (follow the hosts recommendation).

Great place, looks like brand new :) modern interior, room was really clean and spacious. Building is located few steps from lake, around 15min of walk from the train station. In the room there was small fridge which was really nice. Amazing host, really welcoming and helpfull!

Very clean, comfortable and tastefully designed apartment by Kaja and her husband (who is an architect). Great views of the mountains and Lake Como. Everything was perfect. It is located within a comfortable walking distance from the train station (with ample connections to Varenna and Milan), as well as the ferry pier (ferry services on weekends only in Oct 2022). Check-in was a breeze, with Kaja welcoming us personally and showing us around the apartment. Welcome drinks and snacks were provided, which was an excellent touch to the already perfect stay. She gave us useful tips and recommendations on the nearby dining options and supermarket. She even reminded us of the likely disruptions to the train schedules and showed us alternative means (scenic ferry!) to travel around Lake Como. She cares deeply for her guests. In Oct (the change of seasons), she fuss over our well-being and comfort level with the room temperature, offering us the option to switch from air-conditioning to radiator heater when it started to rain and the weather turned cold abruptly during one of the days. The place is newly renovated, very very clean and tastefully decorated, down to the finishing details of the cushions, lightings, kitchenware and toiletries. Tasty snacks were provided in the room, as well as the common lounge area. From the balcony, you can see the majestic views of the mountains and the mesmerising Lake Como on a clear day. The town, Mandello Del Lario, is quiet yet charming in it's own way. It is peaceful and offers a great recharge for the soul. Although it is off the tourist track, but it is convenient and just a short 12min train ride to Varenna, which has good ferry connections to the rest of Lake Como (Bellagio, Menaggio). Overall. this is the best stay I had during the trip and offered me and my wife a much needed respite from the hustle and bustle of life and our travels.

Interior localisation Friendly host

Everything was so nice, from people who work there, till view from the window or terrase we had near our room. Location is great. Close to lake and train station, everything is in walking distance in the town.

Very good location: close to the beach (3 minutes), the park and the old town, and at the same time the stations (boat, train, bus) are within a short walking distance. The shops too. The interior is modern, comfortable, well designed and clean, we felt very at home from the first minute. A wonderful garden where you can sit out, a nice view of the surrounding mountains. Very nice owner, great communication.

Wonderfully helpful and friendly host. Great central location, just a few moments walk to the town centre. A very comfortable stay. If you get chance to book a stay here... Just do it, you'll not be disappointed.

Such a chic, clean, and comfortable guest house.

Really clean and comfortable room, designed with good taste and eye for detail. The building is in good location (close to the beach and ferry, nice local bars nearby) and has a beautiful garden. The host ladies were super friendly and helpful, wish we could go back one day!

Would be nice if a proper breakfast was served in the future but it’s possible to have a coffee and cake in the common room instead. A bit of an industrial area around but we preferred it to crowded touristy areas.
