Amazing hotel. Staff is great, friendly, and helpful. Everyone was on point and really made you feel like you were welcome and enjoying yourself. Room was comfortable and cozy. 2 pools and lots of space to relax. Great location to stay if you are attending a show at the Fillmore. I will definitely find a reason to come back to The National.

Hotel had a great vibe and staff provided excellent service. Bathrooms were tiny and closets huge. Should be the other way around. I was disappointed we were not told the hotel was undergoing renovations during are stay. There were longer than usual wait times for the elevator because one was not working and the working one was often occupied by hotel staff.

The staff is very friendly, hotel and rooms are immaculate and clean. The only thing that I would review low is the fitness room. I would have expected a lot more from their fitness room such as actual weights or more barbell, a flat bench, and perhaps another universal weight machine. None of this is there! Aside from this, great place we loved it!

The National Hotel is beautiful. The art deco decor with dashes of celebrities throughout is really done well. Natalya at the front desk was very helpful and thoughtful. The service there is great. Poolside, you can have a meal or sip cool drinks. They have bike rentals so you can take a spin alongside the beach. They have thought of everything. We were there for one night to celebrate our 16th Anniversary. Lovely place for a little staycation!

Hotel is beautiful, peaceful. Pool area is great. But the beds are very uncomfortable. The walls are very thin. We could hear our neighbors overnight. The location is great, very easy to access the beach and great restaurants close by.

My husband and I loved our one night staycation here and are already talking about coming back soon. All of the staff from the valet staff to the check in desk, to the pool area bartenders were amazing. The food and drinks at the pool were delicious. Loved the pool and surrounding lounge areas. The hotel is beautiful and so was our cabana room.

Loved the decor in the rooms and the lobby. 1 of 2 elevators was out of order for our stay. Hotel also never notified us of a private party that closed the pool area for a few hours until we arrived at our stay. I feel we should have been notified in advance that one of its amenities would be off limits to the guests.

Beautiful property. Amazing staff. Eric at the pool is so nice and tentative. He is first class for sure!!! Hotel is really adorable with the art deco look. The pool is amazing with the long lap pool. The room was a little musty so we bought a candle and that helped. Otherwise all was amazing.

Enjoyed the stay but hated that the pool closed at sundown. One of the reasons i reserved this was for the pool which i never got to enjoy due to work . So nice place if your don't want to swim, it's adult only but need a life guard on duty.

Overall good place to stay. They were shooting a tv episode, so we had to work around that. At times we were unable to use the outside reataurant area and one pool. At another time not able to use the beach chairs/umbrellas. When we were walking back from the beach to the pool, we were told we had to go around. Luckily I had appropriate coverup to walk around a city block to get back to the front entrance and then through the hotel to the pool. We seemed to be a nuisance, even though we were guests of the hotel.

Pool was beautiful and warm. Always had water and sunscreen available. I would say I wish someone said there was construction happening since one day we had dust around the pool while swimming. It was clean though and close to everything. Upgraded our rooms since I always book through Expedia so added bonus 💕

Pros:
Very good location on collins ave. Easy access to everything, shopping, restaurants, etc. Beautiful pool and back access to the beach. Great amenities on the beach although it can get pricey for food and drink service on the beach.
Cons:
1 elevator working only, waited on average 20 mins each day. Big pain. No extended/late checkout option for us even when they took an additional 2 hours to provide our room on the day we checked in. Bathrooms are small, if you miss your daily housekeeping window, they dont come back that day. No mention of the 45 dollar per day resort fee on booking through expedia so make sure you add thst on your budget.
Would i stay here again? Prob but they need to tidy up a couple of things first.

The hotel was dated. The bathroom is too small. The staff was exceptional. I felt out of place there. The beach access was wonderful. I didn't like having to pay for an umbrella but the gentleman was nice. Antonio was very nice and helpful.
