We stayed for 1 night to break up our long drive home. Reception staff were polite and welcoming. Wore masks once inside hotel. Room was basic but clean , it had a comfy double bed and pillows were good. Room had a wardrobe with hangers and facilities for tea and coffee making. There was also a fridge / mini bar with a few cold drinks and snacks available.Bathroom was small but adequate it had a hairdryer, bath and over bath shower. It had french doors and juliette balcony that over looked the river. Room also had air conditioning. We were walking distance of the town that had a nice atmosphere and plenty of bars and restaurants. Felt very comfortable here in the midst of coronavirus high majority of people wore masks

The hotel was closed and I had to wait for 30 minutes in front of the door for someone to arrive, although I had arrived 1 hour before reception closing.The next morning I had to wait for another 30 minutes in order to get breakfast because nobody was there.Both would not be acceptable in a private hotel but in a Best Western this is completely not understandable. Unprofessional even if this stay was outside season - rather keep your hotel closed then.

Fantastic customer service getting our bags into our room with an early check in.

Clean room and comfortable bed. Good reception. The only problem was the parking situation where you were only permitted 1 1/2 hour’s parking time outside on the street up until 6:30 pm. Found parking among free spaces in th middle of the street of two way fast traffic!! A little hazardous but all went well

A good hotel, we had a room with a view over the Loire, which was lovely. The hotel is within easy walk of the town centre. We were glad we had reserved a parking space in the hotel garage, as parking can be difficult outside of the hotel. Would stay here again.

Pleasant welcoming staff in an ideally located hotel. The hotel is clean and well appointed and although the room I had was rather small, it contained everything I needed except a working kettle. he breakfast is rather pedestrian but was fine for us. The location is ideal as it is within walking distance of the town over a bridge with spectacular views. Very good at the price

Nice room, beautiful view to the river, friendly staff and wonderful breakfast

The hotel is, in general, handsome, and quite well managed and maintained. Parking proved to be easy, as it is away from the center and on a wide street in a slightly seedy area. The welcome by the lovely manager was professional and cordial. Nonetheless, I was quite displeased to learn that I had received an inferior, smaller room next to the elevator in exchange for the apparently deeply discounted rate I had obtained on Expedia. When I asked the manager if another room were available, she readily showed me another that was indeed better, but also obviously smaller and less desirable than most, as its windows faced the little smoking patio next to rear exit. I took it, and my stay was just fine. Although my room was quite stuffy on arrival, I was able to open the windows for fresh air, as, fortunately, no one was smoking out there. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. For the two-star rste I paid, I got a two-star room in an otherwise 3-3.5 star hotel. The management woukd say I got what I paid for. I would say I was the victim of deceptive trade practices, induced to reserve the room by the appearance that I was getting a three-star room for a two-star price. I am a highly experienced traveler who almost never pays anything more than a bargain rate. This time, I was fooled.

Located about 10min walk from the old town. Modern. My criticism would be the terrible pillows. An awful night's sleep had trying to screw up, fold up & make the pillows in to anything useful, which was sadly impossible.

Hotel Adagio is a very pleasant hotel in the village of Saumur. A 5 minute walk across the bridge and you are in the plaza.

Good location in the beautiful Loire region and enjoyed travelling alongside the river from Blois to this hotel. Helpful staff although the only concern was that I had stated in my booking that secure parking would be required but when we arrived the receptionist had to check for availability.

Having read reviews e.g. Tripadvisor, we had some concerns. However, the hotel was very good. Our room was on the 1st floor and was a good size and well maintained. The hotel is well situated on an island and is a short walk across the bridge to local bars and shops. We would stay there again.

It would be difficult to fault the Adagio. The room was small but extremely comfortable - best beds and bedding we have come across for a while. The staff were very pleasant, helpful and spoke English very well. The only minor glitch was the fact that our bathroom floor was not cleaned properly during the 3 days we were there.
