We loved everything about this house and our stay. The owners have taken the time to think about all the little things. Kitchen shears? Check! Labeled lights? Check! Extra pillows? Check! Amazing shower? Check! The only criticism we have is the Ring alarm on the back porch and master bedroom back porch. Don’t mind the need for security and Ring alarms and cameras (ie front entrance), but having video cameras observing you on living space (back porches) was ever present. I get it. But eh, could have done without them. Again, awesome location. Thank you to the owners for creating a great stay.

We absolutely loved our time at driftwood dreams! Molly was helpful and responsive. What a nice touch that the door code had been programmed to a number we would know and easily recall! The home is beautiful and clean and each space is so thoughtfully appointed! We loved cooking in the kitchen, we enjoyed spending time by both the indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable! We loved the peaceful vibe on Lummi island and found the local community to be so warm and welcoming! We would welcome the opportunity to return!

We knew we would have a great stay seeing the listing and pictures, but when we got to the home, it far exceeded the those expectations! This home is really loved and cared for and it can truly be felt. We definitely want to stay here again in the future!

Before we got there, we got a message that there was a problem with the lock system on the door. It wasn't repaired before we left, so it was a little nerve-racking knowing the house wasn't locked up with our belongings in there, but it was okay. Everything else was terrific. We were there as a family to celebrate my 50th birthday, and it was exactly what we needed. The view, the comfort of the beds, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all the pots and pans we needed. Make sure you go to the grocery store before you head to the house. They have a tiny store on the island. I definitely recommend this home.

The name of this property is accurate and the views and home are outstanding. Lummi is the perfect place to relax, read a book and watch the ferry- the Watcom Chief- make it’s many trips across the straight. The sunsets are spectacular, we saw ocean otters and enjoyed driving around the island to check out the sights and beaches. We hiked to the top of the island which was pleasant and had amazing views of Orcas- reviews are correct, first 1/4 mile was steep! The Lummi Island Heritage Trust has also recently opened some new areas to explore which were beautiful. We did stay on the island midweek so be warned there is not much open, other than the store. On Thursday night the beach store cafe opened and that was one of our favorite meals. Otherwise we would recommend the Lummi fish market which is on the reservation before you get on the ferry. We also loved the farm stand on centerview which had an amazing array of specialty items, cheeses, fresh produce and even some local fish. The house as mentioned is very clean and well appointed and communication with Molly was great. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, relaxing locale this is the place for you. We loved the signs to “drive islandly- mindfully, lovingly and slowly”… Overall, could not recommend this spot more.

Selfishly, I hesitate to leave this review because it might mean our new little paradise isn't available when we want it again - but it fully deserves the glowing review. We've been visiting Lummi Island for about 15 years and when our favorite rental cottage sold, we were heartbroken and scrambled to find a replacement. We had no idea we'd actually love Driftwood Dreams just as much, in fact, even more! It surpassed our expectations, everything was just perfect! Not only was every inch of the house immaculate and cute as anything, it was so cozy and homey and it was obvious much thought and attention to detail was given to every aspect - from a state-of-the art kitchen fully stocked with every cooking device and utensil you could ever need - to cozy propane fireplaces both inside and out, a fabulous deck with an incredible view of water and mountains with plenty of comfortable seating, a basket filled with super cozy blankets under which to cuddle at night while watching the blinking lights across the water, an upstairs balcony with an even more incredible view (if that's even possible!) and an attached magazine-worthy master bedroom, and a huge walk in shower with a window you can crank open to practically let the blossoming cherry trees right in... Every bit of this house was beautifully designed, and Molly couldn't have been more responsive and accommodating. For instance, when we found the propane on the grill was low, we let her know and she had another tank rushed right over to us. From putting a puzzle together on the big kitchen table to grilling kabobs on the outdoor grill and walking the beach collecting stones and strolling along the road in the peace and quiet of idyllic island life, we had the much-needed break we were seeking and found our new favorite Lummi spot. We will be back again and again. This is a true gem!

This is a great home on Lummi Island. Everything is 5 stars: The view (of course), the kitchen cook ware (even sharp knives!), the layout- no waisted space, the communication, cleanliness, the warm blankets for cool evenings, and the 2 decks with comfortable chairs/table. We love the relaxing vibe on Lummi. One enters “island time” the moment you line up for the ferry. If you are thinking of going to Lummi you will be happy if your goal is to kick back, read, play games, and hike just a little bit. Leave your bug spray at home, enjoy the cool NW and stay here! We most definitely found our new go to rental and hope to go back again and again!

A beautiful home very well designed. The view is sooo beautiful, so relaxing. We appreciated the cleanliness of the house inside & items especially kitchen stuff available to use. The master bed-we were not a fan of it, killed our backs but the other beds were great & plenty of pillows. The gravel driveway is steep with a tight turnaround. But all in all it was a wonderful stay we enjoyed it very much. Also great communication with the owner.

We did a girls weekend here (in the winter) with the intent of a little exploring and a lot of relaxing. This house was perfect for both. It was located close to the ferry dock, and the owner shared a variety of activities to do around the island. The house was very clean. Our favorite part was relaxing on the comfy couches by the fire place, while enjoying the gorgeous views of the water! We would definitely stay here again.

Driftwood dreams was a great house on Lummi island very close to the ferry terminal. The house was well appointed, great appliances and kitchen and a really nice deck and fireplaces/pits. Very clean and comfortable rooms with great views. Communication was a breeze and the check-in/out process a breeze.

Beautiful house and very well maintained. We stayed during the winter time and it was very windy and somewhat cold. Yet even with that, it was still a wonderful experience.

We loved staying at Driftwood Dreams. We wanted a place with a view and it delivered! The property was exactly as described and made for a perfect Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The kitchen was very well stocked and the home was very clean. The driveway is a very steep, gravel drive so we were very glad we had a 4WD vehicle. A neighbor's dog barked (for about an hour) early in the morning on our first morning, but overall it was a very quiet and relaxing long weekend for us. The public beach, library, and small store are an easy walk even for a child and a grandpa. We explored the walking paths at Otto Preserve and the views from Sunset Beach and participated in the Lummi Beach School Turkey Trot. We would definitely stay on this property again and would recommend it to friends.

This place made for the most wonderful restful island retreat. The easterly views of Mt Baker and surroundings were gorgeous, and watching the whitecaps on the ocean out the spectacular front windows made for good meditative reflection. The rooms were spotless and cozy, the kitchen had everything I needed for some fun cooking. The host is thoughtful, easy and clear in communications. I walked to the cafe one afternoon, and there were good local events on Lummi the weekend I was there, I look forward to going back!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean, nicely decorated, and had a spectacular view of the water. We would love to go back!

This was an amazing house! Great kitchen for cooking and a deck to enjoy the great food. Coffee maker selection didn't disappoint. Everything in the home made us fee comfortable and relaxed. The pictures were accurate and what you see is what you get. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy!

Great property.

We spent four days at this gorgeous gem of a home on a gorgeous gem of an island. Every morning, the rising sun woke us up and we'd get out to the back porch early to have tea and coffee and watch the two otter families play in the water directly in front of the house. It was magical. The home itself was lovely. The kitchen was great - easy to use and well equipped, the beds were comfy as was the patio furniture, where we spent most of our time. We'd go back in a heartbeat. I would be forewarned that if you want an activity packed getaway, Lummi is quiet and set up for quiet, which suited us. We went on great walks and hikes, then rallied to do a sunset kayak out of Bellingham (Moondance Sea Kayak was excellent). We also booked a whale watching tour that picked us up on Sunset beach which was also just great. Molly was a communicative host and made it easy to be there.

The house is beyond imagination, the view, the location and layout. The house is very well furnished and you will find all the appliances you would need for a family vacation. I highly recommend it

Only downside is no beach access from the house, even though it's right on the water. That said - beach access is easy to get to right down the street. The fire pit also didn't work while we were there and while Molly was quick to respond to this, we weren't able to have it fixed in time to enjoy it. All in all we had a really nice time and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Lummi! Highly recommend!

We were 3 couples and a kid, booked the property for 3 days. The property is equiped with anything and everything you would need for a wonderful stay! Extra towels, pillows, blankets and high quality kitchen applainces everything deserves a big thumbs up!! The view is amazing and the decor is dreamy!!! Will come back for sure!

Driftwood Dreams was a perfect escape from the bustle of everyday life. With a very well-stocked kitchen, beautiful deck spaces, and unbeatable views including many herons feeding on the shore, it was perfect. Even on a hot day, the house stayed cool and comfortable, and we enjoyed walking to the farm stand less than a mile up the road. The interior of the house has been updated beautifully and tastefully. Would love to have stayed longer!

Honestly, I don’t want to tell people how great this place is because I want to book it over and over again. But this secret gem will come out. The house is meticulously appointed. It’s absolutely stunning inside from the furnishings to the quality of the appliances in the kitchen. It’s the kind of house you dream of owning. The view could not be better. You have a stunning view of Mount Baker and the other islands. I felt so much peace here. If you’re worried about there not being enough to do, you’ve actually selected the right place. The island allows you to be really present with your family and slow down in ways you didn’t even know you needed. The locals are very kind and the beaches are so much fun. There are two restaurants on the island and I highly recommend visiting them both. I cannot wait to go back. You won’t find a better place. Owners are on top of everything.
