We have been her several times and are officially making it our hotel to stay in when we travel. It’s always clean and comfortable and staff is more than friendly and accommodating.

Overall our stay was great. My major complaint was that on Sunday morning, only one person was there to serve the tables, clean, take breakfast orders and check them out. This poor girl worked her butt off. You need to provide more help. So we did not have clean tables, no real flatware or cloth napkins etc. Management is at fault not the one employee left to do everything on her own.

There was hair in my shower, so I didn’t want to use it! Also the doors to the room and bathroom were dirty and grimy!!! Eek!!!

We had a great stay at the Hilton Garden Inn. Visiting our son at Tech, the HGI is close and convenient to the campus and downtown. The rooms are always clean and staff is always very very friendly and courteous.

The breakfast was very good and waitress very kind. We arrived very late and there was no one at the front desk. We had to wait for a while until someone showed up.

Room had a heavy cleaning solution smell that did not go away. Would suggest checking the room to figure out what it was. Was pretty bad smell but hotel was sold out so we didn't have an option to ask to change rooms.

Checked in at 1:10 am after a long drive and desk clerk was nice but had trouble with computer. She wrote down my address and credit card info (which made me uncomfortable) to “enter later”. In the end she double charged us for the room. We paid w/Expedia and she then charged us again. I called the desk when we noticed the charge on our credit card and it was removed by morning.

The hotel and property was very clean and neat. Employees were polite and courteous. I was a tad bit concerned because I am use to a free continental breakfast in the morning at stays in other Hilton Inn properties, water bottles were available in our room for an additional $2.00 and you if you wanted to use Wifi - you had to pay of it - if you were not a Hilton Member.

Overall, our stay was very good! We were only in town for two days for a wedding, but there was plenty of parking, very convenient location to downtown Blacksburg and the highway. Only comment was when we first got checked in, we were given a room all the way on one end of the first floor and it smelled like someone had smoked a cigarette in there and the bathroom wasn't fully cleaned. However, I immediately went to the front desk staff who was very apologetic and got us a new room without any issues. Very hospitable staff.

My wife found some empty soda bottles under the beds. Also the desk needed to be cleaned up a little more. Had some residue on it.

Friendly staff. Classy for the price. Lovely walking on the rap-around trail. . Comfortable bedding and bed. Spacious room. Quality breakfast with good coffee. Nicely-sized television.

The rooms were comfortable enough, but there were several issues with the service.
1. We asked for 2 adjoining rooms, but since we booked through a 3rd party they would not accommodate us. We did not have this problem at a different Hilton hotel the night before. I prefer a hotel that earns my loyalty rather than one that forces it by punishing the use of 3rd party sites.
2. One of the first rooms we were given smelled strongly of smoke even though it was supposed to be a non-smoking room. There was not enough TP left in either room and the conditioner in the shower was empty. This makes me wonder about the servicing of the rooms. Seems like this is basic stuff.
3. The comforter used on the beds looks nice but is not comfortable.

We really needed a nice place to stay after having a long day on the road and having to cancel an AirBnB that was horrible. We were greeted with a smile and given a wonderful room. Everyone on the property was so nice and helpful. We had a quiet and restful night.

If you are a light sleeper make sure you are on the top floor! We had a room on the 3rd floor and the room above us had a person who walked back and forth in their room from 3:30am to 5am! The poor/cheap construction let me hear every single footstep!
