Beautiful resort with many beach views from the resort itself. Poipu beach borders the resort. Convenient bar&grill outside. Large pool. Great surfing break right at the resort. Only downside is paying to park

Jess at the front desk was outstanding!

They gave me the worst room in the entire property. It was the absolute furthest room possible in the corner. I wish it was possible to see what building i was going to be put in when i made the reservation. I would have never have stayed here.

We really enjoyed the location being so close to Poipu beach. Amenities were good and staff were great!

This place is incredible! We only stayed one night, our last night on the island. We really appreciated the hospitality for people like us who needed to check out in the morning but have access to the resort until the evening when it was time to leave.
Highly recommend!

My partner and I spent 2 weeks traveling around Hawaii. We decided to splurge and stay here for our last 2 nights thinking we'd save the best accommodation for last. It couldn't have been more opposite. We were surprisingly charged for parking. I'm a Marriott rewards member and I didn't think I would have to pay but the guy at the front desk didn't seem to care. Then we check into our room and it was the most depressing thing ever. Stains on the carpets, outlets that didnt work, and a view of the parking lot. Seriously?! I've always been a fan of Marriott's but not anymore after this stay.
I thought we'd end Hawaii with a bang here and I left feeling pretty deflated. I'm guessing they treat those that book through hotels.com like second class citizens. I wasn't expecting an ocean front suite but the room we stayed in was far different from the photos on the wedsite. Check in is at 10am too. We called the night before and asked if we could have an 11am check out to align better with our flight and they said no. Awesome!
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. You're likely to have better customer service and a better view anywhere else!

I would have liked my room to have been cleaned! I was out all day, but when I returned from a long day, I found my room with the bed unmade and no fresh towels. It was a little disappointing, especially for the price!! Also, the times and selection of food on the property were limited!

Excellent stay. Went with a family of 6 and had an amazing time. The rooms in building 7 were clean, comfortable, and in perfect location to the pool and beach. You cannot ask for anything else from a hotel/ location. Hotel staff was attentive and were always helpful.

This hotel for my daughters wedding at her request. In total more than 30 guests were at this property related to our event. Called the concierge 45 days prior to arrival. Arranged activities. Verified total charges. Again verified 7 days prior to check/in. Upon arrival safetravelshawaii.gov had a "glitch" in their system. My health status could not be verified until 4pm the following day -meaning I was UNABLE TO LEAVE MY ROOM! even with vac card / booster/ CLEAR green clearance. I had paid the entire reservation but the staff continued to post charges $899 per day charges on the incidentals' card and denied that they were holding $5,117.00 for a 5 day stay. Even after I showed them proof. I did not get to enjoy daily activities as each day morning and night I was harassed about my card "not clearing" an additional $3,700.00 which included three $899 per day charges plus $76.00 per day parking fees (we had no car), additional tax and room fees (already reserved on the card for the reservation). Even the day of the wedding at 10 pm at night and again at 7am "Ms. Jensen, I understand you are having trouble understanding the room charges we need you to provide another form of payment for the room." Our room keys would deactivate daily. My 76 year old mother in law was embarrassed and concerned that we were "struggling to pay for the room". That is not the worst part. No room cleaning, No room service, one restaurant at the pool - a bar. I'm just over it. no transportation ;(

Beautiful beach. Best in poipu. The front desk could be a bit warmer. They were all business and not friendly at all. The lack of housekeeping was fine. They sent supplies anytime we needed. Chairs by beach should be cleaned everyday as we saw wildlife there one morning.

The Marriott Waiohai is a lovely beach club with nice pools, gym, game room, etc. The room description is a bit tricky, so be careful to read very carefully what type of room you are getting. Our listing said some things were included, but then when we were confirmed, it was a different room without amenities of a villa. This was understandable, but not clear as the general "room amenities" listed on Marriott and Expedia are those of a villa. Staff was mostly very friendly. The one exception was over coffee. They don't offer coffee in the lobby unless you buy a $40 souvenir mug. We have plenty of such mugs at home, so tried to fill our own cups in lobby and were scolded by the staff member. "It's the same coffee that we supply in your room." Then why not let us fill up downstairs? Particularly since we have no cleaning services available during our stay. On that, I understand COVID limits services, but we were out of our room most days. With a week long stay, it really needed a tidying up. I had to repeatedly text for our single towel replacement, but staff was overall super helpful. A daily call noting when you are closing on-site restaurants would be helpful, as I don't think most guests expect a hotel to have ZERO dining options after 6pm. Since I got an automated time share pitch every day, I imagine a similar recorded "operating hours" recording could be done and pushed to guests. We were overall ok with our stay, but not enough to book this same hotel again.

The complex is nice, but did feel overcrowded at the pool, on the beach, on the grounds. Condos are large which was very nice and the views good, but the resort does not feel that comfy, hallways felt like hospital hallways rather than a resort. Few (one) dining option that is a bar near the pool, so this could be improved, and the store was small w/o many options for the full kitchen in each room. Service was good, and the covid procedures were excellent, it always seemed very clean. The beach is spectacular in front of the resort, which made it the perfect location, and worth the other minor shortfalls.
