Please don’t stay here, it’s nasty and outdated…I don’t mind old hotels but this was a nasty place with no up keeps, room was disgusting and smelled bad and even hallways were nasty and carpet was ripped.. looks like this hotel owner doesn’t put any money back in hotel.

Communal area was very welcome particularly as we spent most of the day there (along with another group) due to inclement weather conditions. No problems having meals in there. Comfortable beds, but sliding bathroom door rather noisy and toilet directly opposite the head of the single bed. Wide choice of cooked and continental breakfast at good price. Staff/owners very friendly and welcoming.

Room was quiet and warm but old fittings. Taps in bathroom too close to the sink so couldn’t get hands properly underneath it and didn’t turn off completely so kept running. Shower tap was a dial type thing that kept turning by itself so water got scalding hot at times.

This accommodation had the most comfortable beds out of all our holiday stays. :) It is an older venue that could do with new carpet! But it was clean and had everything we needed including a big room to relax in. The location is handy to main roads and to the township. Very easy parking.

As wifi is so pervasive nowadays, some of us may not even look for wifi when choosing hotels. Do note that this hotel does not have wifi in the rooms, but only at the reception and one stairs lobby.
The shower head in 215 is leaking at the sides and thus low pressure in the main beam.

Property is well behind in maintenance of rooms and facilities.

Shower hose fitting too loose, so points down not out, toilet seats loose.
Other room shower, water flow temperature changing all time when in shower.
On plus side we did have room change given to us when faults of first room discussed.

Wifi didn't work. Hair dryer didn't work. Water in shower would run warm with bursts of cold while in use. Bed has a heating pad with the plug located right where you lay so it's a bit uncomfortable to sleep on.Staff was friendly. Location is quiet.

The property was very outdated and could use some upgrading. It was clearly in its prime time 30 years ago. Otherwise, the room was clean, the staff were helpful and the beds were comfortable. Wifi was super spotty.

This was the worst place we have stayed in during our three weeks holiday ( tail end as well). What’s on the web site is not what you get, we booked for two nights and wished we could have changed it. This place is so run down and so old. Cold water tap would not turn off and had trouble trying to wash your hands in the basin as tap spout was too close to the back of the sink. light over amenities and back of main bed didn’t work and we reported to manager and they couldn’t care less. Web site says has meals and drinks but it was all closed up and doesn’t seem to have been in operation for some time.

I enjoyed the stay at Fiordland Hotel. Very good value for money and I think it has been underrated. Good comfy beds and nice hot showers. Doesn’t bother me when the building seemed a bit dated. All the facilities in the room are still quite nice.
