DO NOT STAY HERE !! how has this place remained open? As soon as I drove up I was so disappointed over grown weeds old run down They are not remodeling!! Room towels dingy DID NOT STAY I went down street and they did not refund my 100 dollars they held for incidental damages I never stayed there !!

Needs updating.

Beautiful grounds within walking distance of downtown Stowe and the bike trail. Rooms and common areas are well decorated and comfortable. Spa is still being renovated and restaurant attached did not appear to be open.

It states online that there are 2 restaurants on property. There are none. It state there’s a spa, there’s not. There are even signs in their elevator stating massage services with pricing, there is no massage offerings. There are weeds growing out of the roof shingles, the landscaping is nothing but weeds. The doors in room do not lock properly and the fireplace in room don’t work. The entire place is run down and looks deserted. Very disappointing the price was that high for the actual accommodation. Motel 6 are cleaner and have more amenities than Stoweflake did. The only truth to the photos is the outdoor pool.

This hotel has been neglected, unfortunately. Not only is it outdated, it needs repairs. We went out for breakfasts, since the options on the buffet were 3 different kind of cereals, boiled eggs, toast and coffee. The only positive thing about it, was the receptionist at our arrival.

The property just changed ownership and is under some must needed renovations and upgrades. Rooms were old and smelly. Pool was falling apart. Breakfast was limited

Flea bag motel. Just old. Ear wigs in the room and on the shower curtain. I get it it’s an old hotel. Looked like they were doing renovations to the hotel but at the time of my stay this is an accurate review of my experience.

Location. Close to everything.

In spite of the reviews I liked this hotel. True, you can see that there is some faded glory, but frankly if they changed the carpets in the halls, the shingles on the roof and some mild gardening that would do a lot. I heard that it was bought recently and they are looking to re-vamp. Good. It is a nice place, safe, clean, really nice room. A couple cosmetic changes and it would get a 5th star from me.

Property is not described properly on website. They are remodeling they say but the property looks neglected. Trees growing out of gutters and massive flower beds that would be beautiful if they were maintained properly. Carpet in hallways are wrinkled to make it a hazard to trip ( my husband and I almost tripped). Indoor pool hazy in appearance. Hot tub broken. Outdoor pool looked nice. No spa no restaurant and still had to pay fee to use pool, hot tub, spa etc. fee was $15 dollars!

Great location. Staff friendly but very understaffed. Pool dirty and chipped. Rooms large but dirty dust ruffles and no option for maid service until 3rd day. I have NEVER heard of such a thing! Room for four and not enough towels in room, we had to ask. Staff very kind but one had to go looking for any type of service. Ran out of toilet paper and soap as nothing refilled or stocked. Breakfast mediocre at best and still had to pay service fee on top of stay deapite pool being loaded with bugs and hair i could not go in. One staff member had to go between grill and "bar" on 90 degree day. We left after 30 min. Loved Stowe but would not stay at Stoweflake again.

Property appeared to need refurbishment. Furniture appeared old and worn. Television did not get major networks (ABC/CBS/NBC). Carpeting needs replacing. I noticed that a sign said that a new Spa is coming soon. The money should be used to refurbish the guestrooms and facilities rather than just the Spa.

We didn't like the noise near our room and were able move to a quieter(nicer) room. The property looks a bit run down, but nice enough and clean. Great restaurant nearby. The pool looked great but the hot tub was closed. Staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful.

The property needs some serious TLC. It’s a beautiful place. Nice location. Used jetted tub and when the jets were turned on all this black nasty slimy stuff was all over me! Took picture of tub. It was nasty. The towel used to dry off was stained with the slime. I reported it. Waiting to see what happens.

As a Lodge it was convenient Stoweflake is going trough an upgrade in their facilities The Spa was not fully operational however once their new facility os completed it will be one of it’s strongest asset

The resort did not notify us at check in about a resort fee. They told us after check out.

The initial room we were assigned not only was 84 degrees, the thermostat was hanging off the wall. The second room was considered an upgrade and was located in the west wing. The room had functioning a/c to a certain extent, would not go below 74. The corridor was very warm in this section of the “resort”. The first two nights of our three were okay to sleep, the last was uncomfortable. The bed itself is very comfortable. The property is undergoing renovations to parts of it, including the spa. Both pools were open and pleasant to swim in. The outdoor jacuzzi and sauna were closed. The restaurant and pool bar are both closed, so no food or drinks are available on site. The exterior could use major attention, lots of overgrowth (weeds) and potholes to manoeuvre. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. Overall, we did make the best of our stay. We love Stowe and will definitely be back. If there is an incredible deal to be had for the Stoweflake, we would consider staying again.

The views from the room were beautiful, rooms and everything inside them need to be updated badly though. Pool was great, gym also pretty good. Expedia says the bar/ restaurant in the hotel is open but it’s not.

The staff was very polite and personable. The room was spacious and clean.

The restaurants on the property were closed for renovations. The spa was closed for renovations. The pool opened on Sunday at noon and was full of sand and super cold. Our room was very big, that was the only good part. Very dated, but big. I did ask for a partial refund for everything being closed and the manager said no. I don't understand why when in the name it says SPA and there is no spa.

It is a very nice property but a little in need of updating in the common areas. In contrast, the room was very nice and I suspect the management has prioritized room maintenance and upkeep at the expense of common areas and the exterior. We noticed there are several renovation projects and we are hopeful the facility will improve with time. In the end, we were very satisfied with our stay.

We had to move 3 times, until the stuff has found a room that does not have leaking sink and with working AC.

The property is in run down condition Gardens are heavily overgrown ,parking lot pavement is broken and pot holed Interior is severely dated etc etc

Stoweflake may not look great while undergoing reno's and a facelift but the pools are open, there is a great continental breakfast, the gym is huge, our room was HUGE and had a fireplace and massive bathroom PLUS the AC worked perfectly!!! It's a bargain right now and just off the rec path so you can walk over to the Village, etc.

Maid never came to clean our room. We had to get new towels at the front desk.

Our room for 800 dollars was not worth this much. While it was immaculate, we had no access to a balcony and our view had limited garden view.

Hallways were worn & appeared and smelled like cigarette smoke

I loved it here! The property is fantastic and it’s in a great location!
