Unfortunately the air conditioning was so loud with motor noise it was unusable!
The safe was inoperable and didn't shut.
the water was BARELY lukewarm and I was feeling quite ill and couldn't use it for 2 nights.
I couldn't get a Belikin (national beer)at dinner and the bar didn't have any soda water in the bar.
The breakfast was sad and the second morning they didn't have any EGGS at 8 30, only soggy waffles.
Couldn't make any local calls from the room and tried to with the front desk as directed and that failed also.
Lots of exterior noise with late night casino people in the neighborhood, and loud cars racing and fireworks to top it off.
Bailed and went to Golden Bay down the street and it was great

The pictures do not convey the poor condition of the hotel. The 3 star rating by Hotels.com is ridiculous. My room was as promised a king bed. The door to the room is so warped it would only open half way and you could see light through cracks that have developed from weather. No in room coffee. I skipped the morning shower as the water only luke warm. The location is not in a safe place to go take a walk off the grounds imo. Half the food on the restaurant wasn’t available. I was a little early for check in and sat in the bar waiting for service. Nothing for 20 minutes so I left for the lobby. The room hasn’t been updated for 50 years. Getting to the hotel by cab was kind of an adventure as well. I won’t be back to Belize City and I must reconsider whether I should trust Hotels.com!

Was nervous after reading some of the really bad reviews I saw, but was pleasantly surprised after check-in. Room had sea view, wifi worked, air conditioning a bit loud but working well, room was clean, had a proper desk to work on lap top, TV worked well and had movie channels in English, comfortable beds, everything worked in bathroom. They also offered a tour desk downstairs which I took advantage of. Breakfast was very average but included in room price so ok. Biggest negative was the pool - area ok and nice big pool, but they had huge speakers blasting music so loud that it was impossible to stay there. I like music loud but this was ridiculous and at a level that I could not stand and walked away.

In spite of many bad reviews, we needed a place to stay after vacationing on Caye Caulker before our flight home and this was the only hotel we could find near the ferry and airport. The reviews are accurate, this is a very old, run down hotel. The pool looked clean enough, but many times around the pool are broken to the point of being dangerous. There was a dead bird there near the entrance to the game room that looked like it had been there for at lease a few days and what was once either a kids pool or jacuzzi we completely overgrown and gross. But the room was clean enough and we felt safe and comfortable sleeping there. The restaurant looked deserted, so we went next door to the pizza place for dinner and that was nice, food was good, lots of local families there. The staff seemed to be doing their best. This is not a place for a vacation, but if you need a place to sleep in transition to somewhere else, it’ll do.

The hotel is dated but the rooms are satisfactory

The Ramada was perfect for our weekend getaway. Taxis were right out front rather to offer you transportation. Rooms were clean and well kept.

Hotel is tore down, noise coming from the rooftop AC units of the Casino. Room is large, restaurant options are limited. Breakfast ok

Our stay was overall ok. The hotel facility is a little run down and in need of a facelift. The most annoying feature of the stay was the hotels strict enforcement of the check-in time which was not until 3pm as well as having to vacate the room by 10am the next day. The hotel was virtually empty as we were here at the end of September (off season) and despite this the hotel showed not the slightest flexibility with the check-in and checkout times.

Hotel needs an urgent upgrade….. was not comfortable at all

The casino. The ability to change currency fairly easy. Always a cab waiting when you need one. Everything you need in the area is walkable. The views from the room over looking the sea was great.

The room was Clean, but it did not have no microwave or iron. Also they only provided one bottle of water of 16 oz for two people. The front desk girls were non-friendly. The employees from the restaurant were really friendly and provided a good and comfortable environment. Also THEY NEED TO UPDATED THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION ON HERE. I tried to communicate with them through phone and email, and they never get back to me and the phone num is not even working.

The complimentary breakfast does not have a variety of choices. It also doesn't accommodate people with food, allergies. The dining room also has a lot of flies and Maggot's flying around as you're ttying to dine, as well as flying on your food.... The food buffet is not freshly updated by the hour and a food taste, and the temperature feels as if it's been sitting in the warmers from the first serving at 7am..
The manager also gave my family, and I have really hard time as we were trying to dine, and I spent over $357.00...
Also, the staff as well as the manusal, made my stay feel very uncomfortable when trying to spend time with my family as we were craving the loss of our father and was there for our father's funeral....
When requesting towels, it took over two hours before receiving towels, and my room was never clean over the course of my six day stay ..
To be honest, the ramada princess hotel is a great establishment in location for citizens of belize as well as belizean ns traveling from the states to visit... Convenience of the location and being able to walk into the town comfortably. It's perfect. However, the upkeep of the building as well as the customer service needs to be at a greater standard in order to continue to grow the establishment... I am a business owner as well and from experience. You want to pour into your overall cleanliness and upkeep of your building to continue to drive customers there and make them feel comfortable for long stays and welcoming

On arrival there was no rooms and wanted us to change the type of room. Cost was beyond what I would be willing to pay and the desk manager was rude. The place is outdated, rundown and not maintained. From huge roac in the hallway, dirt, mildew. Would not recommend.

The staff was very friendly. There was no problem getting a taxi because they sit outside waiting for you. It would be nice if they had on a uniform/shirt to identify them because they randomly approached you. Another Great thing is that you could exchange your American money at the hotel. That was a great convenience. The beds were very comfortable. However, the room wasn’t as clean. The ceiling fans were full of dust. The AC wasn’t on when we arrived. The room was extremely hot. The mirrors had finger prints, dressers dusty, hair on the toilet. There was only one wash cloth and they were aware that it was two guest. The pool was not open because they were working in it. When we asked about it the desk clerk pointed in the pool’s direction but didn’t mention that it was closed.
The restaurant staff was very nice and accommodating. The tables were duty to where the flies became unbearable because they were eating the food particles from the table cloth. It would have been better in they had no table cloth on them so that they could just wipe the tables down after each use.
The casino was nice. They also had a movie theater that we didn’t realize was there. The times weren’t available and when we ask the young lady at the snack bar, she didn’t know the times. The hotel is in a good location if you want to take a stroll to the next bar or casino or restaurant. Near a play ground for kids and the water. It has small stores you came buy food and drinks.

This place reminded me of the time I got stuck at the bus stop in Limon, Costa Rica and had to spend the night in an hourly rate cabina designed for crackheads and hookers. The pool was magically broken, the shower fixtures were covered in mold and rust, a staff member broke into our room unnanounced. The only positive note about the Ramada is the young man serving in the restaurant, whose cheerful service almost made the food edible. Orbitz needs to require properties like this to update their listing photos, because this place is falsely advertising their property. The last night of our trip was ruined and Orbitz was beyond rude and unhelpful.

The people that worked there were great. Need to have a full-time excursion person. Breakfast was just ok, nothing was out and hardley anything looked great. Had to wait for eggs to get or not at all.
1.5 / 5.0
The hotel is dated. The main entrance smells terrible, maybe because of some smoking inside the casino next door....but i am not sure. In the bedroom, the 2 mattress were old and you literally sink into it. Choices at breakfast were limited. Boiled eggs were overcooked, there was no butter available...we got some when we asked but the service was not so kind. We also had to ask to bring some extra yogurt...

Overall, the hotel looks like a ran down motel. I walked into the room and immediately walked back out and checked out the hotel. The hotel needs some serious renovation. The restaurant had flies.

I normally like the Princess but for some reason my stay this time was not the best. Just could not get towels as I should have so it was a HUGE inconvenience whether it was morning or night. Either no face towels or no drying towels.

It was extremely dated and very basic. This hotel needs a serious makeover. We got in at 6pm (check in is at 3 or 4) but they still made us wait for over an hour or so to give us our room. Then took another hour to provide towels saying they were doing laundry.

The staff is friendly, especially Gloria in the dining area. We especially loved the free continental breakfast, which also included Belizean options such as fried jacks and beans. My only negative feedback is that the facilities are a bit undated.
