We stayed here one night, Staff were helpful, there were one or two issues which could have been attended to in the room before we arrived e.g kettle leaked, curtain hanging off hooks, soap dispenser in the bathroom not working. Even though our stay was in August it was colder outside than expected for the time of year and was not particularly warm in the room and there was no heating at all in the room. Food was good but very limited menu. The lounge area and dining area were comfortable, the room was clean but felt there were one or two things which could have been dealt with before arrival.

It was a comfortable stay. The room was clean but some redecoration needed. The food in the restaurant was limited in the evening with no real healthy options and we waited a while though an apology was offered. The breakfast buffet had limited options unless a cooked breakfast was offered, and as we were eating at the start of the last hour of service some of the food options must have been there a while. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. There were plenty of car park spaces. We would stay again if we needed to, and would recommend to others depending on requirements.

The lift wasn't working, we were on the top floor. Lots of stairs and much to carry from the car. The staff when we checked in helped to carry some of the gear to the room but the staff in the morning, despite being asked, didn't help until all but some jackets had been carried down the stairs. Really quite annoying and disappointing.

Modern if characterless hotel where everything is just nice, nothing outstanding. Dinner was order at the bar from a limited menu but food was good, service less so with only one guy doing everything. He was less-than-content and let it show. Room was cold but otherwise comfortable, with everything I needed for 1 night. In a word: adequate.

Hotel was clean and room comfortable, beer served in bar was awful, breakfast was just warm.

It was supposed to be a privilege room - no soap in dispenser by sink or in the shower. Lift out of order and coffee machine out of order. Gym is small but good equipment. Not sure that it felt value for money. 3 out of 5.

Booked a double … got two single beds pushed together … caused nothing but pain throughout the night for me and my partner … window was broken so couldn’t open it .. and the radiator was stuck on so it got hot

The hotel has seen better days and is ok. No sap in the shower, fittings a bit damaged and window that would not stay open. Needs some better care and attention.

Decent clean hotel with ample parking decent food etc good little gym . Ok value for money I think hotels are getting silly in general in the uk sorry . Wifi wasn’t as good as flips be in a 4 star hotel .

Good location near the main road. Clean and quiet.

Beds comfy, pillows terrible. We had a very dark room which made it difficult when getting ready. Bathroom took an extremely long time to de-mist, bathroom requires attention as a whole. Housekeeping entered the room prior to checkout time without much notice, awkward for both parties. Only stayed due to location as attended a wedding nearby. Wouldn’t return unfortunately

I had made an error in booking and the staff member, I can't remember her name, was really helpful. All the staff I encountered at breakfast and the front desk were really lovely and helpful. Rooms were very clean and the rain shower heads, made the early wake up so much easier.

Hotel was lovely, clean and welcoming. Can be loud with other peoples tv’s at night and only serve continental breakfast at weekend - which is the same price as cooked breakfasts.

Lovely staff and room clean. I got a good deal for a one night stay, but my room was at the back of the hotel on a corner against bushes and trees and got no sunlight. It was dark and cold, I had to turn the radiator on as it also felt damp. The restaurant was closed for a couple of nights, so no food available. The breakfast was OK, but if I stayed again I wouldn't bother, it wasnt worth the money. Overall if I got the same deal I would use again, it was better than one if the big chain Prem/Lodge places as the rooms were a better standard.

Booked at last minute due to booking at a previous venue was not honored . Pleasantly surprised with outcome.

Clean, comfortable and well- equipped with friendly staff.

We booked here as our Daughter was married at Salmesbury Hall ,there was an initial problem on arrival due to a problem with the water pump however Becky and the team could not do enough for us .Comfy beds

Breakfast was not ready and poorly presented. Nobody on reception and had to leave my key and fill a piece of paper with the room number on it to say I have left. Good job I didn’t need An invoice. Felt very tired and a bit run down as a hotel

Nice comfortable hotel, clean and quiet. Plenty of car parking spaces. Ordered room service for dinner as was told there was a big party arriving for the restaurant. Only down fall from the stay was at 8.30am there was virtually no breakfast items left, except stale bread/pastries. Guess you better get up earlier if you want a full english!

Really disappointed with this hotel. Terriblly thin walls, so could hear everything in the other rooms. I wouldn’t say this is a 4 star, as most premier inn’s are better (as a comparison, which I try to avoid).

Carpet iñ the room was dirty and clearly hadn't been vacuumed before or during my stay. Had a meal in restaurant first night and moved the unused cutlery and napkin to one side. Sat at same table following night and cutlery and napkin were still exactly as left previous night, along with small sauce spillage. Floor was not swept either. If this is the cleaning regime front of house I dread to think what the kitchen might be like. Place doesn't appear to have been updated in the last 20 years. Bathrooms are OK but some rooms need some good maintenance.

I paid for breakfast in advance and paid in full but only continental breakfast was available. When I questioned this the receptionist said they were reviewing the cost but I heard no more

Excellent one night stay....no complaints whatsoever. Spacious room, comfy bed, excellent shower. Ate in the hotel with colleagues and we were all happy with the meal and service. Good breakfast to send us on our way.

Room was cold, light bulbs had blown, remote for the heating did not work. Had to pay a £25 pre authorisation fee even though I said I’d be paying for my food and meals and not booking them to my room. The £25 would then be credited back to my account 3 days after my departure!!!!!! I’m guessing it was the duty manager that I spoke to and was told “not my idea, it’s policy” she then went on to tell me that all hotels do this. Menu in the bar was different to the one in the room and had very little choice, ordered a burger with potato wedges but when my meal came it was with fries. I pointed out the error to be told “the menu is wrong and this is what it is now”. No apology. On the 2nd night the menu had changed again but even less choice. Ordered chicken with chunky chips & onion rings, it came with fries and no onion rings. I pointed this out and the food and beverage manager changed the fries for chunky chips but I was told they had run out of onion rings, I said that if the meal wasn’t complete then I shiver a reduction in the price only to be told very bluntly NO. Buffet style breakfast was like warm at best with little choice. Bar staff were good and help but the management are terrible and unhelpful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS - TERRIBLE MANAGEMENT AND CUSTOMER RELATIONS.

The rooms were nice and included an iron and iron board. Breakfast was lovely but there was no fruit on offer. However, when i asked for some, it was brought out to me.

Very nice hotel with comfortable modern rooms and facilities. Highly recommended.

Stayed here a few times to break our journey up to Scotland would definitely recommend we will return.
