Quality and cleanliness of the room was one of the worst I have seen. Poor lighting, ac unit was in living room and inadequate for the space and to cool the bedroom. Hair in the bathroom and bathtub. Felt dirty and no lighting in parking lot. According to the front desk, they have electrical issues and no other rooms with adequate lighting and AC were available. The room should not be rented out in this condition. Won’t ever go back.

The floor in our room was discussing. It turned our socks black. Asked to make sure they cleaned it since we were staying another day and they did not! The breakfast was good but they failed to replace items in a timely fashion. Don't know that we would stay again.

We got in late, after the office had closed. The key was left for us and when we got to the room, the curtain was open and the light was on. It was so welcoming after a long day on the road. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. This is an older motel but they have done a good job of keeping it up and current.

Terrible breakfast ran out of coffee! No syrup for waffles! Never go to this property! Disaster!

Meh, it was okay. Clean, but outdated. The staff was friendly and accommodating. You get what you pay for, so if you’re expecting something super fancy, this is not the place for you.

Accommodated a late check-in. Friendly, courteous staff. Clearly an older property that has been tastefully remodeled and updated. I had a simple, single (but suitable for a couple) accommodation that was clean, neat, and just what I needed for a business trip to Estes Park. The hand written thank you note from the housekeeping staff was a nice personal touch. Great independent lodging that sets itself apart from the ‘who cares anyway’ franchise hotels.

The air conditioner rattled all night long, keeping us awake. The pool was dirty. The hot tub didn’t work. They were out of regular coffee in the morning. Shower curtain was nasty looking, needed to be cleaned or thrown away. The panels on the door in the bathroom were dirty/dusty and I didn’t want to hang my towel on the hooks. It was just ok. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Room was small and it felt humid inside the room at all times. There was a very noisy fridge. We had to turn it off to be able to sleep.

First room had a broken sink faucet. Maintenance not available on Sunday to fix it. Second room had a shoebox sized air-conditioner from the Vietnam War era which did not adequately cool the room, and an outside door which did not close flush with the frame. Third room not clean with hair in the tub, shown to the housekeeper who removed it. Both double beds with stained sheets. No hair conditioner, just shampoo. Had to go buy a full sized bottle of hair conditioner. Housekeeping only the first day on Monday, but no housekeeping today, on Tuesday. Dated, run down motel room, with little to no repairs.

Highway construction going on during our stay, mostly at night, mildly inconvenient.

I liked the location of this property as well as the prairie dogs in the backyard. The house keepers are so friendly and helpful!! You park right in front of your room so no problems there. Despite these perks, I would not stay here again. We had problems locating the front desk worker. The safety lock on our door was coming off and the door to our room did not shut well. The rooms have very limited amenities. It also was not as easily walkable as we had hoped and there is limited food in close proximity. Overall, safe and clean inn but not what I would look for in the future.

The property is on the older side but is clean and comfortable. The carpet near our spa area was lifting and a sharp nail was sticking up so had to be careful around that space. The breakfast was basic but adequate. Nice outdoor feel with the trees lit up with lights. Close to town and food.

Breakfast wasn't near our expectation, powered eggs, no meat, orange juice was extremely watered down. Our experience was not as good as the ratings indicate... But it is close to town.

Just a one night stay but we were happy with the hotel. Easy-ish walk into the main part of town.

Would NOT recommend this hotel. We stayed in room 115 at the end of the complex. Our check-in was after 9pm, and thankfully my wife called ahead to make sure someone would be there. There would not. They left our room key in that late check-in box outside, which was fine. There were no external lights available at that location and we had to use cellphone flashlight to confirm our room. All the parking spaces by our room has been taken and had to park 10 rooms down from our room. The light switch inside the door did nothing, no way to get light until you got all the way into the room. Once inside, we found a kitchenette with no paper towels or any furnishings, a king-sized bed whose comfort level should be classified as a war crime and tiny square bed pillows that were terrible. All for a room that books out at 230/night and isn't worth half that. Oh, and their wifi is a joke, 1mb download speed. Are you serious?

I did not like the arrival. The attendant was not welcoming, he did not inform us about the hotel and for example about the music night. He wanted me to sign the check in form on his tablet without showing me first what i was signing. Also find some dirty around and under the drawers. Poor breakfast. On the other side nice view on the mountains.

Rooms were dated but large, comfortable in space. Good breakfast.

We liked nothing. We were scammed by this hotel and Expedia. Reservation was canceled with email confirmation. Blue Door hit us with a no show and neither will assist with a resolution. BBB complaints have been filed.

The Inn is on the older side of things. Knowing that going in, you will be fine. We didn’t have any problems and the room was clean enough. Front desk was friendly and really helpful. We arrived early and they gave us a room as soon as they could.

Clean room, easy checkin, convenient location with free parking.

Overall it was really good. But the room was hot and never cooled down! The AC was running all night but was also on the total opposite side of the room from where you sleep so you can’t feel it on that side. Should move it to the other side or get a fan in the room too.

We had a good experience here, we paid extra for a balcony room and honestly wouldn’t next time. We sat out front on the chairs in the front with our family and still had a good view of the mountains.

Bathroom window didn’t lock which is a security risk as it was on the first floor.

My husband and I never got to stay at the Blue Door Inn. The Alexander Fire was 0% contained the day my husband and I were to check in and we called to cancel our 3 night reservation. The authorities had already canceled the event we were attending. I was restricted from talking to a manager and because policy states a 2 day cancelation policy I was denied a refund…even under these extreme circumstances.
