Rooms were very nice but needed a coffee maker and more towels. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Schaffhausen is a beautiful city with great dining option and shopping just steps from the hotel.

Nice hotel located on a square. Had a good dinner at the hotel and breakfast was good too. We were cycling up the Rhine. The hotel is near the path and easy to find. Good bike garage with charging for e-bikes. Recommended

The hotel was comfortable, but I was a bit concerned when we walked in and saw earplugs on the nightstands. We were right next to a church, so the clock did chime during reasonable hours. There was a busy restaurant on the first floor with outdoor dining. In the evenings, this area could be a bit noisy. They did accommodate us and extend our checkout by an hour so we could visit the Rhinefall.

The location has its good and bad. It is located in the center of the city. That means it is very convenient. However, it is located next to the St. Johann Reformed Church. You will hear the clock rings every hour (until 10 or 11pm). You will hear noise (people partying and talking during mid-night). There is no AC, when you shut the windows, you may feel very hot at night.

The hotel is less than a 4 minute walk from the train station. The old town area around the hotel has lots of shopping and dining options. The facility is very well maintained and neat. The hotel restaurant was surprisingly reasonable and the food was very good. Our only complaint is the noise. The church bells were rather loud and with the windows open we could hear crowd noise below late into the evening. Thank you for the ear plugs. We would definitely stay there again.

Very good hotel in a good location.

Love this property. Friendly staff. Every one. Don’t want to leave out the front desk who helped with directions and language barrier. Restaurant staff was also helpful with food suggestions and very good food. Also the breakfast staff help with accommodating my allergies!! But what’s even better… is at the beginning off our travels. I picked up a cold. Which was easy a few weeks ago. This place has the best sauna and steam room. It has cleared up the cold! Thank you so much.

The room temperature was not able to be regulated so well because of the large area and the use of radiatores.

Great location, walkable from the train station, in the middle of town. Room was nicely furnished but there’s no A/C (like most older hotels in Europe). There was a fan in the room, provided by the hotel so that helped. Breakfast included. Would stay there again.

superb location in the heart of schaffhausen. we were a group.of ten on a cycle holiday and had a support van with us which we were able to park right outside (early july) Everything in Schaffhausen is expensive and the hotel restaurant is no exception but the food and service were excellent.

A modern hotel with nice rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel is located in the very centre of Schaffhausen and has good breakfast. The only negative was that the room smelled a bit moldy and when I looked into this I found that there was no ventilation at all- only by opening the windows. The service was nice and there is a small (very small) gym. It was easy to park the car just next to the hotel.

Very nice hotel. Public parking is all around the hotel, but feeding the meter may be necessary depending upon when you arrive. You owe it to yourself to have dinner at the Kronenstube restaurant, which is excellent. If you get the four-course tasting menu be sure to ask for the local wine pairings, which are not on the menu.

Wasn't what I expected, although the location was perfect. Right in the middle of old town. It felt like a dorm room and without air conditioning. The breakfast, however, was very good!

The hotel is nicely located within walking distance of the beautiful down-town Schaffhausen. There's a bell that goes off every hour so could affect your sleep. The hotel is very nice, very clean and the people very friendly.

Right in the center of the old town, with beautiful views of the castle and church from our window, this is a good quality facility with friendly helpful staff.

We spent one night in Schaffhausen, at first simply because it was only about 40 minutes away from the Zurich airport for a morning departure. However, we were really happy to find out the Schaffhausen is a beautiful historic district with several nice restaurants. Our hotel rooms balcony looked directly out on the square and was virtually feet away from the historic church, with an amazing view of the fort on the hill in the distance.The staff at the hotel were extremely nice, and the rooms were very nice. Small room size, but thats normal for Europe, and a nice balcony with small table and chairs to enjoy the amazing view. The bathroom was nice, albeit with a shower only configuration. No air conditioning exists, but we left the window open all night and had zero bugs fly in.All in all, i would definitely recommend staying at the hotel.

The hotel is in an amazing location and is very unique. When I needed to email them they chose to respond about half the time. They made it easy for me to check in late. The bedroom and bathroom were very small but it was the first room I had in a while in Europe with a mini bar/fridge in the room.

Great place to stay, great staff, great location. If you drive, you will need to park somewhere, since the hotel is in the heart of the old city and it doesn’t have own parking.

Very nice hotel in a perfect location, into the city centre. The 3 stars hotel has more the standard of a 4 stars! Nice large and clean bedroom. We recommend this hotel to all tourists visiting Schaffausen
