Excellent motel. Great location for Monterey and the start of big Sur.

Returned to this hotel/motel because it was great in the past and it met our expectations this stay. Management even honored my request to save the room I had in the past. I thank them. Also, a breakfast "bag" was obtained from the office and had nice items included.

We checked in and had a freshly cleaned and comfortable room. AC worked great for night sleeping on Fan. Bed and lines were very cozy and comfortable. Lobby area was functional and a breakfast bag was available and fulfilling. No amenities other than a couple outdoor chairs. But we only needed a one night and we’re out early the next day.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed, nice thick towels. Eco-friendly with recycling bins available. Husband happy with the quality of TV, and anyone who uses books in their decorating gets an “A” from me 😁.

The hotel was clean and the staff went out of their way to help you and very friendly. I go in trips often and this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at!

I had a great time there and it was super convenient. It was a by a little gas station and a store for emergency purchases. The room was beautiful and I will def be staying there again. Very cozy!

Our room is the end of the second floor building and there’s no view to see, we have to walked up to the stairs because there’s no elevator. The breakfast is a fast bag to go that you can pick up at the lobby. The bed is a little bit hard on my back. The room is clean and there’s a nice television with internet access in the room.

We stayed 3 nights and it was centrally located to our friends and family. The rooms were on the smaller side but clean and comfy. The comforters on the bed almost felt like weighted blankets. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The to-go bags for breakfast were enough to help us start our day (banana, yogurt, pastry, tangerine and granola bar). It was nice to have the convenience store and gas station attached to the inn. It’s definitely more like a motel than a hotel, but very nice.

The hotel is quiet and small. No frills. Rooms are small but clean and comfy

Rooms clean, beds and pillows very uncomfortable, pretty noisy super thin walls, continental breakfast was not good because they did not allow you to choose what you wanted they put random stuff in a paper bag and handed it to you.

The are and public places are not great but the room, the bed and the white linen were unexpectedly superior. Is a great stop for one night.

More economical stay than Monterey. It was a quick overnight stay. Quick grab and go breakfast was nice. Property is dated, but well maintained. Next to a big road, but at least set back behind the gas pumps and traffic was light overnight. Residential area looked decent for a run in the morning.

Over all it was great however needs new paint and maybe remove mildew

The inside of the room was clean and roomy and staff are friendly. My only issue was with the noise from the gas station that's part of the hotel and the paper bag breakfast. Trucks and traffic in and out throughout the night.

Great for a one night stay with children

Luckily it was a one night quick stay for us. We checked in close to midnight and left before 8am. This place is a motel and that said it all. I wouldn’t choose it again.

A very clean and we'll maintained inn. Need to improve on the breakfast provided. Will still return to stay on my next trip.

The motel is right behind a gas station, appears to be kind of one property. Everything was nice though. One unusual aspect is they give you a bag with your breakfast in it to take back to your room rather than having a breakfast room.

The room and grounds were very clean. The hotel itself is ok but needs updating. For the price point and convenience it’s fine. Suitable for a one or two night stay expectations just the basics.

Room was nice size, comfy bed and pillows. Tv was pretty small but everything else was good.

This is an old motor in we had to come for a camp & a weekend stay in July everywhere is super expensive. We paid $215 a night not including taxes the room would’ve been fine for $125 a night maybe but way overpriced For what I had to pay. It’s attached to a gas station and convenience store which I think is weird. The rooms are very basic but were clean enough for one night grab and go breakfast was a cutie, a banana, a yogurt and a granola bar. The staff was nice but I wouldn’t stay here unless you’re planning on not spending any time in the room and just need a place to sleep and shower which is what we did.

NO breakfast, not sure it could be called continental. Out of 3 nights they came into our room once to leave towels and pick the garbage up. Never made the bed, coffee was terrible. Although the room was clean the outside was not. It isn't representative of 8.6

On the outside, it looks average at best and shares a parking lot with a gas station. The rooms however we updated, clean, and just the right size. The guy at the desk was kind and helpful, and the bagged breakfast was great to take on the road. Great stop for family road trip. There was a gap under the door which made it a little more noisy than needed.

This quaint small motel was very nice. The staff was exceptional. Exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend.

This is a 2 star motel striving to be a 3 star motel. Service was good and all the staff we contacted were friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable. Rooms were large and clean. Bed was comfortable. Furniture was nice. There were many electrical outlets around the room. TV worked well . WiFi was good. The negative. They use a single comforter in place of blankets which for me never works at any hotel/motel. They are on a busy road with a 24 hour gas station on the property which all the rooms face. Might be a problem if you are a light sleeper. When the motel is full there is not enough parking spaces. There was light coming under our door so bugs could enter although we saw none. Neutral items. Breakfast consisted of a sack with a banana, yogurt, cheese, danish, and a granola bar. They provide free coffee in the morning. This was our first visit but it appears they are working to upgrade the property. Weather stripping on the bottom of the doors would help.
