Beautiful property, will definitely visit it again.

Beautiful hotel with nicely decorated rooms and well located in Budapest. Staff is courteous overall but some of the cleaning support staff can be rather abrupt with their knocking at 8AM – my mistake for not putting up the DND sign. Restaurant staff is also helpful, but I wish it had elevator access for people with mobility issues.

This is an exceptional hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the property is stunning. I would definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful stay. My room was beautiful and very large. I also had a large patio. It may have been a junior suite ( I upgraded upon arrival)

Everything was excellent apart from the food, which was disappointing.

Lovely grand hotel! Excellent service from the bellmen, front desk, concierge, spa and housekeeping. Delicious meal at The White Salon with amazing decor, food and excellent service. We had massages and facials at the spa and then enjoyed the sauna pools and steam. The rooms were huge and very comfortable beds. Spacious bathroom with nice soaps and towels. My family loved this hotel. It’s located on a busy street and is about a 10-15 minute walk to the touristy areas. But we looked at the hotel as a destination in itself. Jennifer the concierge, was super helpful and booked us a boat cruise and helped with restaurant and shopping suggestions. Overall we had a fantastic stay at this gorgeous hotel. Can’t wait to visit again.

Great experience

A lovely hotel, with large rooms - some with terraces. Adjacent to the famous and popular New York Cafe. Hotel breakfast is very good. Service is adequate to above average. Lobby is spacious and light, with plenty of places to relax. Poet's Bar is a nice addition. Location is a little outside of the central area so it took 20 minutes or so to walk to everyday. Prices lower than similar hotels located more centrally so a reasonable trade off. Would recommend.

It is a super high quality hotel with every detail of the finest quality. They staff is trained to perfection.

This place is just awful. The room was beautiful… the staircase and ceilings were beautiful. The door guys were wonderful the lady at check in… not so wonderful.. our roof was leaking the whole time we were there. The restaurant staff was absolutely rude. Spent two hours in there and they never filled our water glasses or asked us if we wanted refilling our cocktails. The food was pretty good but it wasn’t hot. It was better when I ordered room service. I was here for a work trip and I came to relax, enjoy the spa, and work on my laptop in between meetings. These people treated me like I was low rent scum and I would not recommend staying here at all. The manager even messaged me basically telling me that I had no reason to complain because it was pretty there and my bed was comfortable. I’m sorry but if I’m paying for a five star hotel I want five star service. As a business owner my entire staff would be fired for the way these people treated me. I spent about 2 hours in the spa. It was very underwhelming and the lady that massaged Me wasn’t welcoming at all which made it really awkward. Please spend money somewhere better… it’s pretty, but not pretty enough to be treated like trash. The manager alone is a great reason to not go there. Id advise corporate to remove him. Thanks for guaranteeing that I never do business in Budapest ever again. Also… the homeless population outside the building is crazy. So much crime out there… unsafe… rude and just awful place.

Pleasantly surprised at the magnificence of the hotel as well as the restaurant and spa. Luxury everywhere! The staff was extremely helpful and contributed to making this a wonderful stay.

I expected a better welcome at the check-in, and I expected my notes at the booking to be taken care of especially since they contacted me before my arrival and I replied. But when I arrived the lady at the reception was a bit rude and refused to give me the exact room as I booked it earlier and I mentioned it in my note to the hotel before arrival. I was there around 2:45 pm and she said I will not check you in before 3:00 pm so I waited in the lobby without offering me any hot/cold drinks. When it was 3:05 she didn't talk to me, So I went to her desk and she gave me a different room clarifying that the hotel was fully booked! plus I mentioned that I needed hypoallergenic bedding in the room, and when I went to the room it was full of feathers and was not vacuumed. I couldn’t sleep well and I woke up with a headache.

The service from the entire staff was exceptional. When we encountered a mechanical issue with our room, Juhasz Virag the guest manager upgraded our room, comped breakfast, gave us a departure box of chocolates and had the kitchen prepare a snack for our flight. She went above and beyond to provide exceptional service. We travel the world staying in the finest hotels and this hotel and service ranks up there with the best. We also took advantage of the spa including massages. Leona in the spa provided one of the best massages I have ever experienced. Incredible!! This was our 2nd visit to Budapest, we love this city, and if we return, we will be staying again at the Anantara in a junior suite.

The hotel was really beautiful. We had a room with a terrace although i would say the step in and out of the room to the terrace was very steep and i bruised my leg on the side table which was very close to the door. The bed was comfortable and the cleaning service excellent. We had a meal in the hotel which was amazing and we had massages and used the spa

1st. the breakfast was a big downer, with intrusion from visitors to the grand café, that was opened to hotel guests as well as for visitors from the street, taking pictures all the time, which bothered me a lot. Didn't feel like I was in a private place for the hotel guests. It was noisy and agitated to the point I could not enjoy it, so I did not take the breakfast at the hotel the following day. I asked the guest service to remove the breakfast from my room bill, and it was denied, which is rude and uncommon from a 5 star hotel, from service standpoint for a hotel at this level. Air conditioning was intermittent so it was hot inside the room suite at nights. The area around the hotel is not very nice, quite a rundown city center. For these reasons I can say that It was not resting or relaxing vacationing as I expected it to be. I couldnt sleep well or have proper calm breakfast. I wouldnt be back.

This hotel was faultless, the facilities, rooms, service and all the staff were amazing. Definitely looking forward to staying here again.

The most amazing hotel. We travel often and this hotel is the best in every way.

Everythings was nice. The staff was really friendly, the food was extremely delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, they used premium materials everywhere.

The building is stunning inside and out. Our room (grand room city view) was enormous and well worth spending a little more; the walk in wardrobe was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. The spa has its own elevator; the pool, saunas and staff were very welcoming after a long day sightseeing. All staff around the hotel are very attentive, helpful and quick in all that they do, the breakfast area is truly beautiful and the hot menu has a fair amount in addition to the buffet. It is located less than a minute from the metro (M2), buses and trams, which can generally get you to a tourist location within 15 mins or less. I would definitely stay here again, a lovely experience and a great treat to yourself!

The property is very nice, the rooms are a bit outdated. I would not stay again because the location is terrible. The surrounding neighborhood is dirty, smelly, and grungy. Really took back from the nice hotel experience.

One of our worst experiences due to in-room theft, which was have very strong was by housekeeping staff. We do not make these allegations lightly, but there is very good evidence. Moreover, it seems to be a common problem at this hotel as mentioned by other guests. Our biggest gripe with the hotel is how they handled it -- preferring to brush it under the rug and not deal with it. It is their interest to not publically admit the issue, but it doesn't detract from the fact they have a duty to keep guests safe from harms such as the one we experienced. This is a strong failure from the hotel, the group, and even the LHW association.
