Beautiful hotel and property, and beautifully maintained grounds. The rooms were spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Great linens, toiletries, and towels. My only complaint was that they weren’t clear with us about whether breakfast was included and neglected to tell us the price- 35 EUR pp, and 7 EUR pp for tea! It’s a five star hotel so it sort of makes sense, but seems a bit steep given the area and what we paid for the room. Would’ve been nice to mention it ahead of time.

I want to especially point out the excellent attention provided for by Laure at the reception and Batiste during breakfast. They were extremely nice and paid attention to every single detail.Chateâu de Brindos has a unique location by the lake.

A lovely escape from busy Biarritz, just 15 minutes away from downtown.
Excellent restaurant, kids-friendly pool area, charming surroundings and we slept like babies.

The staff were very helpful, giving us good recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants in the surrounding area and making reservations for us. An amazing, charming, tranquil place with a very long history. Close to the airport, but a world away. Every detail is perfect, except no air conditioning.

The hotel in lovely and obviously caters for the ‘Up Market’ clientele that they get given the proximity to the fashionable town of Biarritz, however Breakfast was not included and cost 26€ each!!!!! Far too much for a continental breakfast with additional hot items extra! Also be aware you are right next to an airport and will get occasional jet noise (not that busy though.

The Chateau was beautiful and in a peaceful surrounding area with a lake and a pool. Rustic style rooms were provided and brilliant were on hand to help with everything I needed. It is linked to a fantastic restaurant (make sure to book in advanced) which has great food and wine in a somewhat romantic setting

What a lovely setting and our room was fabulous. The staff were really welcoming and pleasant - with one exception. The restaurant staff seemed very dour and not friendly at all. No help with the language and very pointed in their disapproval if you did something wrong - for example when my husband poured his sauce on his own meal! The food in general is exceedingly expensive €26 per head for a fairly average continental breakfast. We had dinner in the restaurant as we were late arriving and it was very expensive. They charged us €4.50 for a pat of butter - I think that is outrageous and petty. Overall, though I thought the place was lovely just a shame about the prices.

we have stayed at over 50 five stars hotels, booked mainly with Expedia,but this hotel was not up to the Standard of Relais and Chateaux,as it is lacking the attention to detail,that you expect of a 5star Hotel . This also is the first ever review that I have done.

Hotel staff very friendly and hospitable. They also spoke excellent English. Location is very attractive, and also close to the airport. For sightseeing the excellent local bus service is required if you dont have a car. The hotel staff were very helpful with information for the buses, and local sightseeing. Would certainly stay again if returning to this pleasant region of France.

The hotel is located on a lake offering a relaxing stay at a short driving distance to Biarritz. The room was very large and beautifully decorated! Total comfort!

We had a lovely time at the beautiful Chateau de Brindos. The building was amazing, great view from our balcony and the staff were so lovely and helpful. Close to the airport and a short taxi ride to town. We would definitely return!

It is a old family home in a lake very close to Bayonne and Biarritz. For an urban area it is very quiet with a forest surrounding the lake. It has a great breakfast for 18 euros in a wonderful dining area. Rooms are very large and the bathtub is marvelous.

This is a luxurious hotel with beautiful grounds. The rooms are hot and stuffy (only negative), but we slept with the balcony door open to let in the breeze. Highly recommended, except for the summer months!

A nice hotel and a pleasing location. Unfortunately for us it only had a fine dinning menu which had very little that a vegetarian could eat. Having a more contemporary dinning option would have been nice.

Beautiful hotel in a very nice environment. Good point is that it is also not in the center of town but remains very close to the centre of Biarritz and Anglet (about 10 minutes drive). A car is a must if you stay there.
