It was not expensive for Montreux and the hostess was very nice. She took the time to make sure we had everything we needed. The kitchen was well-equipped as was the bathroom.

The toilet was missing the cover for the flushing mechanism and the bathroom overall could use an upgrade. The walls were thin and the rooms were close together so you could hear everything that was going on with adjacent guests. The doors were quite loud. Our room was a double and it was very basic with no view, no TV, and weak internet. There was a family staying next door (they had the beautiful view we wished we had) and they took over the shared bathroom for an hour. After this experience I will no longer book a room without a bathroom. Parking was a problem. We had to find a space on the street and put money in the meter every 2 hours. Since we were staying for 3 days, that was unsustainable so we found a parking garage further away, but it was expensive (the host offered to give up her space in her private garage, which was very nice of her, but the timing was inconvenient, and it didn't feel right to ask that of her). You'll need to be somewhat fit to walk up the hill. It wasn't easy bringing suitcases up from the car.

Three of us stayed here for two nights in Sept 2023. The location is quite convenient and is less than 15 minutes walk from the station and the lakeside. However, it is up the hill so be prepared for a bit of a climb to get there. Having said that, since it is higher up you are rewarded with fantastic views of the lake and we enjoyed a glorious sunset one evening. The apartment also had a small balcony. Our hostess was really charming and she was very helpful and chatty, sharing some home-grown produce from her small garden at the rear. Another thing to know is that we had a room at the front which had its own bathroom but with a shared kitchen with the occupants of the next door apartment. Not a problem - but worth knowing. We were also fortunate enough to be in Montreux when the Freddie Mercury tribute band were playing a free concert in the town. Fantastic memories!

The location is just a short walk from main station and provides spectacular views over the lake. Everything is already available in the apartment. The host is super kind.

We stayed as a couple with two children (5y + small baby). We can attest that this place is extremely family friendly. It also offers a stunning view over the lake and to the mountains. It is truly breathtaking and for us it was the most beautiful view we ever had from a bedroom. We enjoyed a very spacious and pretty room (technically two connected rooms plus a bathroom and a nice balcony). The house also has a garden :) The location is great. It's meters from a very tasty Italian restaurant and close to everything in Montreux and the lake. The host Claudine is lovely. She's a truly beautiful soul who invests in her guests and the place and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and at home. She even arranged for parking on request. Overall our experience was exceptional ❤️ We really wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be coming back!

Stroller (and suitcase) needs to carried up as the house is on steps but for us it was a "one time" as we came with an extra mini stroller and it was super worth it for the view

Is a traditional house of Swiss. very unique on the hill. we had a wonderful view of the lake. we really enjoy the sunrise, sunset & all time of the day. is so so beautiful….. Thanks Claudine for hosting us. Claudine had a beautiful garden grown different herbs veggies & fruits trees. Feel so good to have this experience in this little warm & cosy place. Will look forward to come back again.

Claudine is a fantastic host. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The view is fantastic in a wonderful city. The hike up to the property made us feel like locals.

The stairs up to the property are tiring, but the views pay off. I would make sure to plan to travel light and it is a very enjoyable stay.

it is difficult to access. anyone with mobility issues or large luggage should reconsider. tax not included in fee - must pay city tax on top on arrival per person in cash.

I really like the view it feels like you wake up in a real dream.i stay 2days at the hotel en i will say its perfect for the short trips.you can use the kitchen and the bathroom and more just great.

The location was very near the train station. There is a great view of Lake Geneva. The bedroom was large.

The kitchen had 2 stools for the table which was insufficient. We ate meals in the bedroom using the coffee table. The bathroom and the tub are very narrow. There are steep stairs along a busy road without a sidewalk to gain access to the neighborhood, followed immediately by more steep stairs to get to the house, then a steep incline, more steps along side the house and then a few more inside.

Host did not mention that other guest with a big family was staying over. The walls are really thin and I could hear loud noises throughout the night. My door was also knocked multiple times in the middle of the night by the other guest. In the early morning loud music was played added with constant door banging. No apology from host or any effort to fix the bad experience. Had to leave a day early (without refund) because I couldn’t sleep or relax in my room.

Claudine is an exceptional hostess

Christine was very friendly and helpful. She gave me a room with a gorgeous view of Lac Leman. There was a coffee maker and juice provided in the kitchen area. It is very convenient to the train station.

The bathroom was shared among the three rooms available for rent. No one else was staying there at the time, so it was not a problem for me. The bathroom is very tiny and the cabinet above the sink protruded from the wall a fair amount, making it awkward to use the sink to wash my face. Access is very awkward. You have to go up two long flights of outdoor steps to reach it. Christine kindly came down when my taxi driver called her to find out how to access the place, and she carried my bags up the steps for me.

Nothing to like.

It is literally stands on the railway, so a lot of noise. We could not get in the building and waited for 20 minutes at the gate. I called the hotel no one answered. Fortunately another guest let us in after 20 mins of waiting. It says private or ensuite bathroom but you share the floor with 2 more guest room and the bathroom is shared. The owner or her friends literally did a barbeque 1 meter away of our window so a lot of smoke and smell in the room. No respect to the guests at all. So we could not open the window and no ac in the room. The owner did not even bother to talk or answer my messages or calls while check out as well. I needed to chase for someone to pay the city tax. In the end a friend of her came and I gave the money to her. She did not even bother to wake up at 9.30 am. Overall, it was a little cheaper but appereantly the owner does not even care about guests or managing the place. Just stay away from this place. It does not deserve any penny you pay for.
