Great location but service is below par. Ferry from pier to hotel can be a hassle. Checkin experience was slow and painful too. Staff is courteous but doesn’t seem too bothered towards customer comfort or requirements.
However, the location is great and private beach is nice too. So if you are here for few days of quiet, relaxed holiday - it’s fine. But if you want to go to other parts too , it can be a hassle and you would loose time in transfers. Food / restaurants at the hotel are expensive too. Breakfast is decent.

Weather in ,November is not good. Raining the whole time.

Beautiful setting and gorgeous room
Spa service was also fantastic

Very nice resort with a beautiful beach and surroundings. Food and drinks too expensive though compared to Ao Nang.

This hotel is beautiful! Definitely the grandest in Ao Nang with cliff views from the beach. My husband & I came here on our honeymoon and we couldn’t have asked for a better hotel room, overlooking the cliffs and ocean, and beach/pool area was great to relax at. The room itself is very nice as well and the shower was great. The pools and beach are very well kept. The breakfast was amazing. It had such a huge selection of breads, international foods, and juices. We only had a few dislikes 1. The hotel food and drink is extremely overpriced, and is not good. We could not fathom the price of anything there. Everything is basically 4-5x the price of anything else in the rest of Thailand. Sadly, we were so appalled by the prices we could not bring ourselves to spend any money there on anything other than the hotel room we had already paid for. Luckily we were able to take the monkey trail every day for food. 2. The romantic dinner was right in the middle of their beach, in front of a ton of people, and was not private whatsoever. I had booked online before visiting the hotel and the moment I got to the hotel and realized where it was located on the beach, I was very disappointed. For the very high price, the food wasn’t good either 3. The shampoo had the same effect on my hair as dish soap and they had no conditioner. Overall, great stay though! We loved the beachfront view from our room and the hotel is in a good location right on the other side of the monkey trail in Ao Nang.

It is not a 5 star hotel, barely a 2-3 stars.
Staff not prepared to help or assist with anything, not trained and dont speak english well. Staff very confused as well, with very different informations.
I reserved an Ocean View Room but could only see trees outside the room that I was brought.
Be aware that you are not going to rest at this “resort”. Most of the time you are going to be pre occupied with the service.
Furniture at the room was so old and smell really bad. My first night was with my wife and mosquitos. Linen was so dirty… What a bad experience…
Don’t know what else to say, it was the worst treatment I received in a hotel.
Really interfered in my vacation.
I hope thar after you read this, you should think twice about going to this place.

Great experience with stunning view

This property is a remote location requires a boat and if the weather is bad there is no boat and must hike a trail that is very slippery and dangerous and has monkeys that orders the ocean that is typically in this time when you don't have the boat tides are high and very dangerous absolutely no handicap or disability access. Also the monkeys attacked our room and broke everything glass, ate food and went through our bags. 4 MONKEYS. The hotel did not show up to clean the room or give us any accommodation for this extreme inconvenience. Not only were we stranded at the hotel but we were inconvenienced and were forced to just check out and leave was a very unpleasant experience and very rainy.

The boat services which used for check in to hotel and transportation between city to hotel is terriable and unsafe

We spent 9 days here and enjoyed our stay largely because the location is breathtaking, and the excursions were amazing! The quality of the service, cleanliness and food were mediocre even for the low price that we paid. Don't get me wrong, everyone on staff is eager to help and very nice to deal with when you ask for something. They just are not well trained in how to provide top notch service. I don't blame the staff; I blame the management. The property is in desperate need a renovation and we did not feel the rooms were properly cleaned. The food was not great at all with the exception of the breakfast buffet, which was expansive and nice.
There is so much potential here if they were to invest some money into the property and upgrade the training of their staff. The price was great, so I did feel like we got good value overall. I just felt like they oversold what you get. We probably would not choose to stay here again if we were to visit the area.

Property was beautiful. Staff was very helpful… especially Jeff and others when our safe wouldn’t open. Breakfast was fabulous. Pool and beach were wonderful. Spa was amazing.

I loved the room and facilities. Gorgeous place, amazing view, peaceful and quiet, the staff are wonderfully friendly. I had a great Thai massage here. Very close to Aonang Beach, and that was fun. Paddle boarding was fun. The Velcro safety ankle bracelet on the paddle board was very worn and I was t sure it would hold. Something to replace. There is some west and tear on furniture here and there but I didn’t mind. The breakfast options were astounding. For me as a gluten free person I would love a few more options. The chef was more than happy to let me know which items were gluten free.

This place has just one thing going for it. The location is amazing. The view from the room is outstanding. Service and anything else you might expect from a 4 or 5 star hotel with pricing to match is not there. We would not recommend this location and it is a place we would not try to stay again.

A beautiful resort with good food - breakfast spread was amazing. Nice pool with a small water slide. Be ready to walk over a small hill thru a steep wooden staircase called the monkey trail if you wanna get to Ao Nang Beach. Nice speed boat takes you in and out of the hotel however this may not be convenient for all guests. The hotel buggy (golf cart) takes a while to come for the transportation of all the guests around the hotel but the staff try really hard and are very helpful despite being overwhelmed. Hotel was full even in low season. Our room had a hot tub which was superb and the view to the ocean was even better.

The hotel is suffering from very very low maintenance. Its sad because its such a beautiful resort. I really suggest Centara group or to invest in deep renovation or to change the manager. Some things cannot be unseen and left like this. Its a scandal.

The resort is beautiful. I don't think you can find more beautiful. Rooms are a tad dated and could use some upgrades. I also think they should have more frequent boats running to ao nang. But other than that i highly recommend. I would stay there again.

The resort itself was amazing, right on the beach with a great pool. The only downfall is if you want to do some shopping or get out of the resort, you have to take a boat shuttle or walk the monkey trail. The continental breakfast was great as they had many options to choose from. However, restaurants in the resort were very pricey (at least we felt like)!

Loved the beach. But I do think there should be more liveliness like music in different areas instead of just the beach club.

From the beginning it was very tough as the Hotel has a fake location where you arrive to an empty building and then a bus transports you for the boat pick up which is almost 20 to 25 minutes until you arrive to the beach where there's a tiny wooden boat that transports you to the main hotel. This boat was delayed for almost 35 minutes and then once you get on the boat, it's almost a 35 minute ride. The boat is very incapable and very unprofessional for a five star hotel it's open from the all sides, unconditioned, and you could get very wet from the waves as I got very wet from the sea and they are very harsh Mid-sea the benches you sit on are made of wood, which is very uncomfortable specially when the right is very bouncy on the wave. Since they load your baggage along the boat with you and 10 other people, you could expect all your baggage to get wet because once they put them on the floor of the boat and the waves starts hitting the bottom of the boat which gets completely filled with water, it could get into your bags like it happened to me. Once you arrive to the main hotel on the island, you'd have to walk for 10 minutes through the pool and the beach to arrive to the lobby and then wait almost 20 to 25 minutes to get your room. There's only one person that is available to help you check in, and then they take one family per time to their room so you'd have to wait until they come back to pick you up and show you to your room.

The staff were rude and unhelpful. They totally don’t care about the guests and their needs. Don’t recommend this property. Stay in one of the properties in Ao Nang town instead. There are lots of activities and longer beach with walk along the pier.

What an amazing resort tucked between the mountains

highly recommend. great resort and spa

Isolation was a plus point initially, but transportation to/from was limited. Some guests while I was there were boorish and demanding. Staff were a delight, but forgot some minor requests. The premises need a lick of paint, but it was clear some maintenance, particularly to gardens and infrastructure was taking place.
2.0
It is incredibly dated. They have about half the number of staff they need. Basic things like showerhead and door locks are all poorly constructed. Very limited access to the outside. They don’t tell you about the floating dock until after you’ve already booked. All in all, fairly terrible experience.

How could anyone rate this hotel good?
Please please take this review into consideration before booking. The service for the boat transfer is not worth your time, your money, ANYTHING. This hotel is only accessible by boat, or monkey trail (hike) which is not something anyone wants to do more than once, especially not to finish a relaxing night. I had reserved a boat to the hotel at 8:30 after an island tour. Our tour ran late and we arrived at the pier at 8:40. The worker at the pier said that the last three boats 9:15, 10, & 11 were full and that we basically had to take a taxi to the whole other side of the beach and do the monkey trail. He did not give a crap about us being stuck at the pier, not to mention, there was no tuk tuks or taxis around and the path to get to the main part of the road was pitch black?
How can this hotel know that there are guests of theirs at the pier and not give a crap enough about them to at least run an extra boat or help us figure it out? What if you go for dinner and decide you want to grab drinks after? They could not give less of a crap how we got back to the hotel even if we swam. Awful experience and you MUST reserve a boat 1 day in advance. 2k bhat for a drink and 2 bad meals. For the price of this hotel the stress is so not worth it. PLEASE Save your money, save your peace, find somewhere that you won’t have this issue. I ignored some of the reviews warning about this before booking because I figured “how bad can it be” but it ruin

Boat service too and from the hotel is good, it goes every hour from hotel to pier. But the pier is too far from Ao Nang (shops, restaurants, bars etc) and then you have to get taxi there, which isn’t cheap! Takes about 15 mins from hotel to pier and then another 10 mins in taxi to Ao Nang.
Quickest way to Ao Nang is by walking the monkey trail, which isn’t easy, a lot of steep stairs takes about 20 minutes, wouldn’t recommend with young kids.
Hotel prices for food, alcohol, massage etc is so so expensive, double or triple the price for the same thing you get in town!
Breakfast buffet was ok, not a lot of options for western cuisine, they mainly cater for Indians, most guests there were Indian when we stayed.
Overall, the hotel is nice, rooms cleaned everyday and staff are friendly and helpful.
It you want a resort style holiday, laying by the pool all day then it’s good but very inconvenient if you want to explore and see other parts of Krabi

My expectations were exceeded. I read all the reviews before booking but I have nothing negative to say! The staff was courteous and attentive. The boats were frequent and convenient. The food was mostly delicious, with variety of options. We booked the phi phi island tour which was most convenient with excellent guide. It’s secluded enough that my kids could be trusted to do their own thing when they wanted. I traveled solo with my 18 year old daughter and 12 year old son. The E-zone was closed but the kid zone had a PlayStation 4 and 5 that my son enjoyed playing while my daughter and I got massages as Spa Cenvare which was heaven. The staff promptly did wound care when my son got scraped up on the beach. The staff promptly fixed our door which wouldn’t seal shut so bugs didn’t get in. The street food and fire show as Sun Bua was AMAZING. The breakfast buffet had so many interesting options. Monkey trail was a highlight, as was kayaking and paddle boarding along the karsts where we saw monitor lizards, a huge snake and crabs. We had such a magical vacation. This was a tropical paradise that appears as if you are on a private island the way it’s nestled on the coast. Would stay again.

The beach front property was amazing. The aminitys were good. Although the room service was a bit slow the bar and pool side service was excellent. Not crazy convenient to get to Aonong beach area but as long as you know that going in you will love it. Fantastic remote location.
5.0
Great location if you want to isolate yourself from the city life. It’s on the private island and requires a boat to transport from the pier (15 mins ride).
Very polite staff. Will visit again.

It was a beautiful experience to stay at Centara Grand in Krabi. We felt like we were in paradise. Incredible location. It was fun to boat in and also to be able to take the "Monkey Tail" into town.
2.0
Friendly and helpful staff and good service which exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Tangmo! 😊 Few shortcomings about the hotel are the lack of entertainment and activities, generally for everyone but especially for kids. The kids club and everything about it was extremely disappointing that our son didn’t even want to be there without us. Extremely high prices at the restaurants and the food quality was not matching the high price. Extremely secluded and difficult to get to the town and back via monkey trail. Not possible to order food from outside the resort either. Breakfast quality varied during our 8 nights stay… there were days where there were many choices and some days limited. Extremely poor with omlette stand.

Although the facility and food were excellent, the staff makes this place a must stay. The staff were so happy and willing to help with any need. A special thank you to Tangmo. She was extremely helpful with an injury sustained (completely my fault) on the monkey trail. We feel very lucky she was there and so willing to help. Her concern for us was very genuine.

The location of the hotel is beautiful and the view is beautiful, but the furniture is old and needs renovation, and the food needs modifications because it is less than normal. There was a reservation for a romantic dinner and payment was made in advance via electronic payment. At the time of checkout, I was asked to pay, but fortunately I kept the payment invoice.
2.5
This is a wonderful place! Luxurious without any stuffiness. The entire staff are wonderful, kind and attentive. Food is likewise very nice and good value for a resort. Oh, and the location is spectacular!
