Great location with easy access to the thermal springs, trails, and restaurants. Room was comfortable and clean. No lift/elevator so lugging the heavy suitcase up the stairs was a bit of a chore.

Lovely room, bed was so comfy. Staff so friendly and hopfully. Short stroll to shops, cafes and pools. Weather wasn't to best,but still had a great time. Was nice to wake up to snow over night. Would definitely go back.

It was a lovely stay however I feel it should be more wheel chair accessible or have some sort of alternative for the stairs.

Took me 20 minutes to find the studio apartment after poor directions were given at the front desk

Enjoyed a comfortable stay with close proximity to hot pools and cafes. Enjoyed the happy hour for drinks and free continental breakfasts too.

Staff were really helpful assisting my husband with disability issues. In that respect we were disappointed however that there was no lift to carry heavy luggage. The garden setting is lovely and quiet, set well off the street.

Hotel is dated but you really couldn’t fault how clean the room was and the service we received from the staff. Location is amazing just parked the car up and walked everywhere with our 3 year old. Would definitely book again. Price was reasonable also.

Very clean comfortable hotel. Close to shops and pools and eating places besides the hotel. We only stayed one night but think we’d like to stay longer next time. I would ask for a ground floor room next time as I have issues with stairs but forgot to tell them on booking nevertheless a great stay with comfortable beds and great facilities. Reqlly enjoyed the location, easy parking. Rooms were clean and spacious. The restaurant on site, Isobels, was fantastic. Would happily stay here again

Love staying here but the hotel is sadly getting a bit tired now. The staff were very friendly, helpful and kind.

Badly needs work, is not a four star hotel,needs refurbishing badly, hard to find reception.things in bathroom didn't work, nothing in the mini bar, not even bottled water, nit even sure the fridge worked. Lighting was shocking. Just awful. Definitely will not be back.

Lovely old style building - comfortable rooms and a fantastic restaurant. Wonderful to sit in front of the massive fireplace for wines and nibbles. Staff were excellent and attentive.

The hotel was lovely and cosy. So nice having a log fire in the communal area to sit by. The bed was comfortable and the room warm. Very centrally situated so easy to get around.

No heating in the room. Two heaters in the room and neither worked. Heated towel rack didn’t work. Took a few minutes if running the hot water before any warm water came through. There were cups, sugar and a kettle in the room but no tea bags or coffee. Walking through the hotel from our room to the breakfast area the hotel was freezing. The Hanmer Springs Hotel is not a hotel I will ever recommend.

We had a lovely stay. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant and being able to sit by the fireplace. Very comfortable bed and so close to all the shops and restaurants.

Great property in the center of town. Rooms were large, well appointed and very nice. Continental breakfast wasn't much, but nice. Staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone in the area.

There is no elevator but the staff is helpful and friendly and willing to assist with luggage. We did get asked to leave the bar area at 2145 while playing a board game quietly due to the need to turn the lights off so be aware things roll up early in Hanmer springs 😉
