We stayed here for a trip for a planned surgery for a family member. So we weren't looking for the ultimate vacation spot, but were pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious the room was. Walking distance to UCLA and all of Westwood Village. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area.

My daughter and i enjoyed the room. it was clean and newly remodeled. they are in the middle of remodeling the entry, so the check in and out was a little weird, but not bad. looked like the construction should be done soon though. the only thing i did not care for was the parking. i know space in LA is tight, so no fault of the hotel, but parking is difficult, not impossible, but difficult. take a small car to this location : -)

Great location, comfortable bed, and roomy suite. The front desk staff had zero personality or interest in anything resembling conversation (or any information such as the breakfast room). Waited 5 minutes for anyone to show up in order to check out. The lobby is under some sort of construction.

We were greeted quickly by the front desk, staff. Checked in very quickly. Parking spots are very tight. Our room was on the second floor, and it was clearly newly remodeled and looked amazing. Everything was clean and great. The bed was comfortable.

This place was terrible. I’ll never stay there again. Construction going on, limited and unsafe parking for a single female, hair that was not mine in bathroom, cheap materials for their remodel, terrible breakfast. All white bread, no protein and nothing warm. No amenities. It was a complete dive. The front desk person was ok, nothing special but the only redeeming quality. Don’t give them your money, find somewhere else to stay!

Renovation work has being done, and from 8:00am, the sound of breaking walls and music was blaring, making it impossible to work in the room. I wish such information had been listed as one of hotel Information. Also, the water cutoff was announced the day before, but the actual water cutoff started 30 minutes before the announcement. From the above, we felt that there was some room for improvement in information sharing.

The building is old but fairly clean. There is rust on the walls from the pipes in the bathroom. The chairs in the room are funky but sufficient although the vinyl is peeling.
The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful at checkin.
Location is excellent to walk to UCLA medical center and restaurants and entertainment

What a gem in Westwood. Great location with free parking. We were able to be on foot for local restaurants and the university. We also loved exploring the Hammer museum (a block away). The hotel is a bit dated but our room was spacious and clean, with kitchen amenities. Not fancy but exceptional value for the neighborhood.

Great bunch of people from front desk to housekeeping. The building is a little tired but it all works. The rooms are a decent size and the beds comfortable as, thankfully, they have not bought into that, rock hard bed is a good bed, gibberish so many chain hotels have. Location is spot on and they don’t charge to park your car - that was a refreshing change. All round nice place to stay.

The location of the hotel is the best. The hotel is within a walking distance to UCLA. The hotel is outdated but the room is clean and spacious. The staff are very friendly.

Spacious room with comfortable bed, quiet, convenient to Wilshire Blvd and UCLA. Breakfast adequate, no seating so had to eat in our room or outside front door. Hotel updated but bathroom still small. Good price for area.

Its our second time staying here. It's a convenient drive to the VA hospital for us. Parking on the property is a plus and like the restaurants neary that wecan walk to. Both times the rooms at The Royal Palace have been clean, comfortable, love rge beds!

The hotel rooms were good size for the size of the bed but the restroom was extermely small. The WC fixture was installed right in front of the vanity, which made it difficult to stand in fromt of the sink and mirror. I dont know how such arrangement even got approved by buildings department.
Additionally, the parking spots were extremely tight with not much wiggle room. Its probe to dings and scratches on the car as it is difficult to get out without door touching the next parked car.

Sufficiently spacious and clean and in a very good location. Good service from staff who are welcoming and accommodating. The only drawback is the noise from fans and other equipment from the roofs of the restaurants across. I understand this is not something that the property can resolve. A better mattress on the sofa bed would have been good.

Nice safe area. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. My only complaint was my room was beside the elevator which was quite loud and was often wakened by it. Room was excellent and clearly newly remodeled. Will be back every time I visit my son. Just not by the elevator. Highly recommend
