Decent place to stay max for couple of days, over priced considering the amenities

Lovely property spread across stepped gardens, with a large pool. Other than attention to detail in house keeping (had to remind to get things, take away things etc that are meant to be default a few times) - everything else was good. Great breakfast spread. A la carte regular Indian was good. Malenadu regional food was strictly average. Did not try international or the bar

Great place, unmatched ambience. Very courteous staff, good food. The gym is a disappointment, hardly anything in equipment, very small area, no one to manage. Otherwise, everything more than expected. Will I go back, a definite yes

The service at the resort and the restaurant was amazing. any room service request made was catered to within 5 minutes.
The restaurant staff (especially Biplab Das) was super friendly and very accommodating. Any special food request made for my 4 yr old daughter was fulfilled in the best manner.
The interior of rooms is a bit outdated. But they have planned renovation of rooms which got delayed due to covid.
Overall a very relaxing experience. 5 stars for the hospitality.

Resort is old but maintained [ ok ok ] but no worth for money , cottages are ok compared to rooms. Food costly around 40% more than 3 star category. No activities like camp fire. About in-door games are usual with single carom board , one snake ladder board and one chess board

The service is good, but hotel is bit old and bath rooms are not up to 4-star level. Overall its ok stay. The price could have been lower than they charged.

A good hotel for access to Hampi. Good staff and restaurant in a well-managed facility. Rooms are spacious and the bathroom facilities acceptable. Grounds provide a good outlook, though the approach is somewhat unprepossessing. The managers have a progressive eco attitude and employ local people which is laudable but can make English language conversations difficult. Happy to recommend and to return. Better than Clark's Inn in Hampi.

Though it's a Taj property they don't seem to advertise it maybe as few of the facilities (like pool) remains unusable (way too many insects due to the location & tough to clean continuously I guess. Can look at indoor pool maybe). Room service was ok & food variety for veg was bit limited. Breakfast buffet was adequate for us though some might feel it is less compared to other 3 star hotels in bangalore (should remember this is the best around the area still).

Its a very small property andaverage Taj property, overpriced it does not provide any value of the money the property is very old need renovation badly. The property has nothing much to offer if you have small childern.The food is very expensive.Avoid this property and look for better destination

We stayed at Gateway Chikmagalore for 3 nights and it was quite a pleasing experience. The property, although small compared to other similar properties, is cozy and comforting. Staff here are exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Rooms are spacious and comfortable...however would recommend a makeover for their baths. The food is excellent and refreshing, and certainly suited for the cool climate of Chikmagalore. The service (restaurant and in-room dining) might get a little slow sometimes, but again, this is a place for you to relax and unwind, so no complaints.
The general infrastructure (Pool, game rooms etc) is well maintained and is ideally suited for couples and small families who would like to spend some quality time together.

Good overall. The cottage was nice and property maintained well. We were there on a new year eve and the party for the evening was not great. There was no DJ and just a local live band which wasnt very cool. The stay otherwise was good.
