The location is a little outside of the Midtown craziness but close enough to get to pretty quickly, which makes it convenient and a little less chaotic than other parts of town. For what we paid, however, I thought the rooms would be a little nicer and more modern. It was cold outside but so incredibly hot and stuffy inside and nothing we did seemed to cool it off. It was good for what we needed it to be on this trip, though I'm not sure I would stay there again.

I stayed with my family for 5 nights and 6 days. The kitchen was sufficient for cooking and the living room was very spacious, enough for 4 people to stay. The staff were friendly and the surrounding area was close.

For NYC, our room was incredibly roomy for the 3 of us visiting NYC. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. The staff was helpful and attentive. Can’t recommend high enough

It wasn’t bad was not happy they said we got a patio and they don’t even offer them for any rooms there and they also had bugs

Had a wonderful stay in the 1 bedroom apartment. Very spacious room for 3 adults and 3 kids. Staff were top notch- friendly, very helpful when it came to storing our luggage and getting us cabs. My only con was the sleeper sofa’s mattress. I had trouble sleeping in it due to it and the pillow. But overall would recommend and stay there again!

The hotel is old and located in an extremely noisy area. We were on the 9th floor and at no time of the day was it quiet. The pictures are outdated and do not accurately represent the accommodations. Our bathroom sink was extremely slow to drain, and you could smell smoke through the vents. The carpet should be changed and that would make a world of difference. On the positive side, the staff were very nice and professional. The location is great, but I would not stay there again.

My son and I spent a long weekend in NYC and stayed at the Gardens Sonesta for 3 days. Everything was perfect. The junior suite was HUGE with its own kitchen, sofa bed, king bed, two closets, full bath, and even a fancy electric recliner that laid nearly flat. Location was on the upscale Upper East Side, very quiet, very clean and safe. Public transit was a breeze, with nearby metro and bus stops. Close proximity to Central Park was a nice perk, too. Would definitely return.

We were so happy with this hotel last year that we booked it again for our annual girls trip this year! The room was spacious and beautiful, with a lot of areas for friends to hang out and catch up. It was clean and had what we needed including utensils, plates, dish soap, and more. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags (and use a refrigerator) the day of check out so we didn't have them with us all day. It's a relatively quiet area and close enough to walk to Central Park, 5th Ave, and beyond. We were very happy with our stay.

The room was great for four people. The staff and service were thoughtful and kind. Totally recomend! The room as clean and the cleaning crew was always ready to help. The kitchen is equipped enough to cook quick meals.

I stayed for five days while getting treatment at a nearby hospital. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint was that on a lower floor facing the street it was quite noisy. Next time I will request a room on a higher floor.

But is not a world class hotel. Cleaning is deficient. Missing towels. The sofa bed is terrible to sleep (only for kids). No parking. You will pay U$45-50 per day of parking in an private parking.

Our room had an old bandaid on the floor, food wrappers behind the bed and couch. The washroom shower had mold, no washroom fan to help remove moisture. There was a bad odour to the room, most likely the carpet or mold.
Staff were very pleasant and helpful but we would not return nor recommend. If the hotel did a renovation, got rid of the carpeting, updated the washroom, put in fans, we would return and recommend as the area is great. Thank you.

Room size is very generous- good to have a sofa, fully equipped kitchen plus dining area. Makes for a more comfortable stay even if you don’t really cook. Its more like having your own apartment. Why would anyone opt for a smaller room at other properties and pay the same if not more ?!

The check-in person was so friendly and helpful. She made sure there was space in the front for us to unload and check-in. The room was also surprisingly big and very convenient with a full kitchen and living room area with plenty of space for our family. Having a full kitchen was extremely helpful since we were traveling with our baby and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable.

While there is a kitchen in the suite, there is not enough cooking material. You only get 2 pots and 1 pan, that's it. For a family of 5, that limits the type of meals we can cook. A pasta strainer, a cheese grater, a good kitchen knife, a larger cutting board, more ustensils, etc, would certainly help.

The room we had two beds with a foldout sofa, a table with seating, and a kitchen. It was a large room by any standard and particularly for New York. The property was very clean and close to the subway. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. One of the elevators was being serviced for a very brief portion of our stay and the staff insisted we take the elevator while they took the stairs. They helped to arrange travel to the airport as well as provided some very helpful tips on dining options. They were very pleasant and welcoming throughout our stay. I can’t say enough about how great the staff were. We travel a lot and the staff made you feel genuinely cared for and it really seemed that they love what they do. Highly recommend!

For the space and price I think we would stay here again. The other reviews were helpful and and accurate so we knew what to expect. It did feel like an older hotel but they do keep it clean and it smelled really good! Housekeeping was great we have not experienced daily housekeeping at this level. It was amazing to come home after a long day of sightseeing with 3 kiddos (13, 9 and 3, not to mention during a heatwave) to clean dishes, beds made, fresh towels and no trash!!! We were on the 7th floor had the same housekeeper for the whole stay she was fantastic!! The biggest downside for us was not being able to use our Roku on the TV in the main area.

Was a very nice room, nice clean kitchen, bathroom and living space. Service staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. It's was a very nice place to rest after a long active day in NYC. Very much enjoyed our stay.
