Arrived at 8pm, check in friendly and seamless. Got my EV into a charger and downloaded app all easy.
Room was spacious and clean, bathroom had Milton Brown toiletries which was nice. Bed was a bit soft and could probably do with a new mattress.
Went for dinner in Roosters and staff were excellent and food was lovely
Breakfast was great and again staff were friendly and warm
Checkout was easy and friendly
The staff definitely make this hotel.

A lovely boutique hotel, nestled in some beautiful surroundings and a classic quiet England village. The big draw for me is the golf facilities. A stunning 18 hole main course and a great 9 hole course. The driving range is also a rare gem with real grass practice areas. The staff are very friendly and engaging and more than willing to help. The room itself is spacious and very comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and I couldn't recommend it more.

The scores of four were for very specific things that they now know about and will sort. We love staying here and wish it was just a little cheaper so we could stay longer. We love having a meal in the Dovecote Restaurant and having a summer evening drink in the lovely garden.

Lovely place, it was like a Christmas magic. Beautiful. Staff is lovely and helpful, room was clean, bed super comfortable, decent breakfast… can’t ask for more .

The staff were amazing and Andrew the owner took time to socialize with us even to the point as where he took us on a guided to tour of the golf course and property. We stayed for 21 days and completely enjoyed the experience. We definitely can recommend this hotel

My stay was pleasant. I find where the hotel fell down is the quality of the food, which I found to be average. For these prices I expect to have decent coffee and a good size television.

Lovely spacious room, sunny outdoor area through door out of room, large comfortable bed. Only thing I'd change is the shower curtain, not a fan of these! On site restaurant's food was excellent and reasonably priced with an excellent choice of quality wine. Owner was on hand and visible to meet and greet customers. Superb breakfast with local produce included in room rate. A genuinely nice experience, will visit again and hopefully have time to play the golf course next time!

Convenient location. Friendly staff. Good food. Good value View over lake definitely superior to view over car park and main road, and a lot quieter with window open due to heat. (Our rooms - one overlooking car park and one overlooking lake- both had overhead fans)

Great hotel. Sadly we had a room in the basement which didn’t have the best view as the upper levels. Jackie was great and emailed to book dinner for the evening for us as it was busy in the restaurant. Brilliant menu , even for us vegetarians. Another staff member at reception could have done with being a bit more friendly and approachable, but thanks Jackie for a great stay

Overall the stay was nice. Unfortunately the air con unit wouldn’t change heat and it was very noisy throughout the night:keeping us both awake
The breakfast was very greasy too.
