Check did not go very smooth we were given a standard room even though we purchased a suite with a balcony and water view. We had to go back to the front desk to have our room changed just to be told they were completely sold out of the room I had purchased and they had no rooms available with balconies or views at this time even though we were one of the first people checking in right at 4pm

The location was comfortable....breakfast left me with something to be desired but other than that our stay was goog.

Although this hotel was clean and comfortable , I waited 49 minutes for the shuttle to pick me up at midnight at SFO. Then after called four times and no one at front desk answering I finally got the front desk only to be told that the shuttle only runs until 11:30 pm!!! How rude not to post on website. I would never have booked this hotel had I known that fact. I had to take an uber which cost me 40 dollars for a 10 minute ride. I would like to be reimbursed for my trouble I will be contacting Sonesta Corpirzte office.

It was quiet, and nice. We slept well on the cozy beds. The only thing I didn't like was the no microwave in rooms. They had a cheesy shared microwave that took forever to warm up food. Also, we had to ask twice for new towels.

It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Will definitely stay there again when we visit San Francisco.

Sonesta staff were professional and prompt, especially the airport-hotel shuttle drivers. Sonesta website promotes location as being '6 miles from San Francisco.' However, rush-hour traffic means the drive time is easily an hour+ and one side of the hotel faces the train/rail line (noisy). Website also advertised free breakfast, but this was not offered during my stay. Groceries and restaurants are available at nearby Grand Avenue and cities of San Bruno, etc., accessible via either freeway or surface streets. Area seems safe; room itself was clean besides 1-2 carpet stains. Wonderful fluffy and raised bed with very handy charging stations on both nightstands.

This could have been a great hotel stay. When we were checking in the man at the front desk let us know that this room was newly renovated, but unfortunately, room 210 smelled awful and it was because the carpet was filthy and needed a good shampooing and there was little to no air flow in the room. I think they are a pet friendly hotel, because our room stunk of dog. My husband and I were thinking, okay maybe we just need to air it out. But every time we came back to the room it seemed like the smell was stronger. In retrospect, we definitely should have requested a room change, but we really only used the room to sleep and get ready. Then, our assumptions turned out to be correct when we saw multiple large dogs coming in and out of the hotel. They really need to shampoo the carpets in the hotel or get rid of the carpet. I wish I had better things to stay about our stay…..it is a really quiet location.

Before and during the booking, the property was showing as having a indoor heated pool. Two days before the check-in when I still have free cancellation I called the front desk and asked about the pool and they confirmed it is there and in working condition. Yes, I called the front desk of the property directly. The reason i called is the hotel i was in before gave me a suprise that their pool is not in working condition. My kids were disappointed and so I wanted to make sure. But after I checked-in to the hotel, they said there is no pool at all!! and that it was removed during renovation!. I felt cheated. However the front desk staff were very friendly. They Cancelled the reservation and assured full refund (Yet to see the amount or a confirmation email) . Hopefully I will get the refund.

There were some roaches in our room and there was writing along the walls of the elevators. Other than that, it was okay. No continental breakfast though and no “restaurant” only breakfast and Starbucks served between 6:30 and 9:30 Monday through Friday.

Amazing place!

Nice hotel, spacious room, nice view. Disappointed because paid extra for water view hoping to get the balcony , asked the front desk person and they confirmed my room would have one. Got to the room and there was no balcony and barely a view.

When we checked out before 5 am and asked if we could get the payment receipt, the front desk staff said impatiently that there was nothing he could give as their system wouldn’t run until a couples hours later. When we tried to get a bit more clarity, he kept yelling at us repeating the same stuff as if it was our mistake simply asking him anything regarding the invoice or payment. Terrible attitude and absolutely no service mindset. Will never come back.

The hotel was nice, clean and convenient. The bed was stiff and the neighbors were loud. Great walking path right outside the hotel.

Property advertises food, bar, 24 hr shuttle and pool. Did not have any of those available. Bar and food closed Monday, 24 hr shuttle starts 5am, no pool after remodel.

On the website, it says it has swimming pool. We ended up buying swimsuits but when we get there, theres no pool at all!

Lovely staff, 5 minute walk to Starbucks and other dining options, room was a perfect size, bed was super comfy, train station - with trains into San Francisco and elsewhere is a lovely 15 minute walk, quiet area. Overall amazing experience at sonesta select!

The hotel is in a great location, close to everything. Room was nice and the bed comfortable. The staff were courteous and quick to respond to any issues or questions.

We stayed here due to another hotel being completely unsafe. This hotel is bright and a ton of common area to hang out in the lobby. Very nice customer service, helpful and kind. We wish we found this hotel sooner because it was definitely worth it!

The property is fairly new with a fridge in the room. I stood for one night and enjoyed the stay.

Service was not great at the front desk we told them twice that the a/c was not working & they finally moved us to another room a day before we checked out.

Nice and quiet

There was only an extremely limited breakfast service ($10 for regular coffee and croissant), no bar or dinner options. Limited selections in the "market". For a 7 night stay, my room was only serviced once. The employees were great, they just aren't given much to work with.

Decent place and great location for visiting the greater San Francisco area - convenient to go north into the city, over to the beach or south to San Jose or Santa Cruz. We stayed for a week and had to ask for TP and towels twice because house keeping never came to the room, even after we took down the do not disturb sign. Overall good for the price though and nice view from the room!

Loved it

Love this hotel. The employees are great, they are very polite and knowledgeable. Room was clean and comfortable. The washers and dryers worked great and don’t cost anything to use. Definitely will stay here again.
