Beach access

What was unique about this place was the staff . They were heart warming , humble, and friendly. I felt welcome. Also, I loved the beautiful ocean view from the Drift Kitchen n Bar on the 8th floor as I enjoyed their delicious breakfast. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

The area was great. But the hotel was a little too expensive for what they offered. We enjoy the beach and the little town near by. Hotel not too much.

Very noisy A/C unit - kept us awake! Safe didn't work - expired battery? Good gathering spaces on property. Lovely beach views.

The jr king suite was amazing! Great view! Attached parking garage and easy access from garage to our room floor.

We stayed in the Tiki Tower. Rooms were excellent and the service. Staff was courteous and friendly. Wwill definetely return.

The privacy at the beach being in Sarasota. The coffee was terrible, the machine made the coffee more watery than it should have been. It said 8oz and made 12oz.

It was cool but i was hoping for the rooms to be a little better for those prices.

Clean, staff kindly, the view in my room had limited view in 10 floor and didn’t like me.

Definitely will come back here again. It’s a hidden gem.

the hotel is beautiful, the first room wasn't the room that we paid for, the second room was OK, ( we added $40 per day) the cleaning is poor, the floor room was dirty, room service very bad, the room cleaned at 6:00 pm the only towel that was hang is the big size, no face or hand towels. if we will be back its only because of the location

The service, the proximity and the beach were all wonderful! There were two pools but both a little small. The drinks at the tiki bar are expensive and the food mediocre but it didn’t stop us from going there every day. The water pressure in the rooms were soooo low.

My husband and I are locals. We choose to stay at this resort because we enjoy it. This was our second time this month staying here. This time was a little disappointing. Although we did get an upgraded room which was so nice we had problems with the staff at the drift restaurant upstairs. They open at 7am, we arrived at 7:45am and ordered 2 bloody Mary’s from a young host who said there was so bartender but she can make that or a mimosa. Then a male approached us and asked if we were ok, we said yes and asked for an espresso martini instead. He said yes. Came back and then refused us service because the server told him we were to “intoxicated”.. we had just woken up 45 min before this and wanted to enjoy an espresso and view before the beach. Without any real explanation or reason why to what we did we left. Once again unfortunate because we live here and we choose to come and stay because we love this hotel. The housekeeping manager made it right by offering us free breakfast but still unfortunate to lose regular guests over some young restaurant workers with an attitude. Other than that the king suite is beautiful with an ocean view.

Be aware of room 304, very outdated !! It felt like a highway motel ..

We loved our stay at Lido Beach Resort. I booked it mostly for the private beach and was not disappointed. It was beautiful and easy. The beach employees were amazing! Chairs come with the resort fee and it was $15 per day for an We stayed in Tiki tower. I thought the rooms were clean and nice. It was great to have a kitchenette with some dishes and silverware. The only downside was the elevator. It is really small and slow. We were on the 2nd floor so we didn’t have to use it much, but if you were higher it would be a pain. Overall, it was amazing and we will definately be back!

We stayed in the new section (too many “less than” reviews of the Tiki Towers), room was on the top floor and was beautiful. The pool area and Drift restaurant were great. Beach was gorgeous. Tiki Bar was good but expensive. Would definitely stay again!

Pool/gulf view is a must. Very nice, but pricey. Sliding glass door very, very hard to move. Shower water temp was way to hot, and could not be cooled with the regulating handle. We did not ask for a handicap accessible shower/bath, but got one. Did note care for the old tile floor, which looked dirty. The beach is really nice, with reasonable fees. Not overcrowded. The pool/gulf view overshadows most small issues.

Stayed in a recently renovated section of the hotel & there could have been more attention to overall cleaning of bathrooms & better upkeep overall. Lovely access to the beach so we likely return for the beach access alone.
