The short stay was wonderful

The pictures of the rooms online told a different story than the actual reality. Upon entry, the lobby was so beautiful and inviting with all of the Christmas decor. However, the room itself was not exciting at all. The tapestry on the was not covering the walls as it seemed in the picture, it looked like some started and did not finish the job. The lighting in the room was poor. There were only 5 channels on the television, we were required to cast our cell phone to the tv. I had never had that experience before. From the view online and front lobby area, it gives the idea that you are staying in luxury. However, the room itself is very low budget.

We were able to get a smoke-free room. The TV remote controller was missing, so I called the front office, and they fastly sent someone to bring a remote and pair it with the TV. No microwave or fridge in the room.

There was some confusion about my reservation (through Hotels.com): when I arrived, the hotel thought I had reserved (and paid for) 5 rooms. Yet I only reserved the one room. They cancelled the other 4, and all was well, but it was concerning.
The only issue with having such tall towers (20+ floors) is that the elevator ride down can be very unpredictable.

Sahara is a nice hotel with all of the amenities, wonderful front desk folks, and room cleaning - super nice. The gambling was fun too. Like that it's right on the monorail, easy access to the entire strip. Real blackout curtains would be better than the odd shade of concert-goers, and some shabbiness with peeling wallpaper, etc. However, very clean, great water pressure/temperature, and everything we needed for a nice weekend.

Very Nice and crisp smelling casino. Refreshing! Also, nice selection of positive music on the casino floor. The Noddle Restaurant is the best tasting that I have experienced.

Overall, I liked staying here. Everything was clean and staff were helpful. I liked the location. It's not in the heart of the strip but monorail access was a huge plus for me and, since it was in a quieter area of the strip, getting in and out while driving was very easy, which I appreciated, especially with all the crazy construction currently going on at the strip. We didn't have a very good view, unless you like looking at the parking garage. Personally wasn't a fan of the sliding door that doesn't lock for the bathroom but everything else was great. I would definitely stay here again.

We got to the hotel and they changed our reservation from a non-smoking room to a smoking room, then told us they had no other rooms and they couldn’t do anything to help us. Manager got involved and “upgraded” us from a suite with a city view to a room that was “renovated” and had 124 square feet looking over a homeless camp and the parking garage. The electrical outlets in the room wouldn’t hold the plug in the socket, the TV in the room didn’t work so we had several calls to the front and they told us sorry but couldn’t help us, the thermostat in the room was broken and room was at least 83* all 6 days. The valet service was great but the entire experience with them was a nightmare. 1st and last time we ever stay with them.

The hotelnroom was nice and clean. The lighting in the bathroom vanity was horrible. Very dim and not good light to do makeup or my husband to shave. A few elevators didnt work in the hotel as well as the parking structure. We got stuck in the parking structure for aboutb15 minutes due to a malfunctioning gate arm to let us out. Parking is free so why are they even necessary? Hotel staff was unbothered about how longnwebwere all stuck. The food is pricy. 12$ for french fries. Smh. Not the best restaurants. The clientele was a lil sketchy. This was our first and last time there. Thats what we get for trying a different hotel.

Location was good (considering I needed to get to the convention center multiple days). About 15 minute walk. Chickie’s and Pete’s is the main reason I decided to stay here. Which it didn’t disappoint. The room was ok, TV only had 6 live channels. Multiple elevators were down so there was a line to use on my first night. I wouldn’t stay here again but I will be back to eat chickie’s and Pete.

Stayed here for 17 nights for second consecutive year. Rooms are comfortable, great gym in Alexandria tower and quiet rooftop pool area. I particularly like it as the location is perfect. It’s one end of the monorail, so easy to get anywhere on strip, especially MGM where I like playing poker. I can walk downtown in 40 mins, quicker than bus where I sometimes like to go for playing poker and also Sahara has a poker room if it’s own. All rooms have a fridge and safe which is great and I really like the Noodle Den restaurant. Will almost certainly go again.

We love staying at Sahara it’s always a great time. The rooms are clean and I always feel safe. The monorail stop makes moving around the strip so convenient. The rates are always reasonable and overall just a great hotel. Looking forward to our next stay.

We really enjoyed the Sahara. Reception was incredible, valets all incredible n super nice w quick service and fee- although we tip, quick elevators, like the big light up mirror in the room, uno mas excellent w excellent drinks, clean hotel, taxis available out the door. The only thing I would say is the mattress had a bit of a dip on one side but not unbearable. Not your fault was the super congested traffic Friday night. That might keep us away in the future. Had a show booked, left 1 hr early to go 2.2 miles. Took 45 min in a cab with a great driver, but still crazy and nail biting. LV needs to do something about the traffic and stop adding events n venues until it’s addressed.

Only complaint I have is the hours of operation for the pool/hot tub was too short. It would have been nice to use the hot tub after a long day at the convention, but it closes at 5PM. How about changing the hours to 7 or 8 PM???

Pros- Wanted to stay near the strip but not near the chaos and this was perfect. Hotel staff was friendly and parking garage was free.
The king bed room we booked was not available and we received an "upgrade" to a room with double beds plus credit to use at restaurants/bar. Had I known in advance we wouldn't be getting our preferred room I may have booked elsewhere and paid less.
